theme nights
Good afternoon! We are planning to visit your hotel in early June, we choose the date. I would like to know what day of the week - which theme night? I would like to catch the sea during the holidays 2 times. Husband loves seafood :-)
Best regards Elena, Nizhny Novgorod

This question should be addressed not to the forum, but to the hotel's website.

In a 4 * hotel you will never have seafood, do not even dream of it, only in 5 "ultra".
аватар Pachok
+1. Maximum - the fish will be fried and grilled. Maybe they will sprinkle some salad with thawed Atlantic shrimp, but not thickly :)
аватар C4ACTbE
On a sea day, we were served (except for the usual fried and grilled fish, salads with seafood) mussels fried in batter and tuna baked in dough, everything is very tasty !!!
On which day of the week "fish day" I will not tell you, but in the two weeks of our stay there it was 2 times for sure))))))))
At the same time, they were hardly frozen seafood, because fish and shrimp and so on are sold on their market for mere pennies, ice cream is hardly cheaper, then what's the point?))))))))
аватар Pachok
Fish is fish, not seafood. It is already usually on the Swedish table in normal hotels.
There is no fishing for shrimp on this coast, they are imported (frozen). Neither fish nor shrimp are sold in their markets for mere pennies, no need to fantasize.
And with what other seafood were the salads? Not two shrimp, three squid rings (also defrosted) with a lot of nonsense? Maybe there were scallops or lobsters?
аватар larissonn
Turkey is not a country where expanse for seafood lovers. This is for you in Thailand or Vietnam. And in the market, I have never seen shrimp for mere pennies.
аватар C4ACTbE
Yes, everything is fresh in Moscow restaurants, but frozen on the Mediterranean coast)))))
Why are you rushing to Turkey then? No scallops or lobsters? (sorry for being rude))))))))))
аватар larissonn
Freshest is when caught and immediately on the table. Did the fishing for shrimp and other seafood begin in the Moscow River? I didn’t know. But I wrote so that people who came to a budget hotel would not have vain hopes and then in the reviews they wouldn’t write that the food was bad and “there was never even seafood”

Well, here's a link, for those who are interested))))

I don't apologize for being rude. We don't "come" to Turkey, we go there to rest. Do you only "rush" to other countries for seafood?
According to your reference - fish. And that's it. Frozen shrimp, as I wrote, are "royal" (although they are not in the photo at all), most likely Asian, grown on fertilizers in the fields of Thailand and Vietnam. And there is no need to teach scientists here, we have been going to Turkey for 15 years in a row, there are no local normal seafood there. There is fish, about which it was written right away. so for delicious fish, you also have to go not to the hotels of the Mediterranean coast, to the restaurants of Ulupinara. Well, or already in Istanbul.
Z.Y. "Mere pennies" is, as it turns out, 30 lira (read - dollars) for sea bass and 40 lira for imported shrimp. There are no words.

I don’t know much about Turkey, but in most European maritime countries, where fishing is an occupation of a large part of the local population, finding local fresh fish or seafood is a real quest!
In Croatia, fresh local fish is when you choose for yourself still alive and cook it for you - it costs a couple of orders of magnitude more than with a regular order. Restaurants where you can eat fresh seafood should be looked for in advance, as often in tourist places everything is on stream and the owners often save money. The same applies to cities beaten by tourists in Montenegro, Greece, Italy ...
We are all rarely big experts in catering and are unlikely to recognize a fraud, but there are two reliable options !!!
The first (so not loved by many, but the most reliable) is to go early in the morning to the fish market, and they are in all cities by the sea. Even on the Cote d'Azur of France))) and buy everything there, and cook either on your own, or ask the owners, if appropriate (boarding houses and small hotels with their own kitchen always respond to the request).
The second one is more real. Choose good restaurants in advance according to reviews (for example, triadvisor) and eat there. Preferably, restaurants that are visited by locals, not designed for tourists.
аватар Pachok
I agree with hatinka,
And on the Anatolian coast of Turkey, moreover, there is no fishing at all. Such a bazaar, which is in the photo in the article, can be easily seen in Kyiv, and with the same assortment - almost everything is defrosted or "farm". And the sellers, who are more insolent, will sing the same song - about "just caught zander" and "today salmon delivered by plane from Norway."
In Ulupinar, there is a river with backwaters where the local "trout" is bred, there are restaurants of different price categories above the water. This is where the fish will be fresh. You can order crabs with lobsters there, but it will be the same as ordering at home - imported.

