Recommend a budget hotel for a couple with a flight between 10.08-15.08 for 10 days
My husband and I want to have a rest in Turkey on a budget. Suggestions are making my head spin.
Budget - up to $1,000 for 10 days.
We need a small hotel, in the city, not in the village, because we want to rent a car and take a walk somewhere)
So far, we are more inclined towards Kemer, since we were in Turkler (Alanya) in May.
Where to look, what to take?)))

Olga, good! It is difficult to find something decent for your budget in the high season. If plus 200-300 &, then look in Kemer for the entire Viking network. Nominal 4 city type from the first to the 4th))) lines. Even conditionally 5 * Viking Star - fit in. You can also consider Valeri Beach 3 + *. In Marmaris, look Class 3 *, not fire, but more than a promenade. In Bodrum (Turgutreis - promenade, sunsets!!!) Dragut Point North 3*. There, however, strain with the beach, very small for 2 hotels. Good luck choosing.

selik1954, Viking Hotel 4* maybe? The price is about 26 thousand, I think)
We were in Viking star))) Good, but we want something smaller, after Eftalia Ocean we can’t move away from the number of people
I'll check out the rest of the ones you suggested, thanks!
I understand that the high season, I would have another +200$, but I do not pretend to be something supernatural. Rather, where to spend the night and so that there is something to eat, but we'd better get in the car and watch something else)

Viking Nona 4*. We've been twice, but it's been a long time, and I don't really see any fresh reviews. If you fit - take it! The beach is the size of the hotel, 70% of the rooms - side or direct sea view. In 2015, there were Europeans.

In Kaleichi in Antalya, I recommend taking a hotel, if you don’t like big noisy hotels. All the hotels there are small and cozy, just like living at home with relatives. And around and take a walk, and eat, and rent a car, and rent boats. And there is even a mini-beach in Kaleichi.

Anita Kemer Noch Hotel 4 * ( last year was 3 * ) - in the center of Kemer, just for active travelers like you
10 nights from Kyiv 2 - 690 euros from 1.08.2021
аватар Vika284
In Alanya there is a normal 4 * for food and service Villa Sun Flower Aparts & Suites, although the beach is far away 1 km, the hotel is in the city center
Villa Sun Flower Aparts & Suites - 10 nights from 5.08 - 898 euros
If necessary, I can write the route in the direction of Mersin from Alanya, there is a lot to see

Dragut Point North 3* over budget
here is Bitez Kassandra Hotel 3 * - 854 euros for 10 nights from 7.08 - there it is better to go to a wild beach or to the neighboring beach of Ambrosia
Katre Hotel Oludeniz 3* in Oludeniz 8 nights 823 euros - there is no private beach for Oludeniz, this is normal, 10 minutes walk, minutes to the municipal beach, a very nice green hotel

You have to be more careful with Kaleici. The last time they "hit", you can't say otherwise. We were counting on a small quiet hotel in the Ottoman style, mindful of previous visits, but ended up in a cheap and dirty hangout on the street of bars. Booking rating was 8.7 by the way.
аватар ollennka
Well, there is a hole in any old woman, it's not about Kaleichi himself. I got stuck in Sri Lanka, for example.
аватар Pachok
Not in it. I just clarified that not all hotels there are cozy and in quiet places. You also need to choose carefully and not rely on ratings.
аватар ollennka
What then to rely on? I choose according to reviews, there are still no other options to find out what is there and how. For 10 years, so far it has flown by only once, reviews, apparently, the hotel rolled itself.

