We arrived hungry because we flew with Pigasus, we stopped at two o'clock in the afternoon, and the food was only at 15.30 (snack bar), from hunger we sat down at the bar and took beer and drank it hungry from hopelessness, since good women gave us French fries, which they took themselves to beer at dinner. Finally, we ate and everything seemed to be fine. We went to the reception and asked to clean up and add towels and another blanket. There were towels the next day, there was no cleaning, blankets too.
After two or three more requests, blankets appeared, we got the receptionist and he had to tell us to give blankets. Hooray.
There was no cleaning, I even cleaned myself.
But I want to say we rented two rooms, one bungalow (standard), the other in the main building was cleaned more or less (tip was left the same)
On the second day, we found that the cutlery and plates are washed poorly, wiped with vodka, wet wipes. Alcohol is toxic enough that if you drink it every day, you can ruin your health. My friend was ill for two days, waste)))
The passage to the sea is difficult, but if a good physical. preparation, it does not matter, but even a plus. There are also stairs around the hotel, and by the way, you can’t roll a heavy suitcase there, but you have to drag it.
when we stopped, they helped deliver it to the room, and when we left, drag it on our own.
The staff is different, there are a few employees who are sincere and polite, but the main part is two-faced arrogant people.
An interesting situation happened, a man was evicted because he talked with a girl who liked one of the leaders, a very strange and muddy story that speaks of the incompetence of the leadership, and absolute indifference (at least at the end of the season)
Impressions were twofold, a beautiful view, but even he did not please at the end of the holiday, I wanted to go home.
I would be very upset if I gave more than 23 thousand rubles for this vacation. And so justified the whole holiday at a cheap price.
(If you still go there, take earplugs with you)
I also left the glasses by the pool that the tourists didn’t need, as if the cleaners threw them out or took them away, and a friend left the cross in the room, they called 6 hours after check-out, they say that there is nothing. They just don't care.
Another plus of this place: the view of the beautiful sunset, amazing.
Let's start with the check-in: in the hotel lobby, at the reception, they showed our passports, filled out a questionnaire, they gave us a key card one for the room and told us to wait until we were taken to the room (because it’s hard to find it ourselves, we were generally confused on the first day, where to go, and asked the staff). We waited 20 minutes at the reception until we noticed that everyone who came with us was no longer in the lobby, and other tourists were escorted out of the lobby by the hotel staff, and they already had bracelets on them (at first we thought that they were put on after how they settle, but it turned out we just forgot to hang them), in the end we had to come up and ask ourselves. On the one hand, you can understand that employees are also people and get tired, but on the other hand, somehow unprofessional. We were also given an A4 sheet with the concept of the hotel (see attached photos).
We flew in very hungry (we ate at the airport at 10 am, and settled us at about 5:20 pm), but we didn’t manage to eat, because. the snack bar was already closed (it is until 17:00), and dinner from 19:00. At the reception, they did not react at all, they gave a delivery business card and said to order food. If we were still waiting for the delivery, we would definitely die of hunger. In a 3-minute walk from the hotel we found a store and bought bagels with sesame seeds and kefir there (the food is so-so, but at least somehow satisfied our hunger).
I want to warn you right away that it is difficult to meet Russian speakers in this part of Turkey (except for tourists), the hotel staff speaks English or Turkish (unlike Kirish, Kemer, where we previously rested).
Now about the room: we were settled in a triple room with a double and a single bed overlooking the sea (I also attached a photo of the room). The mattress and pillows were great and the bed was comfortable. There was no shower gel in the bathroom (aka shampoo), although we had our own brought bath accessories, but we would not have enough of them, so we informed the receptionist about the lack of gel and the next day he was already in the dispenser. There is also a safe for a deposit in the room (you pay $20 at the reception, they give you the key and use it, and on the day of check-out you give the key and take the deposit, we didn’t have less than $50, so they gave $50, they were returned when you handed over the room) .
In terms of nutrition, everything was excellent: for breakfast they took scrambled eggs and grilled toast with grilled cheese + delicious pancakes with chocolate + coffee (we ate our heads); for lunch they took something meat, vegetables, cheese cakes, less often a side dish (it is strange that they had absolutely tasteless potatoes in any form) + sweets, watermelons, ice cream (pistachio and chocolate were especially tasty); for dinner, they mostly took fish / meat with vegetables + sweets. They also drank tea, but added lemon juice and mint to it - it tastes better. We tried beer from alcohol (at lunch and dinner it went with a bang for food), and after dinner we went to the bar and drank cocktails: there are cool ones and not so much, but this, as they say, is a matter of taste.
