To Turkey without a travel agency. Who has been? Does it make sense?
Does it make sense to independently organize your vacation, without a travel agency. The country is visa-free, there are plenty of hotels, cards are sold on the street. Has anyone tried it and how do you like it? Share your experience.

Of course, yes - if you like doing it.
And if the question is about the price, then it will not always be cheaper, but, on the other hand, as you want!
It's simple - book a hotel, buy a plane ticket, and fly to Antalya.

I flew like that last year and I'm going to this one too. My opinion - it makes sense to go that way, if it is possible to buy tickets. There is a low-cost service from Kyiv, the price was from $120 this year if you buy in advance. How things are from Russia with tickets - do not know. Transport in Turkey is well organized, both public and taxi, you can order a taxi on the Internet, it turns out at a price almost like a group operator transfer. Hotels can be booked on international booking sites. There are all-inclusive resort hotels, and small guest houses in places that operators do not offer. But, of course, it still depends on the current operator offers, the desired hotel, route and travel time. For example, in October I am taking my mother, aunt, husband and his parents for two weeks, everyone wants 5 * for all, we get a significant benefit.
And a week ago I returned from Fethiye, went with a friend for a week at 3 * to HB through Tez Tour, had a great rest for only $ 330 per person :)

I almost always go to Turkey myself. the exceptions are those cities where we have no way to get ourselves.
if you are in a resort town, then sometimes it makes sense to buy a cheap tour. everything has to be calculated. depends on the hotel as well.
Turkey has such an infrastructure that everything is tuned for tourists. It's cheaper to go sightseeing!

my opinion is that a flight and a hotel are better through a tour operator (because it’s cheaper than you will buy plane tickets and book a hotel yourself), but then you can do it yourself (I mean trips to Pamukkale, Cappadocia, etc.) . It's cheaper and more interesting. Each city has a bus station where you can buy a bus ticket and go to the place you are interested in. If a long-distance move, then it is usually at night. So, for example, from Alanya you can go to Istanbul, Nevsehir (and from there to Cappadocia within easy reach), and to other regions

"flight and hotel are better through a tour operator (because it's cheaper than you will buy plane tickets and book a hotel yourself)"
This is far from always the case. Not a single operator considers the cost of the tour to be the flight Kyiv-Antalya-Kyiv for 120 dollars. And you can buy these tickets yourself. Not a single operator will sell a day in Marty Mir for $100 for a double room, and on "hotels" this could be done in the spring for almost all dates of the season. For 15-20 euros, the tour operator only allows a group transfer by bus with a stop at different hotels, and when ordering via the Internet for the same money, you get an individual transfer in an excellent air-conditioned car.
On the other hand, operators have interesting special offers, especially for inexpensive hotels.

I also want to go on my own, but I travel at the beginning of the season and at the end, and so far it’s cheaper with a tour operator.

Pachok, when I wrote about "cheaper", I meant an average tour, with inexpensive hotels. And about tours from Kyiv, I, unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, I can’t say, because. did not fly from Ukraine.
From personal experience, I can say that it is cheaper to go to Europe, Asia, but not to Turkey or Yegi.

*cheaper to go to Europe, Asia, but not to Turkey or Egi*
Well, do not be so categorical! it’s cheaper to go to Istanbul yourself, because. There are NO charters there, and tour operators offer VERY expensive hotels. you can go to the same Egypt yourself cheaper, rent an apartment (and there they are big) for a family and eat (it's healthier and cheaper) by yourself.

Speaking of Istanbul! Nobody needs tickets Simferopol-Istanbul-Simferopol at a price of $130? Aerosvit has another promotion.

My friend flies in August with his wife and two teenagers 17 and 13 years old to Kemer in 5 *. I bought air tickets myself, contacted the hotel director on the site and booked a room for 10 days. The hotel in Antalya will send a car for them and it all came out to him for $ 600 cheaper than if through a tour company !!!! So you can try it yourself!

Well! And if he also ordered a transfer via the Internet and made a hotel reservation through an international booking site, it would be even cheaper!
Good luck with your solo travels!

Specifically, those on which I ordered an all-inclusive Turkey:
www.hrs.com (Corinthia Tekirova)
www.dhr.com (Marty Mira)
In fact, there are a lot of them - dozens, at least, look for where it is more profitable for you and the conditions are better.

Will they let you in without health insurance?
аватар Pachok
They will let them in, but why not arrange it???? A very strange idea to save a penny so that in case of trouble you can get a large amount ...
