Meals in hotels in Turkey and medicine
I want to know - we want to fly to Turkey for the first time this year. I have stomach problems. No fried, spicy. So I don't know where to go. Tell those who have already been. Will I be able to find a hotel where there is ordinary food. Boiled meat, cereals, etc.
And one more thing: how are things going with medicine? If you, God forbid, get sick and have to go to a doctor or hospital? I would really appreciate your feedback!

1. Choose hotels where a dietary table is declared. Or childish. There is always broth, boiled vegetables, fish, chicken or meat. There are all kinds of side dishes on the main table, they are all practically without salt and spices))) But if you really want to get good diet food, these are good or very good hotels. Hence, not cheap. 2. When booking a tour, honey is issued. insurance. In all cases, you should ONLY contact the insurance company, the phone number of which is indicated in the insurance !!!! Do not trust the hotel doctor!!! It's always bullshit, AND VERY expensive!!! In addition to compulsory insurance, you can always get ADDITIONAL, it costs a penny (300-600 rubles for two), but this is an excellent "straw", which always does not interfere with "laying". Be sure to complete a first aid kit with you for all occasions. Especially if you are traveling with children. Although medicines are cheaper in Turkey than here.

As for medicine - very good and very expensive. You'd better take care of good insurance for those traveling abroad, not relying on the insurance that will be included with the tour package (usually this is a "filkin's letter"). What to look for - coverage (the more the better), no deductible, and a list of cases that are insured.
There are hotels with a diet table, but unfortunately I will not tell you which ones. The ones I've been to usually provide a few dietary options, but there wasn't much choice. I don’t remember porridge, except for boiled rice, which is always and everywhere, but boiled vegetables - carrots, cauliflower and broccoli were almost always there. Meat, if not fried, then stewed, boiled, I don’t remember anywhere either. Always dairy products, a lot of fresh vegetables. The higher the level of the hotel, the better and more varied the food.

No insurance company will treat chronic diseases. And the more expensive the hotel, the better the diet table

Regarding medicine, medicines are cheap, and medical services are very expensive. Although there is always an option with a refund on insurance.
With regards to dietary cuisine, read in the description of hotels and check in the reviews of visitors. Turkish dishes are always full of spices. But every 5 star hotel has porridge. So I think there will be no problems with food.

in any 5 * hotel there are cereals, there are various soups, boiled rice as a side dish, vegetables baked without oil, just don't be tempted by fried and spicy...

Clarification: far from EVERYONE!!! 5 * hotel has porridge))) Sometimes they are not even in very good and expensive "fives" (if we mean porridge in our understanding (undercooked sweet rice does not count!)

specifically in Turkey, I rested for a long time in Grand Haber 5 * in Kemer and in Holiday Park 5 * in Alanya, there were porridges in both hotels. In general, oatmeal was found everywhere where they rested - in addition to Turkey, even in Egypt, Thailand, the Czech Republic, Spain, even France (where they do not recognize anything English), Mauritius, the United Arab Emirates, the Maldives (there it was served with strawberry "compote" - boiled in syrup strawberries) ... Various muesli and milk or kefir were also everywhere. It seems to me that you can always find something dietary, just the choice can be small ...

Good diet tables in Amara hotels. There are porridge. Broth other meat, vegetables, side dishes. Buy good insurance, if it becomes sharply ill, the insurance covers.

Do not rely on the insurance company, it is better not to get sick in Turkey!
Unfortunately, they "treated" and "examined" both at the hotel doctor and at the clinic, only in a VERY expensive hospital (700 USD per day) there was a result, although there were also some nuances and the diet in the hospital consisted of acute, fried and sour foods.
The level of medicine in Turkey is not very high, and most importantly, their diagnosis and treatment method are hidden from the patient! The concept of sanitary hygiene in Turkey is relative... I described everything in detail in my review.
Medicines in Turkey have already been written to you cheaper there, you don’t have to take a lot with you.
Don't rely on a hotel diet table - it may not meet your expectations AT ALL, the menu selection is usually VERY limited, as a rule. Last year I read a lot of reviews about different hotels with a diet table or baby food. We were in a hotel with a diet table. The affected children were poisoned with green peas from the diet table.
I strongly advise: cure your chronic disease, if possible. Ulcers and gastritis today can be cured even without antibiotics for a maximum of a month. Get well before your trip. You will be more comfortable to rest.
I wish you a good choice and a pleasant stay

About insurance.
It makes sense to increase only its size from 10 thousand budget to 30,000 USD. at least. Especially if you prefer extreme types of recreation.
We personally observed that all the injured vacationers in the hotel were treated by various insurance companies in Turkey according to the same scheme, sending patients first to the hotel doctor, then to the clinic, and if it doesn’t help, then to the hospital for which you still have funds under your policy. while spending insurance money. And these were tourists from Kazakhstan, and from Russia, and from Turkey, and from Germany, and we are from Ukraine ...

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback! Can the travel agency tell you more specifically about food in hotels? Or they just want to sell vouchers, and then figure it out yourself ..?? Of course I’m being treated, I’m terribly afraid of getting sick in a foreign country and getting into their hospitals .. I’m already slowly leaning towards the idea of going to the Crimea or to our South .. I’ll go to travel agencies the other day, see what they say about hotels.

It is better to rely on the reviews of tourists (fresh, current year) than on the words of a travel agent. Read on specific hotels, ask questions to specific people who wrote these reviews, you will be answered about cereals, and boiled meat and vegetables.
Another tip - do not listen to mulenko78, she breeds these squabbles in all topics about holidays in Turkey. In fact: she was unlucky with the hotel, she was greedy to get a normal insurance, and, in general, the lady is not adequate - either she was beaten in a bar, or some other horrors :)
The medicine is good, ours is far from it, no Crimea was lying nearby. In terms of nutrition - for 15 years of my trips to Turkey, there was not a single poisoning in our family.

It's definitely Myrka741. On the website of the hotel where we were going, baby food was announced, but it was not even mentioned throughout the season, only dietstol. It is unlikely that the travel agency will tell you this, they did not tell us.
Get well soon and do not get sick, especially on vacation :).
If you decide to go to Turkey, then get a Turkish dictionary, there are programs for smartphones on Android. You write the word phone reproduces in Turkish, a convenient thing.
And if you go to us in Crimea, then only to the hotels checked by your friends, since we have liquidated sanitation stations since December 10 last year, until nothing new has been created, there is no control. All sanitary doctors at the labor exchange. Go to trusted hotels that value customers and will not save on tourists.

Since autumn, the sanatoriums have not been funded, they worked at 50 percent, I could not even pass the next child's control tests.
