The long-awaited holiday has come - vacation.

Four days is, of course, not seven nights, but still...

Based on the fact that there are only four days off (August 24 - 28), so we decided to go where we know: Turkey, Kemer, Idyros Hotel (Kemer) and set the task: < strong>SHOPPING, MORING and pure HOLIDAY (without excursions).

Departure in the morning from Odessa, flight to Anatalya takes about 1.5 hours and taking into account the tasks (see above), therefore we chose the premium tour (business class): there is absolutely no time for REST not enough, so we decided not to bother and have a rest right away.

DUTY FREE (Odessa) - there are good things (I'm talking about drinks), for example, for 1 (one) liter of Martini only 6 EUR and there is, for example, a small bottle of wine for 2 EUR, here, ATTENTION - take only ROSE wine , because they took RED - fu, sour meat with bitterness and there is still, for example, whiskey 1 (one) liter for about 14 EURO, so there is plenty to choose from.

In the flight, they fed quite well, to tell the truth, something like watching TV programs about harmful fast food, the portion sizes increase all the time, and when you fly by plane, every time the size of a box with delicious food all the time less and less…

Well, come on!

So, Antalya Airport - everything is unchanged, friendly staff, quick baggage claim, at the exit a meeting of all tour operators and right there, next to it, parking for buses and for our hotel limousine (business class after all, klaassss).

DUTY FREE (Antalya) - the prices for alcohol are MUCH higher than at home, but at the same time LOWER than in stores in Turkey, so if you are NOT planning to drink free wine or beer at the Hotel, but at home you FORGOT to take strong drinks - the last place where to buy and NOT overpay YET more expensive is here at the Airport.

By the way, upon arrival in Turkey, you immediately feel the temperature difference, although it was not cold in Odessa either (more than plus 30, or even more), but in Turkey it is much warmer, therefore, it is possible for such short trips for 3 -4 days, it's probably better to choose not the end of August (in the very heat), but the end of September - October: we talked about this with the locals - they confirmed: it's not hot anymore, but the water in the sea is still VERY warm (up to 25 degrees) .

So I'm writing this Review now and I'm thinking: October, the velvet season, where can I get grannies...

OVERALL RATING OF MEETING AT THE AIRPORT: 5 (EXCELLENT).

NOTE - the exchange rate of the dollar to the Turkish lira (when we were there) was 3.45-3.50 Turkish lira to one US dollar, and at the Airport the only working exchanger offered a rate much lower than 3.0 and change at least 50 dollars for times, so BE CAREFUL - it is better to change it upon arrival at the Hotel in banks or at ATMs (ATMs), and you will need a small supply of lira.

In general, the TIP is to change some money on the first day and buy Turkish liras (it's much cheaper to travel by transport). Again, it is better to pay for the entrance to the reserves / pools / museums with lira. Sometimes they write that only lira is accepted. Therefore, saving 1-2 dollars here and there can be a TOTAL 5-10 dollars - it will be for souvenirs.

OVERALL RATING OF THE EXCHANGER AT THE AIRPORT: 0 (VERY BAD) - this is not an exchangeEnick, but some kind of exchangeAnick.

The road from the Airport to the Hotel will take about an hour (maybe a little more), but it is completely unnoticeable: the road surface is very good, well, the view of the sea (on the one hand) and the mountains (on the other) distracts attention, and the vacation has begun then already, so hold on Kemer - let's go!

HOTEL -Idyros Hotel (Kemer)located in the very center of Kemer city: 2 (two) blocks from the White Tower, on the other side, exit to the parking lot and the Central pedestrian street Liman Jadesi with all the shops and the resulting consequences (shopping).

Along the Central Liman Jadesi Street (5-10 minutes) through the park there will be a good Beach (Pebbles).

The hotel has a regular rectangular shape, near the reception there is a staircase to the second floor of the building (overlooking the courtyard and the park), inside the Hotel there is an outdoor dining room in the fresh air, right there (in the courtyard) is the entrance to the second building (with a view from rooms in the courtyard and on the road) and inside the Hotel there are 2 (two) swimming pools.

From the reception side (if you stand with your back to the Hotel and look at the parking lot), then on the right side is the Carrefour Supermarket (15 meters from the entrance to the Hotel).

