We bought a ticket to Kemer Turkey Hotel Millennium Place, read the reviews, one negative, it was scary to go, the desire was gone. Is it really that bad?

Ask your travel agent if it is possible to make a change of hotel at the TO for the same dates without penalty
Or, judging by the fact that your travel agent suggested this hotel, then call the TO yourself and find out if it is possible to change the hotel without changing the flight date

My wife's friend was in this hotel last year (she was in Turkey for the first time), before that she only went to Zatoka. So, she liked it. Although the hotel is unimportant!

valena525252. Even if they fed oysters and foie gras there ... The hotel is behind (behind, Karl!) Antalya-Kemer highway, on the outskirts of Beldibi. Millennium Palace!!!

For comparison, consider a tour for 7 nights from June 24 for 2
solid good 3 * on the first line of Valeri Beach Hotel - 982 euros
very modest budget 5 *, the second line across the road from L'Oceanica Beach - 1135 euros
Kemer Millennium Resort €720

How did you manage to get into this cesspool? Go to TA, if it was they who made you a "surprise" and change to another. But before agreeing to rebook, read the reviews. Or look for a more worthy hotel yourself, and then rebook already.

But there is a mosque nearby, there is an underground passage, the hotel is located in Turkey. You also need to look for the positives. Nearby is a car wash and tire service - cheaper than in Kyiv - washed the car there, pumped up the wheels, thirty minutes to the center of Antalya (to the beach longer). Not everything is so bad, but you don’t need to go there, except with a surcharge for you.

I advise you to change the hotel before departure, otherwise it will be more expensive to change when you arrive (the amounts can reach from half to the full cost of the tour), and you will also have to stand in line for those who want to change the hotel, and it’s not a fact that after an additional payment they will settle in a better hotel.
My opinion is the hotel is "sucks", one of the worst I've been in, you can read my review, although I have it more or less sparing, compared to others in which "guard-everything is gone", but I was there alone and for the most part spent holidays moving along the coast, and spent the night at the hotel, if I flew with my family and spent 90% of the time at the hotel and its beach, I probably also "spit" in the reviews.
Threat If the agent offered such a hotel, I advise you to change it to another, otherwise the next time it will be sent to a place even worse.

And why do you doubt all the reviews, but agree to believe if here people unknown to you say *no, it's not so bad*. Do you trust us more than all those who wrote reviews?

it all depends on many factors!
the first time you go abroad and specifically to Turkey
where have you rested before?
and of course the budget!
my aunt flew for the first time last year, in 3ku, on the "25 line" without its own beach, and even not on all
the price was something around $280 for 10 days;)))
So, I was sure that everything, the person’s vacation was ruined, but it turned out not! Everything is great, everything is great. This year he is also going to some kind of mega budget city hotel;)
You just don’t set yourself up correctly anymore, you are already sure that it will be bad!
If it is not possible to change the hotel, just filter the negative aspects of the hotel by reviews and be prepared for them...

although reviews, one another is "better"
but why did you read the reviews after paying for the tour?)
advice in a very extreme case, monitor any rental or booking site, find a decent 3k-4k near your hotel, even further from the sea, you have paid for the flight and book with the possibility of cancellation, a couple of days later than your arrival date. If it is very tight, there will be somewhere to move, and on the day of departure, just come to the reception at the hotel for a transfer.

Where you are going, there is one huge plus, and it is called Turkey. Use the hotel as a place to stay and eat (if included), pay attention to the country (Antalya, Tahtali, Olympos and Yanartas, Kursunlu - nearby, Pamukkale, Demre - away). I'm ready to go to Turkey anywhere and anytime, it doesn't go bad there!

Igor_m, I'm sorry, but do you rent a car there? And how are Turkish roads when self-driving? And then the husband is afraid of renting a car there, or is he afraid in vain? And then by public transport in many places simply can not be reached. Thanks for the answer! (sorry for bumping into someone else's thread :)

olyajan, we drive ours from Kyiv, so we never rented it in Turkey. Your husband is afraid in vain, the roads are chic, now from Two Pillars near Odessa to Antalya itself. If you have your own - full speed ahead!

The hotel, to put it mildly, is not very good, but if this is your first time in Turkey and you are not going to sit in a hotel, then everything is not so scary)