To build yourself an "expert" in budget hotels, you need at least to visit this hotel. If you visited the Garden Resort, you would understand that the food here is at the level of 5 * hotels.
And do not write more nonsense about how the amount of seafood depends on the number of stars of the hotel.
Pachok!
Visit Garden Resort first to have the moral right to evaluate something.
Essentially the question. No one will tell you exactly what day the sea evening in the Garden is, because from week to week they can change days. But once a week is fine. You can check with the hotel representative.
аватар Pachok
I have the moral right to evaluate anything. And you have no right to tell me what to write and what not.
In your own words - to compare with 5 * hotels, you have to travel to 5 *. For 15 years I have traveled to a lot of hotels in Tzruia of different categories and I know perfectly well what I am talking about.
аватар Alexandr-
Pachok!
You shouldn't be offended. I also managed to visit a lot of places) I meant a specific hotel. I'm sure that you have not been to it. As for the Turkish 4 * and 5 *, I have no doubt that you are cunning! You probably know very well that there are a lot of fours, better than many fives. And vice versa. It is enough to sort by price in the same Tez tour - the same Garden Resort will cost a lot of 5 *. So just looking at the number of stars is stupid. There is Amara Wings 5 * and there is some Kemal Bay, also 5 *. But this Kemal Bay, compared to Amara, will look at a maximum of 3 *, and the same Garden Resort is much higher in level, albeit a four.
That's why I say, first visit the hotel, and then write.
аватар Pachok
Alexander, you should not be offended by any unenthusiastic mention of Bergamot. Fanaticism is not good in any manifestation. This hotel is definitely good. For your category. No one scolds your favorite hotel, but what does seafood have to do with it? If you do not agree with our opinion, please describe the menu of themed evenings (except for fish and shrimp).
As for the general 5 * and 4 * in the Kemer region, Bergamot is one of the few normal 4 * hotels. There are good threes, there are a lot of good 5*, but there are real problems with 4*.
аватар Alexandr-
Well, my favorite hotel is completely different)))
As for thematic "sea" evenings, they are the same in any hotel in Turkey, if they are held there at all. As for Kemer, then among the city hotels Garden Resort is one of the best. I don't look at stars. Another thing is that the same Amara costs 2 times more. But if it's twice as good, I don't know. I'm not talking about hotels in villages. In this case, only about directly urban.
And I don’t defend Garden Resort and I don’t offend)))
It's just disgusting to read something like "In a 4 * hotel you will never have seafood, don't even dream of it, only in 5 "ultra".". You did not write this, so the claims are not against you.
And the fact that you were not in the Garden Resort is a fact. Hope you stay there again.
аватар Pachok
Let's see ... maybe I'll visit, although I prefer hotels in villages, with a large territory and only the 1st line. Will there be a menu description for the themed evening? Then it doesn't count.
аватар Alexandr-
Well, I just like city hotels more ...
I don’t really like seafood, so I won’t help in this matter ...
аватар larissonn
Alexandr, I would also be curious to see the menu. Maybe I’m wasting my money on Vietnam and Thai, and everything is much simpler, the Garden Resort Hotel. By God, if there is a paradise for seafood lovers, I won’t go to Rixos in April, where it’s tight with them (you can say almost no), but I'll go to your favorite hotel. Just let's agree right away - sprinkled with shrimp (even thickly) salad and mussels in rice, we will not call seafood. I look forward to the report and photos.
аватар Alexandr-
larisson!
Again, I am not a seafood lover. I am sure Garden Resort and Turkey will not be able to compete with your beloved Vietnam and Thailand at all. I prefer Turkey and all inclusive.
And you, good luck in Thailand) Do not confuse the branches, here about Turkey, actually)))
аватар Pachok
Here, in general, about seafood in a particular hotel :)) I would like specifics. And Larissonn is right - even in 5 * in Turkey with SEAFOOD strained. If it's different in Bergamot, I just want to know for the future.
аватар Pachok
Turkey can compete with Thailand. In terms of the sea, climate, the concept of all. The price has already overtaken both Thailand and Vietnam. But in terms of seafood, it cannot compete not only with Southeast Asia, but even with European coastal countries - Spain, Portugal, Italy. So let's go to Turkey each for our own impressions, but do not mislead those who are just going there.
аватар Alexandr-
Pachok!
Of course strained! According to your Garden Resort is the only hotel in Turkey, especially for which they buy seafood. The same tense as in all of Turkey. I say that 4 *, that 5 * - all the same. Ask someone else if you want specifics, I don’t care about seafood at all. And who likes them so much and who cannot live without them for a couple of weeks - a place in other countries.
I prefer Turkey, because seafood is parallel to me.
аватар Alexandr-
Something about Spain is not sure that it is better than Turkey for seafood.
аватар Pachok
@I prefer Turkey, because seafood is parallel to me.@
Twenty-five again :) The topic is not about you, not about why you choose Turkey or the Bergamot Hotel. And about what seafood will be at the theme evening.
You can be sure about Spain :)
аватар Alexandr-
Pachok!!!!
The hotel is called the Garden Resort.
Can't list the seafood at the theme night, ask the seafood lovers from this hotel. This evening interested me the least. A fish is a fish for me. I won’t even say what kind of fish it was, and even more so, seafood.
If you have been to Spain, you can tell how it is with seafood. I was in Spain only once, also in an all-inclusive 4 * hotel. Feeding - does not come close to Turkey. I admit that you could enjoy seafood in Spain, but obviously not in a hotel, but in some fish restaurant ...
