Who has been to Turkey?
Tell me who rested in Turkey? Is it worth it to fly there? If so, to which resort and the sea? We are thinking of flying with my husband, but we are very afraid of being disappointed in the sea and the air temperature !!!!
We were 4 times in Egypt and realized, of course, that the Crimea and the Black Sea cannot be compared with the Red Sea at all !!! And the temperature of 50 degrees was tolerated very easily !!!!
I will be very grateful for the answers!

It's definitely worth the trip. You just need to carefully choose a hotel based on reviews so that there are no frustrations.

great question. I think that it should be moved to the category - the question of the day!))))

Turkey is a huge country, it has 4 seas, many resorts, gorgeous mountains and forests, with a huge number of ancient cities, on its territory there are cities that made history both in the ancient world and in the Middle Ages (Ephesus, Troy, Constantinople, etc. ) many places protected by UNESCO. Do you think this country is worth visiting?
the best resort for me is the Aegean Sea, the city of Kusadasi. nearby is the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the first 7 wonders - the Temple of Artemis (unfortunately destroyed), you can go to Pammukale, Troy, etc. etc.

if the sea is important, then of course the Aegean.
and I agree with Anetka-gan - really a question of the day)

Turkey is a wonderful country. It is certainly worth visiting. At the same time, there are many regions in Turkey that are completely different from each other. Many historical places, every time you arrive there you will learn something new. Take, at least Cappadocia, you can spend a week on it. And the handsome Istanbul is a song in general. It is also worth devoting more time to it (at least a week, that's for sure, but preferably 2-3 weeks). Ankara - the capital, is also worthy. If you are a mountain skier, be sure to visit Palandoken and Sarikamish.
Well, for a beach holiday in the summer (end of June-July-August) - the Aegean coast. And April-May-the first half of June, as well as September and October - the Mediterranean. In general, an unplowed field.
If you are party lovers, then you are in Marmaris (as an option - Kemer, Alanya). If a more measured rest, then Side, Belek, perhaps. The cheapest resort is Alanya. The Aegean coast (Bodrum, etc.) is more expensive. Kemer - pine trees, mountains and a pebble beach.
Alanya - drier air and sandy beaches. For me, the most beautiful nature is in Kemer and Olu-Deniz.
In general, something like this.
Ride boldly.

Thank you, I read your answers!!!! And then another question arose! We thought to fly to the Aegean Sea, BUT ... how clean and calm is it???? Just red is sooo clean and calm, that is, you swim and get a lot of allowance !!! And most importantly, how warm it is, because I'm a terrible merzlyachka :) and I can sit in red until I get limp :))

The best time is the second half of July - August. The water is 5 degrees colder than in the Mediterranean. Those. if in the Mediterranean +30 water, then in the Aegean +26 +25. The sea is clean. And many hotels there make a platform beach, i.e. descent like in a swimming pool.

yes, if you still stay in Bodrum, check out the Aegean Dream hotel. A hotel for a relaxing holiday. The only thing, since I practically don’t swim in the sea, but mostly in the pool, it was too small for me. I like it better when the hotel has a large pool. And if you are party lovers, then also not to this hotel.

The Aegean is very clean and cool. If it's easy for you at +50 - this is the Mediterranean in July-August. There are no fish in the sea, as in Egypt, the climate is different.
I'm afraid you won't like it at all.

I think that if the main goal of a girl is a beach holiday and a very warm sea, then it is better in Yegi or the Emirates. But if she wants new experiences, to get to know a new country, the cultural heritage is interesting, and finally, the nature there is completely different, then Turkey is a worthwhile place.
Well, if the sea is warmer, then to the Mediterranean Sea.
аватар Anetka-gan
Well, yes, it is cooler in Turkey than in Egypt, if you need heat, then it is in the Emirates, for example, now.
Aegean calm enough, but cool.
аватар jabetta
The Aegean is not so cold (I myself am a merzlyachka, what to look for) - we were there last year in the first half of July, the water was 26-27. As for the fact that if the heat is normally tolerated in Yegi, then it’s better to go to the Mediterranean coast, I can’t agree, because. I also endure the heat in Egypt absolutely calmly, but in Kemer I almost died. It's all about the high humidity in Kemer. Based on all that is written above, I advise you to visit the Aegean Sea.
аватар Kitsune
Jabetta, the Mediterranean is not only Kemer. There is also Anlanya with its dry climate. Although for me, I agree with you, in July-August the Aegean coast, or Istanbul, is better.
аватар jabetta
I understand that Kemer is not the whole of Turkey, it is simply incorrect to talk about comfort on the entire Mediterranean coast. Not everyone is comfortable everywhere, but if a person is traveling for the first time, it is better to give as much information as possible so that a more complete picture is formed, then it will be easier to make the right choice.

Thank you all so much!!! but DAMN lost completely!!! I just didn’t specify that we were going to go by the end of September :) and I’m afraid that it might be cool there (well, for example, at least in the evenings?)
I understood about the seas, about the air temperature too, but almost everyone writes July-August too! but what about September ???? sorry for not specifying right away
аватар sandra-art
at the end of September, you can safely go to Alanya. it will still be hot
аватар yltra
it is very important to choose the right hotel ... I know people who ended up in a bad hotel and now they say that Turkey is bad and they won’t go there again ...
аватар koroshchenko
End of September, still warm, especially in the Mediterranean. I normally rest in October. This period is even more suitable for you, regarding the temperature of the water: 26-28. And also tune in that there is no underwater world like in Egypt. BUT!!! Nature, mountains, relic pines, cypresses, olive trees (Aegean region) are simply amazing. In Egypt, only the sea pleases the eye, and if the windows of the room overlook the desert - darkness. Turkey is a completely different matter.

Thanks again to everyone!!!
аватар Anetka-gan
September is better for the Mediterranean. although I was fine in Aegean, despite the occasional rain.
аватар sent2008
We have been to the Mediterranean many times, this year we went to the Aegean Sea-climate, we liked the region very much. We rested at the Majesty Club Tuana Park 5 * hotel. The hotel made a good impression, only you need to settle exclusively in the club part - the rooms are much better. We plan to rest on the Aegean Sea in the future.
аватар doigor
After Egypt, definitely only the Mediterranean Sea in the Kemer region, there are mountains, and the sea is warmer than in the rest of the seas of Turkey. Just choose a hotel thoroughly so that with its service it can brighten up the difference in the beauties of the Red and Mediterranean Seas ...
аватар Zlata28
because we are talking about the end of September
I would no longer risk going to the Aegean coast.
And to be sure to be warm and comfortable
choose from hotels in Alanya and Side
It's not cold there even in October.
