Expected better

Who does the author recommend the hotel to?: For a relaxing holiday; For families with children
To be honest, looking at the available reviews, it seems that they were posted by PR managers of the TEZ-tour company (the owner of the hotel), and not tourists. It was simply impossible to get such delight in this hotel. And I'm not a picky tourist, and I'm not comparing it with Hayat or Mariot! I hope my opinion (which agreed with the opinion of several other vacationers at the hotel) will be useful for a real and objective assessment when choosing a hotel. Although a lot can change there for the next season.
So.
We rested in Club Saphire 5 * in Tekirova from September 20 to October 1.2008. The hotel was chosen according to the recommendations of the travel agency, and according to the latest reviews of tourists on the Internet. From the information received, we directly tuned in to see Amarovskie "excellent service" and "excellent food. " Alas, we were disappointed.

Maybe, of course, we were just unlucky due to the fact that we went at the end of the season, and even in the month of Ramadan, but the fact is the fact, and I will describe exactly what we saw. There were six of us (me and my wife, two small children, and my parents). In Turkey, not the first time, there was something to compare, so the shortcomings stood out clearly.
BRIEFLY
Advantages:
- Compact green area
- Good animation
- At the reception, gastrations, in restaurants, bars, they understand and speak Russian well
- Permanently packaged juices, 2 times a day ice cream - all for free
- Well located amphitheater
- You can always find free sun loungers both by the sea and by the pool
- Beautiful view of the mountains (especially if the room is in the main building and the windows are on the mountains)

Disadvantages:
- Service at the reception is not above average
- Poor cleaning in the rooms
- No food (they believe that the Slavs only eat mashed potatoes and chicken)
- Old numbers
- Lack of soundproofing of windows and balcony doors
- Live sound (badly placed stage, the same repertoire), little space
- Service (or rather, in most cases - its absence)

As a summary: I would not give this hotel more than 4 *.

And now I'll tell you more. We arrived in Antalya at 8 am. It took 1.5 hours to get to the hotel. As a result, the hotel was at 11 o'clock (specially chose the flight early so as not to lose the day). The guides of the Tez-tour are great. Well quickly met, on the way they told everything that was needed, met at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we asked for two rooms next to each other. We were asked to wait until 13.00. Until that time, we managed to have a bite to eat and explore the territory of the hotel (because it is small). After a sleepless night (and even with children aged 3 and 4), by this time they were tired, and worn out (slippers and shorts were in the suitcase). At one o'clock we came to the reception - we were asked to come at 14.00. Sat in the lobby for another hour - no response. As a result, we received cards from the rooms at 14.30.

We were taken to the rooms, which turned out to be in the 900-annex on the first floor. When the rooms were opened, it turned out that one of them had not even been cleaned after previous vacationers. They did the cleaning for us. Of course, we were ready for old numbers, but we were doubly lucky. We got the only two rooms from the first floors with blinds (others had curtains), and even with broken ones. When they started asking us to change rooms, the reception said that there were no available rooms. When they started to resent, they generally froze, like we don’t understand Russian. In the end, we decided not to spoil our nerves and stayed in the existing rooms.
Room: Double bed, sofa (or two-story children's bed - in the second room), wardrobe, refrigerator, safe, armchair and coffee table, TV (3 Russian channels), carpet on the floor, bathroom (bath, washbasin, toilet) renovated in the 90s, balcony (plastic chairs and table).
The rooms are of course old, but you can survive. There is no soundproofing of the balcony door - this especially affects those living in 700-900 annexes when live music is played in the evening. Individual air conditioners in each room (in annex buildings).
In the first two days there was no hot water (something was being repaired in the boiler room). Moreover, at the reception they were constantly surprised at the questions why she was not there, they called somewhere, and assured that in 30 minutes there would be water. And so 2 days.
The biggest disappointment was the cleaning of the rooms. And at least leave a couple of dollars, at least not. The floors were never washed (the maximum was to wipe especially dirty places with a cloth). The bed was changed only when we called the room service and demanded to be changed, and so they only refueled. With towels - in general, a complete n ...If you do not throw them into the bathroom, then they are traditionally not changed at all.
But we threw every 2-3 days into the bathroom, and in the end ...We go into the room, and the cleaning lady threw all the towels from the bathroom onto the floor, and folds them one by one and puts them on the shelf. As soon as she saw us, she immediately took them all and took them away, and then brought new ones. Here is Amarovsky service for you!