There is another Grocery Store right next to the reception (to the left of the entrance to the Hotel - 3 meters).

OVERALL RATING OF THE HOTEL ACCOMMODATION: 4+ (very GOOD) or maybe even 5- (almost EXCELLENT).

TIP on choosing ROOMS - immediately check that the view from the window is NOT on the roadway - do not get enough sleep, we knew this and immediately demanded Rooms with a view only to the Pool (to the courtyard). And yet, after the settlement, the managers DO NOT want to change the Numbers to others, so choose the Number the first time.

The hotel requires additional maintenance, the renovation was done a long time ago - it's time to "renew the wardrobe", the same applies to the interior decoration of the Rooms, as well as the operation of air conditioners and so on. So, when you settle in, at first it will seem that there are a little less stars than stated (4 stars), but on the first day - we give a guarantee that everything will suit you 100%.

ROOMS - we got a room with a view of the park (but we didn’t sleep very well anyway: the evening before falling at the disco and shopping, and in the early morning at the sea, and then dinner and shops again - see above our tasks on this weekend).

SEPARATELY, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that REGARDLESS of which Rooms you get (with a view of the courtyard or the street) EVERYWHERE you will VERY well hear prayers from the nearest mosque (beginning at about half past five in the morning).

The decoration of the room is tolerable, the air conditioner was used (it freezes well, even turned off at night), there is hot water, soap (namely soap, not shampoo and soap) is also there, towels are clean, bedding is almost new and smells of lavender.

TIP - as there is marble on the floor in the Bathroom / Toilet - put a towel under your feet, because it is VERY slippery.

CLEANING takes place at will, but, this time, for some reason, they didn’t clean it every day, although we asked to be cleaned and left a dollar, but they clean the cord - they don’t just wipe the dust, but wash the floors and puff with something else tasty - okay.

OVERALL CLEANING RATING: 5- (almost EXCELLENT).

IMPORTANT - there are NO balconies in the rooms. Absolutely not. There is simply nowhere to dry towels after the beach and swimwear. This time we were given a dryer, probably they have a VIP Room - with a dryer, but the dryer is somehow not very (rusty), although you can not try to dry it - the humidity of the air is such that nothing dries.

OVERALL RATE OF THE ROOM: 4- (almost GOOD).

FOOD - Fed perfectly:

- breakfasts (boiled eggs, three or five types of greens, pasta, olives (6 types), cheeses, boiled sausages, cereals, some kind of kefir, but not kefir, cookies and something else)

- lunches and dinners (soups (it was from mushrooms and tomato, moreover, they ate tastier than mushrooms only from seafood in Egypt), fried cutlets plus everything that was at breakfast plus new cheeses and salads plus grilled baked vegetables (peppers and tomatoes) and they also gave sweets (charlotte and chocolate muffins))

- afternoon snack (FRAUD: they give only coffee and cookies, not even cookies, but some kind of cookies or cookies)

This time there were a lot of tourists and a queue formed, not exactly a QUEUE, but there was a queue for food, although we had enough of everything.

From drinks - Beer and Wine: EVERYTHING ON DRAW, NO restrictions, but if you want to take, for example, a bottle of Beer with you to the Beach, they say pay $4. Well, at the reception of the Hotel there is a small bar with wine, the prices are moderate: 25 liras (or $ 7-8 per bottle) - this is about the price as in stores.

FOOD: 5 (EXCELLENT).

DINING ROOM and POOLS - located inside the courtyard of the Hotel. Everything is green, lemons grow and a great view of the shutters of the Hotel rooms opens up - it's simply mesmerizing... Turkey!

POOL (small) - 2 by 3 meters deep 30 centimeters

POOL (main) - the correct rectangular shape, clean, the water is not cold, there are a lot of sunbeds around the perimeter, and in the shade of a ficus, a couple of sheds like tea houses with low sunbeds and a table. Again, everything around is green and there is enough light and there is an opportunity to hide in the shade. Near the pool there is a shower. There is also a toilet on the ground floor near the reception. In general, cool!

The only negative is that when there are many tourists in the Hotel, there are not enough tables and dishes for everyone: for example, we were waiting...

It's the same when there are a lot of tourists - there are no places near the Pool. . .