As for the hotel territory: terraced development, a hall with a reception on the ground floor, on the -2nd floor there is a games room with free billiards, table tennis and darts (but it's stuffy there, because there are no air conditioners + one of the evenings we came there after 22:00 to play billiards, after 20 minutes of playing the hotel employee came, silently closed the doors and it became unbearably stuffy, we opened them, after which he came again and closed them, we immediately opened them back - to which he began to speak in English, that they should be closed, we replied that with the doors closed, it was as if you were in a sauna, he began to say that the noise from the cue hitting the ball prevented the guests from sleeping (apparently there were complaints and he came to close it), but it was unpleasant for us, because we are also guests and he could explain initially what was the matter, and not slam into a stupid door). In general, this should also be taken into account.
As for the sea: we went to wild beaches. One is near the Isiz hotel (it takes about 10 minutes to walk from the main exit, but there is a very steep descent, it is difficult to climb back + construction is underway near it and most likely soon this beach will be private and closed to Riva Bodrum Resort guests). It takes 20-50 minutes to go to other wild beaches, mostly off-road along the sea, but it's worth it - the sea there is of different shades of green and blue with clear azure water and mountain views + you can see a stunning sunset. There were also on city public beaches - not impressed: muddy water and shallow.
The hotel is the final stop of the Bodrum-Gumbet minibus, where you can get to Gumbet, visit the castle of St. Peter, see the mausoleum, the amphitheater, or just visit the city beach. We went there 2 times (the first time we bought an excursion to the Dalyan reserve, it was cool, I recommend it, at a price it cost us $ 30 per person + we spent an additional $ 14 for a portion of 3 crabs ($ 7), 3 bottles of pomegranate juice (0 each , 33 l = $6) and a tip to the driver ($1); the second time they wanted to visit the castle, they read on the Internet that the entrance costs 20 liras per person, and on the spot it turned out that 90 liras ($11.25). it’s expensive just to look at the stone building from the inside. Next to the castle there is a port and it would be a little more expensive (for 125 lira = $ 15.5) to sail on a yacht and swim in 6 different bays from 11 to 18 with lunch included, to you understood our indignation.
On one of the evenings we smoked a hookah in a hotel for $ 15 - thick and dense smoke, there was a lot of it, we smoked a hookah for about 1.5 hours, normal.
Regarding water: when checking in, there were 2 bottles of 0.5 l in the mini-bar - they don’t bring more water, we had 2 more bottles of 0.5 l with us (they gave water on the plane), so 2 l was enough for us trips to and from the beach. They collected water in a restaurant, bar, in the hall from vending machines.
As for the towels: they ask you not to use them on the beach and the pool, we took a dip in the pool 1 time during the day and we didn’t need towels, but we still took them to the beach, t. to. they didn't have theirs.
Regarding cleaning: there is none, they cover the bed, change towels and remove garbage from the floor, if you throw it on, the bed was not changed even once in a week, they don’t vacuum.
About WiFi: catches only in the lobby, restaurant, bar and weaker on the sunbeds by the pool.
As for nutrition. Everything was delicious. The basis of the diet was fresh vegetables, lettuce leaves, salads, pide (similar to pizza, only very thin and in the shape of a boat), puff pastry rolls with meat or cheese filling. At each meal there was a large selection of Turkish desserts (7-10 types) and there were always fresh, and most importantly ripe fruits (watermelon, melon, apples, oranges) For breakfast they gave small buns with cottage cheese and sesame simiti bagels, and small croissants, eggs (boiled, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with vegetables), sausages, sliced ham, sausage, various cheeses), there were also portioned jams, honey, butter, processed cheese. For lunch and dinner, soup was served. Several types of side dishes (regular steamed rice, vermicelli in different sauces, french fries, sometimes there were potato croquettes (boiled potatoes fried in breading), onion rings, fries, there was once roast lamb for meat, turkey roll, but more often there was chicken ( drumsticks, wings, and fillet (stewed with vegetables and in the form of nuggets), in the grill zone there were cutlets or grilled chicken fillet, grilled vegetables (pickled onions, tomatoes, peppers) once every two days there was fish (similar to trout) fried whole on grill.
After lunch and dinner, you could have delicious ice cream in balls in a waffle cone (usually there were three flavors to choose from (vanilla, chocolate, lemon, caramel, pistachio, strawberry, berry mix).
Of the free leisure, a bathhouse, a hammam, a gym, table tennis are offered, yoga was held several times at 9:00 near the pool. But we didn't use any of it.
