We were in Medera together: I was with my 13-year-old daughter in June 2009. Of course, it is too hot in Turkey in summer. March-June is the best time.

The hotel is excellent, excellent value for money. We also got a promotion from Coral (operator Coral travel) - the price is like three stars.

The hotel is always clean and beautiful. Nothing to complain about. In the "dining room" food is a solid five: a large selection from mashed potatoes to Turkish exotics. But we did not overeat, but tried a little bit of everything. Chefs cook everything right in front of the tourists. Again, everything is sterile and clean. The dishes have signs with the name of this or that dish, in Russian too. White and red wine, juices, tea, coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate can be collected from vending machines on your own, or you can order from waiters who are always interested in: "What will you drink? "

About the service: cleaners in Russian, no, no, but we met a cleaner once. They told her "khair" - no in Turkish, she left.
But as soon as she saw that we had left the room, she ran to get out, otherwise she would come back and be driven out again. There is a sign in the bathroom, which says that in order for you to change your towel, you need to throw it on the floor, and in order to clean up, you need to hang a sign on the door. Nothing like this. And without any bells and whistles, we changed the bed every day, vacuumed, washed the bathroom and changed the towels for new ones.

Private beach, a block away. We found it ourselves, we didn't take buses. The beach is sandy, at the entrance to the sea there are pebbles about a meter.

On the beach, a special worker brings trestle beds and mattresses. Towels are issued at the reception for a deposit of five dollars, but we took our own. The bathroom has two tubes of shampoo and two shower gels, two bars of soap. We took our own, so we took all this away as souvenirs - all in Meder's branded packaging.

The animation started at 21.30. To be honest, there were vulgar scenes like farted, burped, or two swoops, three stomps.
But some were not vulgar, and really funny. I still advise you to go to animation. And the animation team is all very charming and pleasant. Everyone speaks first in English, then repeats in Russian and German. In the team, Boris is a Turk himself, speaks excellent Russian, also English, German, French, Georgian, even Ukrainian. Two more Russian girls - Anya and Yulia and one German Katya. Thank them very much. The coolest show they have on Sundays is a show with lights (like a yogi in a circus). But the animation is repeated every week, so those who travel for 10 days are out of luck =)

By the way, the air conditioner works great. Just at the door there is a container where you need to insert the card (the key to the door). And the balcony at the same time you need to close the balcony and adjust the air conditioning (a contraption hangs on the wall near the bed). The room number on the card should be facing you and in the lower left corner. Then everything works.

Schedule:
Breakfast 07.30 - 10.00
Second breakfast 10.00 - 11.00 (only buns, cheese and cheese. It is better to go for breakfast)
Cold sandwiches on the beach - from 11.00 and as they sort it out. But those who do not go for lunch, but stay on the beach, take it apart in two hours.
Lunch - 12.30 - 14.00 (there is always soup. "Milk" - very tasty! )
Snack bar at the exit to the pool on the minus ground floor - 12.00 - 16.00 (only buns and hot drinks)
Ice cream at the snack bar - 15.00 - 16.00
Afternoon snack - 16.00 - 17.00 (but for some reason we were sent to a snack bar)
Dinner - 19.00 - 21.00
And around midnight they gave out night soups to those who cannot adapt to the jump to another time zone.

The only thing I didn't like was the free tour. Do not under any circumstances agree to it. We were tormented for two hours in each shopping center with wild prices. There, the Turks attached themselves to us and tried to sell us something. Then we were taken to the zoo for an hour, where we walked for 20 minutes. I counted nine types of ducks and two dying cougars.
On excursions that include shopping centers or a zoo, do not agree even for free.

In general, excursions on the street are twice cheaper - and this is if you do not bargain. They say you can get on the same bus at different prices. But we were in Turkey for the first time and decided to still take the hotel.

Demre - Mirra - Kekovo is our excursion. Sea of impressions. We saw the ruins of a church in the homeland of St. Nicholas, where his relics were kept until the last century, the ancient Roman rock city of Mirra and a huge amphitheater, then we sailed on a yacht to the island of Kekovo, where the Lydians lived. Then we swam in the bay directly from the yacht. everyone who wished was given "pasta" so as not to drown if you could not swim. =)

We never knew that we love the old days so much. Who can withstand four hours of the road - we recommend going to Pamukkale, we did not dare, but our friends had a great time there.
Do not forget to bargain with the Turks always and everywhere, because they always say prices are much higher than the one they are going to sell for. We bought a sundress for which we wanted $ 130 for only 50.