(NOTE: but we don’t know how it will be with the occupancy of the Hotel in the velvet season (September-October) and, of course, with access to the Food and the Pool)

ANIMATION (ENTERTAINMENT) in the Hotel - no... We have NOT seen or heard.

OVERALL RATING OF THE DINING ROOM AND POOLS: 5 (EXCELLENT) or 5- (almost EXCELLENT).

SILENCE and VOLUME in the Hotel: if you take the Rooms from the side of the street, then it is NOISY at night, if you take the Rooms in the Courtyard of the Hotel or on the package in front of the Hotel, then it is almost QUIET, the music during the day in the Hotel plays NOT very loud, in the evening - A LOT thunder, but NOT annoying, Pools at night (somewhere from 11 pm) close, drunk people to swim (including jumping from the roof of the Hotel), we did NOT see mosquitoes buzzing all night long, although in front of us, two weeks earlier, but in another Hotel, our friends were tormented, so the TIP is to take mosquito repellent after all. In general, the Silence and Loudness in the Hotel as a whole is CALM.

TOTAL RATING OF THE HOTEL: 4 (GOOD), and given that we got to the end of the season and there were a SEA of tourists (both in the Hotel and on the Sea), it could be 4- (almost GOOD), but given the absence repair and animation, as well as the lack of staff in the Hotel (in the evening / at night there is a guy who does not understand a single word in either English or Russian), then maybe even 3+ (better than SATISFACTORY).

BEACH - there are 2 (two) options:

The first one is free of charge (from the Hotel along the Central Liman Jadesi Street towards the Sea with legs for 10 minutes) - there will be a Beach / Beaches (PEBLE) and you can also take a sunbed / deck chair for $ 1 per day. It is better to TAKE a sunbed / deck chair, because no towels help on this PEBBLE - there will be bruises (large PEBBLE).

There is another small PLUS here - you go to the Beach through the Park and there is McDonalds right there, and to the right of the Beach there is Port (Marina) and very nice cafes.

Second - at the Hotel reception, order for $3 (per day) trips to the paid beach (SAND) and 3 (three) transfers during the day (bring and drop directly from the Hotel to the Beach and from the Beach back to the Hotel). But there is one small MINUS - time transfers, they DO NOT want to carry them separately (ONLY for an additional fee). However, there are also ADVANTAGES: well, firstly, it is Sand, secondly, you are immediately given places either on sun loungers (free of charge) or in VIP places in the gazebo (these places can be purchased separately) and there are also animators: boating , bananas and so on and you can still buy Excursions.

Drinks on the Beaches (both paid and free) are a little expensive, while on the paid Beach it is even more expensive, for example, beer on the free Beach costs from $4 per bottle (minimum), and on the paid Beach - $10, juice costs about the same, but on a paid one - about $ 8 and signs everywhere (and in Russian): IT IS FORBIDDEN TO TAKE YOUR OWN DRINKS , but who will obey them...

Another TIP - immediately upon arrival, buy (if necessary) slippers to the Beach (if you go to PEBLES), they cost $3, they are sold almost everywhere, but they are quickly taken apart and almost nowhere to be found.

ANIMATION (ENTERTAINMENT) on the Beaches - practically NO:

- on the free Beach there is KARAOKE (some kind of horror)

- Banana Catamaran is worth noting on the paid Beach: the cost is $10 per person, it is not just a banana, but a type of catamran, it consists of two bananas and is very stable, EVERYONE is wearing life jackets and there will be 2 (two) managers: a boat that drags a banana-catamaran, and a Photographer, the trip is very fun (we used to be), two swims and the MOST important thing are brought near the WHITE SANDY beach of the ancient city of FAZELIS and along the way they are allowed to swim in the CAVE, but they are NOT allowed to go to the WHITE SANDY BEACH, but you can still enjoy the beauty of the white sand from the sea and the greenery of the pines growing right on the bare rocks around. When returning back to the Beach, the Photographer will try to sell the photos for the price - ATTENTION - 5 (five) EURO per one.

OVERALL EVALUATION of the BANANA-CATAMARAN excursion: 5 (EXCELLENT).

In the end, we didn't bother and went to the free Beach.

And, probably, also because you go both to the free Beach and back along Central Street - and there are only shops there, and our task is to relax - REST, MOREING and SHOPPING! ! !