We did not live in the main building, but in the so-called "bungalows" (a two-story house with four rooms) and, of course, it does not pull 4 stars. From the good: comfortable mattresses and pillows, clean bed linen, a lot of towels (one for the feet and two towels for each person (small and large). Every day they came in to do the cleaning, I don’t know, the towels were changed or just neatly folded, but there were no complaints about cleanliness Once in the afternoon they came in and treated the room around the perimeter from mosquitoes (and it’s really effective, the insects didn’t bother at all). You can't charge it while you're away either. ) The TV is small, it's not convenient to watch while lying on the bed. large, not convenient to use, in the bathroom there was only liquid soap, which is also not very convenient to use, it's good that they took a piece of ordinary solid soap with them.
I would definitely like to note that the hotel is located on a mountain and thanks to this, beautiful views of the Gumbet Bay open up from the territory.
Walking to the beach is really not close 15-20-30 minutes, depending on where you go. But the most important thing is that in any case you will have to return downhill (high and steep). The whole city consists of ascents and descents replacing each other.
There is the Bitez embankment (the beach is narrow 3-5 meters, full of sunbeds belonging to establishments, you can use it by buying something. Everyone has different rules, you need to approach and ask. There is practically no free part where you can just lie on the sand. You can walk to the other side of the peninsula , through the Migros supermarket and the football field, the beach is wider there, but you can also relax comfortably except at the restaurant and here the prices will already bite. a small piece of an abandoned beach. Only a frame remained from the canopies, the beach is pebbly. And the last option for wild recreation is lagoons along the "health" trail (tourists will understand, the route is marked with paint on stones) there will be a lot of them, for every taste, just go and choose. Here the water will be of a completely different color, more azure, beautiful, sunset: a few meters of pebbles, and then the most delicate sand) the most stubborn will reach the Aquarium (marked on g oogle maps), very beautiful, clear water, fish swim, yachts are parked. Of the minuses - a lot of garbage (corn cores, lemon, plastic, cups, snack wrappers, broken glass). The beach is again - pebbles, not much to lie around. How to get there: go down to Liman Bitez and go left, go to the end of the pier and there begins a rocky path.
I advise you to go to Bodrum, see the old town, the Fortress, the embankment, walk along the narrow streets, find Greek ones among them, take beautiful photos, drink tea or coffee on the very seashore, there are enough cafes for every taste (many have a second floor, from where the view is even better). It is easy to get there by minibus (dolmush), the fare is 6.50 TL near the hotel and you also need to go to the final one (car park). It’s better to get back in the same place, otherwise there is a risk of not catching a minibus, in that direction they go one way, and return the other way. From street food, I advise you to try loukoumades / lokma (sweet deep-fried donuts). It will also be interesting to go to Yalikavak (about 20 km from Bodrum), where the main attraction is the embankment with luxurious yachts of meionnaires and an alley with a large number of elite shops and restaurants.
Upon arrival, we were quickly settled and it was a bungalow, of course I was very upset, but this is not the fault of the hotel - we misunderstood the meaning that: Standart Club Room DBL is a bungalow.
But on the other hand, the view from the balcony of room 1064 covers the pool, and the restaurant, and the bay with boats, and the arch with flowers, the view is of course awesome and this compensated for this bungalow.
The staff is very friendly and attentive, fed every day with meat, fruits, ice cream and lots and lots of greens.
I advise everyone to visit the SPA-center. Professionals work there, cool massage and hammam, special thanks to the SPA admin. He speaks Russian - Serdar, he has not only golden hands, but also a golden heart!
I want to come back here again and again.. .
The furniture is very old and shabby, the room needs major repairs, plumbing, refrigerator were working. It is problematic to clean the floor with cleaning, only change the towels. The hotel area is not well maintained, not cleaned.
I liked the food, it was really tasty a lot of seasonal vegetables, fruits (melons, watermelons). This hotel is located high on a hill between the two bays of Bitez and Gumbet, and you can enjoy the sunset for dinner. The main advantage of the hotel is the beautiful view and the pools on site.
The hotel does not have its own beach, 250 m to the sea, but everywhere the private area is guarded and will not let you into the sea.
To the nearest beach 900-1100 m. Bitez bay, with a steep descent, to Gumbet 2200 m. (Sunbeds and umbrellas are paid) prices are different. The beach is partly pebbles and imported sand from marble and quartz construction waste. The hotel has a lot of steps, you need to walk a lot, if you are not ready for this, it is better to choose another option!
