Among the shortcomings: small and bald area (little greenery).
There is no private beach, the city one is 100 m from the hotel.
Meals take place in the main building: everything is very tasty and varied, a lot of sweets, not very many fruits.
The rooms are small, but bright, comfortable, renovated.
The hotel staff is always very polite and friendly; every evening there was an interesting entertainment program. Children are delighted with the water slides that are located on the territory of the hotel.
So the hotel.
The hotel is new, has not had time to peel off, everything is clean, beautiful. It consists of a certain number of separate buildings. As has been said more than once - the hotel has a lot of stairs, and if you have certain difficulties with movement or small children in strollers - you better look for another option. Elevators are available, but, for some reason, only for staff. Even for us, two young healthy girls, it was sometimes difficult to get up.
When paying for the voucher, they separately discussed the mandatory check-in in the main building, having read horrors about the “building-across-the-way-especially-for-Russians”. And yes, we were settled in the main building, for some reason in the family suite, which we were incredibly happy about The room is huge, clean, with a wonderful view! There were no more Russians in the main building, in principle there were very few of them, both in this hotel and in Bodrum as a whole.
We arrived at the hotel in the morning and were warned that check-in would have to wait, but if we wanted, we could be put up right this minute at the Laguna Hotel, which is around the corner. At the same time, they guarantee free wi fi and hinted about a free spa. I still don't understand what it was. We did not heed the offer, and went to wait for the settlement (as it turned out later - not in vain) to the beach.
Beach. What can I say about the beach: in a week we climbed all the beaches of Gumbet, and ours was far from the worst. Yes, it's dirty, but the garbage is mainly cigarette packs with the inscription in Russian "SMOKING KILLS", therefore, dear compatriots, you should think about your own culture. It gets deep in the sea almost immediately from the shore, and for us it was a huge plus, because, firstly, we swim well, and secondly, on other beaches the sunset is simply monstrous - silt, sharp stones and some terrible algae.
Dogs and cats run periodically, but not only on our beach, but along all the beaches of Gumbet.
Dining room (aka restaurant). The food is absolutely normal, as elsewhere on "all inclusive". I didn’t like the desserts (oriental sweets and cakes with cream soufflé are not my thing at all). Lots of fruits. Ice cream is delicious.
Bar. No different from the same bars in other all-inclusive hotels in Turkey, Tunisia and Egypt. Of the local alcohol, only beer was consumed, the rest is impossible to drink. Yes, once they tried a nuclear local blue cocktail - then they washed their tongue and lips for a long time and unsuccessfully)))
Swimming pool. There are two of them, and we didn’t swim in them - the sea was enough for us. It looked like nothing, all the Europeans happily splashed around there. Only a few sunbeds, they need to be occupied in the morning, apparently.
Staff. Very friendly, smiling, love children. I don’t know if they speak Russian - they didn’t check.
Entertainment. There is an announcement that for children from 20.
30 mini disco, really just music playing - and dance whoever you want, I understand mini disco for kids in a different way though. There were small shows a couple of times, but we didn't see it in person as we were having fun outside the hotel.
The host. We went with Tez-tour. There were no special complaints about them, everything is clear. Excursions were only painfully imposed, but this is always the case. I also remembered: to our question on the first day about how to get to the street of bars, the guide Yulia (maybe I’m mistaken with the name) made big surprised eyes and said: “There is no Bar Street here! This is not Marmaris for you! » I don’t know what justified her answer, but this is an obvious lie, there is a street of bars in Bodrum, or rather two whole : )
To sum it all up, we can definitely recommend this hotel for a wide group of travelers (if the stairs don't scare you). If you have any questions - write, I will be glad to help!