TOTAL SCORE OF THE BEACHES: 5 (EXCELLENT), and the view, both on the Sea and on the Mountains, is the same everywhere, both on paid and free Beaches.

General advice from us:

- if the rest is 6-7 days or more - pay $ 2-3 and let them take you to the paid Beach

- if the rest is 3-4 days (like ours) - GO to the free Beach and everything will be OK too.

And on the way to the free Beach, you can buy Turkish ice cream Dondurma every time for $1.

HISTORICAL SUMMARY: Dondurma Turkish ice cream is thick and does not melt for a long time. It is kneaded from goat's milk and the powder of dried orchid tubers. The homeland of the dessert is the southeastern part of Turkey, where these orchids grow. Dondurma ice cream was made back in the days of the Ottoman Empire, the sultans believed that orchids increase male strength and the dessert is still sold from wooden barrels on the street. The ice cream maker is forced to constantly knead the ice cream so that it does not thicken. In a barrel, as a rule, there are dozens of servings of Dondurma, so only a strong man can cope with the dessert.

Serving ice cream is accompanied by almost tricks - this is a whole ritual that, if the ice cream man is in a good mood, can last quite a long time. When buying ice cream, the ice cream man played a prank on us - giving ice cream, he returned the cone with the ball to himself, and we had an empty cone in our hands! Moreover, more than we laughed at the ice cream man himself!

Further, since we had only 3 (three) days to rest, we decided NOT to take excursions, BUT go to Hamam.

Immediate ADVICE from us - look for a representative office of the GINZA excursion company - everything is cheaper for them: we left the Hotel on the Central Liman Jadesi Street and went in the opposite direction from the Sea, that is, towards the White Tower, on the last block, not reaching the White Towers, on the right side - the GINZA department (large yellow sign, black letters).

Hamam (Turkish bath) - minimum cost $10 per person.

We recommend that EVERYONE go on the very FIRST day of the holiday after lunch to get a gorgeous tan.

We, like all normal people, knew that we had to go exactly on the FIRST day of the vacation, so, naturally, we went on the penultimate day. . .

Therefore, after we AGAIN saw how our tan was washed off with impunity and also for our money, now we recommend EVERYONE to go on the very FIRST day of vacation!

HISTORICAL SUMMARY: The name "Hamam" comes from the Arabic word "xam" - "hot". Hamam is an integral part of the culture of Turkey, and the traditions of the Turkish bath are rooted in the mists of time. Hamam will bring you cleansing, healing and even some rejuvenation of the body, relieve accumulated fatigue, activate vitality and become an unforgettable experiment.

Departure every hour. Pick up directly from the Hotel. We, of course, did not leave the Hotel and were not picked up, so we went to GINZA on foot (5 minutes) and they took us from here (without any additional payments). The total duration is about 2 hours. There are three types of programs, and for separate money, Thai massage and face masks were added to the Hamam.

Standard program (two hours):

- no time limit - sauna (dry)

- no time limit - hot sauna (hot steam)

- no time limit - cold shower

- maximum 30 minutes - swimming pool

- maximum 20-30 minutes - Hamam

- maximum 20 minutes – aroma massage

Before the start of the procedures, everyone will be seated at the Hammam reception - they will check the payment and tell you about the procedures, so that, if you decide, you can order more additional services for yourself for extra money (such as a cleansing face mask, and so on), they will immediately ask is there a need for masseurs only for women for women, but there are few of them (masseuses), and in Hamam itself there is only one bath attendant, so you will have to wait for her if you refuse the bath attendant and demand only a bath attendant.

IMPORTANT: during the massage, an interpreter will come to your closet and according to the words of the massage therapist (by the way, who (s) speaks VERY well in Russian, and some in Ukrainian, because they (masseurs / masseuses) almost all from Russia, Ukraine or Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan) you will be offered additional services, because the massage therapist (ka) found out (a) you have SUCH PROBLEMS that can be corrected, but ONLY HERE and ONLY for some money - stupid DIVORCE, so that DO NOT be fooled: there are cases when people went to Hammam for $10 and left $200 each…

But we were immediately asked at the entrance if we had been here before, we said yes - two months ago and we were NOT molested at all.

By the way, after the end of the procedures, you will be offered FREE tea and a place to relax while your bus is getting ready to go back.
