A little trip to the Dim Barajl reservoir
The story is dedicated to those who like to diversify the Turkish all inclusive with all kinds of activities. In our case, a small bike ride to a beautiful turquoise reservoir in the vicinity of Alanya on the Dim River. This is how our route looked like, with a total length of 26 km (this is about an hour of unhurried driving on a flat road, but you should not deceive yourself on this matter, after all, the mountainous region).
So, the goal is set, we rent bicycles early in the morning - and let's go. Veliki were taken at the nearest rental point (in Alanya there are no problems with this), 25 lira per day (from 9:00 to 19:00), i. e. for two 50 lira, somewhere around 200 UAH. Lock with key included.
The first kilometers were driven along the embankment by the sidewalk (there, by the way, they drive scooters, God forbid), then it’s already a road, since the car traffic off the highway is completely inactive.
To be honest, I imagined the road as a series of steep ascents / descents, and I was worried that it would be too difficult for me (strong physical exertion is not my strong point), but in fact, consider the road to be flat, except for the last one and a half kilometers, which we successfully crossed on foot.
The road runs near the Dim Chai River, and is interesting in itself. Many cafes, restaurants and picnic pavilions located right on the river itself. Also, on the way, we found two fountains with cold drinking water, at our own risk we tried water from both and took it in bottles with us - we remained alive and healthy.
So, the last difficult climb, we pass a huge dam and a little further, and - voila! - Reservoir at a glance. The view is gorgeous, you can also go down to the water itself, there are paths. Of course, we also swam - the water is cool, transparent turquoise, kaaayf. It was possible to drive even farther, but the legs, anticipating the soreness, fiercely opposed this idea.
Remember how we stomped the last 1.5 km on foot, because there was a steep climb? So, imagine now this downhill, straight roller coaster)) In general, we got there for about an hour (with stops - either to drink some water, then put on a cap, or just complain to my husband that I was tired)), and back about 40 minutes I won't say that this reservoir is the most beautiful thing I've seen in my life, but our goal was just some kind of active body movement after a seal lying on the beach. And the panorama of the turquoise pond surrounded by coniferous forest is our pleasant bonus.
