What shoes are better to wear for a tour in Pamukkale, Cappadocia?
Will open sandals work or do you need sneakers? I'm going in a week. And the second question, who spent the night there in hotels on two-day excursions? what are they? Is it worth taking an excursion to Pamukkale for two days or is one enough?

shoes - take what you want. The main thing is that the feet do not freeze. Only barefoot is allowed on the travertines :)
on a two-day trip - the road from Kemer is long, the two-day trip is good because you will not get so tired.

Definitely worth it. If you decide to go to Cappadocia, take warm clothes. Better sneakers, climb more comfortable. It is cold in the mountains in the evening and early in the morning. We really liked it there. But the road is long, but interesting. Beautiful landscapes. If you go to Pammukale for two days, and you are lucky and your hotel is not far from the travertines, be sure to go to the lake at the foot of the travertines in the evening, the view is amazing. Annette gave the right advice.

sneakers. take more slates in Pamukkale. Regarding the 2-day excursion, in this case it is better to go to Pamukkale-Ephesus.

experienced tourists take a good cognac with them ... and this will be the final touch after comfortable shoes.

IMHO, sneakers are the most comfortable
and it won’t be hot in them anymore (it’s not summer, after all)

The most normal choice: a 2-day excursion! If you take a tour from a guide, they usually offer a good level hotel, but at the same time the tour costs a lot more. On the street, the cost of the tour will be 2-3 times cheaper, respectively, and the hotel is more modest (I don’t think this is important for 1 night!) We stayed in a modest 3 * hotel, the room has all the amenities, the hotel has 2 pools: a regular outdoor and thermal closed, dinner was much more modest than in our hotel in Side, breakfast too, but no one left hungry! The road to Pamukkale is 5 hours one way, while tourists will be taken to the shopping center, a tasting room and a carpet factory, they will take them to the travertines themselves a minimum of time, and even Hieropolis (an ancient city located at the foot) and do not look at all. It's up to you what to choose. Ubuv any, if only comfortable! a small towel to dry your feet later (because you walk barefoot on travertines)

comfortable, so as not to rub my feet, I would refuse slates, shoes and sandals with heels)))

Thanks to everyone who answered - I still went in sandals, there was a suspicion that it would rain, but I didn’t feel like walking in wet sneakers at all - it didn’t really rain)) By the way, there was no suitable excursion to Cappadocia and I risked rushing there myself at night on a regular bus from Antalya - it was very informative, it would have been necessary to spend the night there, because in Cappadocia itself they sell several different excursions for the whole day (they are all in English) - to see everything there, you probably need three days - a super place!

What a great guy you are. The place is really super. We were two days with an overnight stay at the hotel. There wasn't enough time. Everything is very fast. Darling took longer. But still, the impressions were very cool and the photos too.
