Turkey (Belek): Club Mega Saray (Mega Saray Club), 5*.
Rested three of us with my wife and son 4.5 years. We checked in on 11 and flew out on June 24.2009. We chose the Belek area so that it would be close to travel with a child from the airport, so that the beach was sandy and a 5 * hotel. We went through the TezTour operator.
The hotel really has a lot of pools, restaurants, bars, etc. Large and beautiful area, which is quite enough of any greenery. But this can also be read on the websites of operators, I will not write too much.

The hotel has a lot of Russian speakers (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, etc. ). Sometimes it even seems like a lot. In June it was about 70-80%, as the guide said. Well, the rest are almost all Germans, they heard French and English speech a couple of times. There are many children of different ages, of which 80 percent are Russian-speaking. In general, if a family with a child, vacationers are almost certainly from the countries of the former USSR. And if the couple is elderly - the Germans. The service staff is very polite, friendly. Many waiters, animators and receptionists understand and speak Russian.
We lived in the second main building, which is more convenient for us than in the depths of the garden or closer to the sea, since we went to the sea twice (before and after dinner), but to a restaurant, bars, shops, guides, etc. . d. - many times a day. And this is all just near the second main building.
Several electronic key cards are issued from the room. Everything in the room works only when such a card is inserted into a special slot-receiver. We, going to the beach, stuck a card and turned on the air conditioner. And the second was taken with them as a key. We come from the beach, and the room is cool, good, we turn off the air conditioner and with the curtained windows the coolness lasts for a long time. The floors in the room are covered with carpets, as it should be in the main body: warm and soft for the feet).
The minibar in the room is replenished every two days: coca, mirinda, sprite, mineral water and plain water. But there is no beer in the minibar. But in the restaurant and bars all alcoholic drinks are free, including imported ones. For payment only champagne and some other expensive alcohol seems to be. If you ask them, they will first make it clear what the fee is and whether you will definitely order. And so, all sorts of whiskey, brandy, vodka, etc. - free and unlimited.
The maid was given a $1 tip on the bed. For the delivery of luggage to the room and the ascent to the 2nd floor - also $ 1. Everyone knows this.
On the territory a couple of times we saw two turtles and a hedgehog. But then, no matter how much they went, they did not see any more. They say the hedgehog was crushed and he died. The impression was that they are specially bought periodically, brought and released in order to create the appearance of the presence of living creatures.

On the territory of the hotel there is a good playground for children, where games, crafts, drawings are held with them during the day. There is a covered children's pool with slides. The beach also has a small playground with slides, an awning is stretched over it for shade, so our child disappeared there for quite a long time, we didn’t even smear him with creams. There are some activities for teenagers in a special club for them. Every evening in the amphitheater children's animation (monotonous, but the children go crazy), and then a performance for adults.
The food is excellent, a lot of meat dishes (beef, lamb, chicken, turkey, there was even something with goat meat), there is always fish (fried, baked, battered). The meat is cooked exceptionally tasty, always something new. There were several types of soups, but all were mashed soups, incl. and borscht. In June, the fruits were watermelons, melons, apricots, cherries, oranges, bananas and some local sour fruit. All this in sufficient quantities, constantly laying out new portions. I often saw that tourists take fruits in huge plates, but there was enough for everyone. Also spread canned (from cans with syrup) peaches, apricots, pineapples. For breakfast in the restaurant, fresh orange juice in any quantity. There are also a lot of sweets (cookies, cakes, biscuits, cakes, etc. )
The main restaurant has a children's room, where there are small tables with chairs to comfortably feed the children. There is also a small assortment of children's dishes for them.
On the territory in different bars they constantly make cakes, donuts, hamburgers with french fries, take out cookies, watermelons, ice cream, all this is free. Well, beer, tea, coffee, juices, alcohol, cocktails (including non-alcoholic ones).
Waiters in restaurants and bars work very quickly, clean quickly, bring orders again, well done.

There are two TezTur guides and guides of other operators in the hotel every day from 9 to 19, many excursions are offered. Prices are on average 30 - 60 dollars. These are jeeping, rafting, diving, yachting on the river and the sea, dolphinarium, spa, Pamukkale, Kekova (Christian church and all sorts of ancient ruins), eco park, horseback riding, sightseeing tours, trips to Jerusalem and Istanbul (but they are much more expensive ). Free trips to Antalya to leather and fur salons, souvenir and jewelry centers are also offered. But it is natural that in these centers it is necessary to bargain mercilessly. The first prices are very high in order to throw them off for you. It's kind of a psychological trick, but you have to keep haggling. So, we bought a fur coat for my wife, having thrown off the price 2.5 times from the initial one.
You can buy a local SIM card for your phone from the guides if you need to call home. For example, if you buy a SIM card for $50, it lasts for 75 minutes. conversations when calling to landline numbers (approximately 20 rubles per minute) or 25 minutes - to cell phones (approximately 64 rubles per minute). All entries are free. SMS to Russia costs about 11 rubles. This SIM card was enough for us for 2 weeks of periodic conversations. There are cheaper sims.
The hotel has shops with souvenirs, sweets, toys, clothes (leather, furs, shoes, textiles), in which Russian-speaking sellers. They accept plastic cards.
The hotel has a car rental in the reception hall. 2 photographers are constantly working on the territory, you can pose, and then find your shots on the information board and if you like it, then order a photo. You can take a photo on a plate, on a clock face.
There are water sports on the beach: banana riding, inflatable circles, parasailing, jet skis, pedal boats (catamaran), windsurfing.
MINUSES:
1) There are not enough sun loungers on the beach. In order to take a sunbed, you need to get up before 7 o'clock in the morning, walk to the beach and cover the sunbed with a towel. After 7 pm there are almost no empty seats. Especially not to find 2-3 places nearby. The way out in such a situation can be found as follows: choose a more or less free place under a canopy and ask the beach caretaker to find you 2 or 3 sunbeds. He will bypass the entire beach, but he will drag a couple of sunbeds from somewhere. Well, or just go to the sun loungers to one of the three pools.
2) Along the coastline, waves wash up a strip of pebbles about 1.5 - 2 meters wide. It is not very comfortable to walk on them, the feet hurt. Well, deep right off the coast. At 3 meters from the shore, an adult is already chest-deep, a small child can no longer be left alone.
But otherwise - a great hotel for families with children. I wish you all a good holiday.