The territory is small, but compact and well-groomed. On the territory there is the main building, 4 annex-buildings, a mini-club, a swimming pool (divided into children and adults), an amphitheater, a Turkish a la carte restaurant, an Italian a la carte restaurant, a tent where they make Turkish cakes, disco, 2 hard surface tennis courts, basketball court.

Restaurants: Amara (main, in the main building), Turkish and Italian. Bars - in the main building on the 2nd floor, near the pool and a "tea" bar. In bars and a tent with Turkish cakes, you can always drink a fermented milk drink - ayran.
The hotel is located on the 1st line, between the Rixos Tekirova and Pirates Beach Club hotels. Private beach with 2 piers.
Free sun loungers and mattresses on the beach can always be found. But since there were 6 of us, in order to have places nearby, we had to take them either at 7 in the morning, or then pull the sun loungers from different sides of the beach. The beach is sandy and pebbly, the entrance to the sea is pebbly (the pebbles are both small and quite large. You won’t go into the sea with a wave). There are no special frills on the beach. For drinks you have to go to the pool bar (nearby). You can go for a walk along the beaches of neighboring hotels - there are beautiful places for photos. Rixos beach has an artificial waterfall.
The pool is quite small. Depth from 1.5 to 2 meters. In the nursery, about half a meter.
There is an indoor swimming pool near the spa. There is also a gym (not very good, I never saw anyone there).
The second reason we didn't like the hotel was the food. It seems that they believe that the favorite dish of Russians and Ukrainians (of which there were 99% at the beginning) is chicken and mashed potatoes.
And every day and three times a day! Lamb, lamb, veal (what you wanted) - this phenomenon was observed no more than 2 times in 2 weeks. Seafood was: squid, octopus - four times, fried fish - all the time (sometimes - small trout). The first courses were unattractive and did not bring much pleasure from their consumption. On the second - the same thing, not particularly attractive. Sweets selection is also poor. From fruits - only apples, grapes, plums, oranges, watermelons and melons. Turkish-made alcohol, but in bars constantly from 10 am until closing (at disco - until 02:00 and for free).

Yes, the hotel also stood out negatively - during my stay at the hotel I had an anniversary (30 years). Wherever I have been before, the hotel gave a cake for lunch or dinner, congratulated, brought wine, fruit, etc. to the room. In this hotel, the maximum that I received was a note at the door “happy birthday”. This is certainly not critical, but the hotel is a minus!
The animators worked well: games in the pool, aerobics, water aerobics, step aerobics, darts, archery, ping-pong, volleyball on the beach, evening shows, miniclub, children's discos. Young, cheerful guys and girls try to please everyone. A couple of times a week they took those who wished to a night disco in Kemer. Archery obviously lacked a second bow (the hotel did not buy) - there were many people who wanted to, and only 30 minutes were allotted.
There are several hammocks on the territory (it's good to lie in the shade).
To the center of the village of Tekirova, walk not far (15-20 minutes) past the orange grove. There are many shops in the village - you can buy inexpensive souvenirs, textiles (towels, bathrobes, bedding, etc. ), leather, excursions (much cheaper than in a hotel). Everyone speaks excellent Russian. Some even trade for rubles and hryvnias.
It could be a long story, but I don't think it's necessary. If anyone has questions, I'm ready to answer.
Therefore, I will finish with this conclusion: A small compact hotel for families. Without special impressions and desire to return there again.