What about Fame Hotel 3 or Fame Residence Park 4?
Watching Viking Park Hotel has already become 5? Where is better in Viking or Fam?
аватар selik1954
nadin65. Fame3* use Fame Resid.4* beach. The beach is tented, but small. and, if loading, the crowd.
аватар Olgaolga153
But if only "to spend the night", then you can see the triples. For example, in Kemer Center: Korient
3*, Nar 3*; at worst, Kemer 3*. All hotels are small, quiet, in the city center near the beach. These hotels share a beach.
You can pick up something in Antalya itself. For example, BENNA 2* in Konyaalti. Close to the beach. There are plenty of cafes and markets nearby. You can watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BlRAuwc27A

Ollennka, don't rely on ratings. And carefully read the reviews :) This is not the same thing.
If I had bothered to read who wrote about what, putting ten, I would have chosen another hotel. But it turns out that they were too lazy, one night it was necessary to spend the night somewhere after a late arrival.
аватар ollennka
So the rating is formed according to reviews.

And reviews are written, and ratings are put by people. It is necessary not to look at the rating, but at the review. Because if an Englishman writes "all zashib, excellent booze and funny chicks, you can smoke in the rooms," and puts 10, then this is 10 for him, not for me. For me, it's 2 or 3. We and the Russians are the most demanding in terms of accommodation. Give Europeans cheapness, they easily turn a blind eye to dirt.

"Budget - up to $1,000 for 10 days"
In this budget, you can take absolutely any hotel in the center of Kemer. The advice here is meaningless.
аватар Vika284
I agree that reviews should be read.
There is when they give a rating of 10 to the hotel and a review from one sentence “The animation was super. hello animators"
Or three reviews in a row called "Creative animation" with a rating of 9-10 for the hotel
They put a 2-3 mark on the hotel for the fact that the hotel "refused" to settle for free! with early check-in
In one of the reviews, the rating was lowered and the hotel was put in the minus because the weather was not pleasant
“Unaccustomed, as for Bodrum, heat and stuffiness”
аватар Olgaolga153
And it touches me when they lower the rating for the distance of the hotel from the sea, as if people did not know where they were going in advance or the hotel accidentally moved from the first to the fifth line while they were getting there.

It's so good that those who write custom reviews don't read them for 15 years like we do.
Experienced travelers calculate custom reviews for one or two!))

Hotel Benna 2*, Antalya, Konyalti.
аватар ollennka
Pachok, I still don’t understand why draw a line between reviews and the rating that follows from them. If the reviews are good, then the rating is high. If the hotel is good, then it is about equally good according to the reviews of men and women, regardless of their citizenship. Provided, of course, that the sample is not 10 reviews, but at least 50.
аватар Pachok
Well, don't take it, it will be so.

In early June, I chose a hotel, as always, not by rating, but by reviews. My budget is limited, but the quality of nature, cleanliness, proximity to the city is my priority. Before buying a ticket, I delved into the negative reviews of vacationers, assessing how I would endure this or that shortcoming.
The rating on this site was 5.7 based on 19 reviews, on other sites the rating is slightly higher. The situation is standard for small inexpensive hotels: there are few reviews, vacationers have too high expectations, a couple of unreasonably negative reviews completely "kill" rating.
With difficulty I decided to choose this hotel and never regretted it. Focused on the rating - would have passed by.
(Zeus Turunc Hotel, Turunc, Turkey).

If the hotel is new and the cat has cried reviews, then yes, there may be distortions in the ratings, both up and down. But if there are about a hundred reviews on the hotel, the selection is quite valid so as not to poke around in every review. I usually set the filter from 8, and I don’t consider hotels with only a few reviews at all, so as not to bother. There are a lot of hotels, there are always 3-5 pieces that fully fit into my criteria.
аватар 86jjj
A sample of 100 reviews for a small, albeit built in 1999, hotel? )) Everyone has their own search method, I remain with my own.
аватар ollennka
For 12 years, 100 reviews - is that a lot? You have a different situation, as far as I understand, there was no choice initially. The travel agency gave a couple of hotels that fit into the budget, and then the choice was whether to go or not to go.
I'm talking about the choice when you just open and filter several hundred hotels according to your criteria.
аватар 86jjj
I wrote above that there are not many reviews for small hotels and that in my June there were 19 reviews in total. I had a choice of seven hotels.
I definitely look at the rating first. But I choose based on reviews. looking for reviews everywhere and here incl.
