I contacted the manager who recruits Tez employees for Turkey. He said that they do not become hotel guides immediately, but only for the 2nd or even 3rd season, and even then not all of them. As for knowledge of the language, in Turkey it is still better to know Turkish. Because the Turks are quite cunning people, they can let you sign some paper in Turkish, you will sign it and you won’t know what it is, but it could be a onerous labor contract or worse.