The room is small and shabby. There are cat or dog paw marks on the wall. There is a lattice instead of a balcony.
Water can be taken from the beverage dispenser. The water is cloudy and has a strange taste. We decided to buy water in the market. The nearest supermarket Migros is 15 minutes on foot (((And most importantly, the hotel does NOT have its own beach !! ! Although the hotel website states that it has its own beach, it is NOT! The nearest beach is very steep downhill 15-20 minutes. You can lie on other people's sunbeds for $ 18-20. In the reviews above, I saw that they let you in for a cocktail, they are not allowed everywhere. On the beach, instead of sand, they brought waste from marble and quartz, and this is very dangerous for the body (((
"+" Good food, sea view
We decided that we were unlucky with the room and decided to move to another room. 50 lira and we are in the same bungalow only one floor below, room 2051. Here, as it turned out, everything is unchanged, only even "cooler". The room with the so-called balcony is approximately 2.5 by 2.5 meters. Here, no one ever complains. There was a used condom lying on a nearby balcony. And all our vacation, no one even bothered to remove it. But as it turned out, we were not alone in the room and on the balcony. These are huge cockroaches. Yes! At the reception, when they saw a photo of cockroaches, they looked with surprised eyes. They say this is the first time! After that, it was just tidy in the room and that was it.
The food is monotonous. Every day is the same. There was an unpleasant moment in the dining room: when I came up for the fried fish, the hotel employee said that 5 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes later. He said 1 more minute. So I stood for another 5 minutes, until the hookah man Ibrahim, who speaks Russian, came up. Ibrahim explained that they don't give fish because you already took it. After Ibrahim explained that I had just come to have dinner, the incident was over. On one of the sites it is stated that there is a shuttle to the beach. It's a lie. If you want to break your legs, then go ahead. To the beach stomp and stomp. Drinks are disgusting. The staff makes you feel like you are at home. There are a lot of cats in the hotel that can jump into your room or on the table in the dining room.
The only plus of the hotel is the beautiful view of the bay.
But now about the hotel, let's start from the very beginning, check-in from 14.00, but it's like everywhere else, in all hotels in the world, I just warn those who don't know. They gave us a bungalow, or as they call it a club room, and then we were shocked, the whole room has very dirty tiles on the floor, you don’t walk barefoot, but fortunately there are slippers in the room, the room is very small, the air conditioner weighs from some shaggy years and the whole wall is sealed with construction tape (we never turned it on) the wall on the counter it is all covered in wallpaper patches, the bedside tables are all dirty, and inside there was garbage from previous guests, the bed linen was always in some kind of stains and there was no feeling of clean linen, my friend and I were covered with acne the next day, right on the side of the face on which we mostly sleep, the bathroom just shocked us even more, on the floor it was either dirt or mold, we went to the shower only in slippers, otherwise it’s just scary it was, all the plumbing needs to be changed or repaired, the taps are shaking.
Cleaning is a separate story, all their cleaning consists in covering your pastel linen and we changed it 1 time in 10 days, and that’s because I went 100 times before and asked to change it, towels can be changed when they arrive, they may not be changed , according to the mood, I guess.
The territory of the hotel may be large, but it is not felt because there is only one place where you can sit in the evening and you won’t walk around the territory much, there are three pools, you don’t have your own beach, so you have to go down to the beach and swim on other people’s beaches and think they will kick you out or no.
The food at the hotel is ordinary, as in all Turkish hotels with good food, as well as alcohol, there are good alcoholic cocktails.
Almost no one speaks Russian in the hotel, everyone knows English and speaks it.
The hotel positions itself as a youth and party hotel, I will say this, if you are traveling with your big company, then you will not be bored, but you will have to look for entertainment for yourself, if you are traveling together or three, then it’s good if you meet someone and it will be fun, otherwise you will be bored and you will spend the evenings quietly peacefully, drinking cocktails. There are a lot of people 50+, so sometimes you feel that you are not in a hotel, but in a boarding house.
By the way, by the end of the vacation, they noticed that all Russian-speaking tourists were accommodated in these bungalows, there were a lot of dissatisfied people, a lot of people walked around and cursed, asked to change the room (by the way, we also asked, we were given exactly the same room, no better), and visiting the sites about this hotel there are not so many bad reviews, we were very surprised, but then we were secretly told that many are asked to write a good review in exchange for some kind of present.
Would I recommend this hotel to my friends? NO.
Would you go there again? No.
For the money we paid, we were in hotels that are many times better.
I hope my review will help you in choosing a hotel. Photos are attached.
Have a nice holiday)
