The hotel staff is terrible, they are not rude, but they do nothing. The shower was broken in the room, the bath was leaking, and they didn’t clean it at all, in general, disgusting. The food is terrible. not tasty at all fed, but you can eat.
In general, it is better to choose good 3 * and relax. And the medical insurance is terrible, they have some kind of ointment . . as a magical remedy for everything and don’t expect any more help, so rest more carefully. Knowing that I did not overpay at least. In general, I wish you all a good holiday.
Rested at the Sunlife Resort. I traveled with the tour operator TEZ TOUR.
I will say right away: when I was driving, I was warned that these are not the 5 * that can be seen in Turkey, but 4 * are normal. Since it was necessary to leave urgently (unexpected vacation : )), I had to take what was.
TezTour works perfectly and exactly like clockwork: about the change in departure time with a difference of 5 minutes (! ) I was informed additionally, met, taken, transported, etc. , hotels are served by normal and competent guides.
From the hotel impressions are contradictory.
1) The main plus is the colossal proximity to the sea (20 meters across the territory of the hotel), at the entrance to the sea you can meet stones, but on the 2nd day of rest you already know how to get around them : ).
2) No one broke into the rooms (I read somewhere in the review that they broke into the room - apparently, our tourists sometimes give reasons for such checks).
The hotel, in principle, is very quiet and calm (if drunk vacationers did not brawl: )).
3) Nothing was stolen, during the cleaning everything was put in its place (but you can take the safe - 2 USD per day). The rooms are clean and tidy. Each room has a balcony.
4) The service staff is normal. Mostly all Russian speakers (I would even say the lack of English-speaking staff). The waiters are also mostly normal and polite. And if you give them tips sometimes (which our tourists do extremely reluctantly or don't do at all), then the waiters become just darlings : ).
5) The plates were not snatched out of the hands: before picking up, they asked permission. There were mostly enough dishes: I never found the absence of plates or forks. A couple of times - there were no glasses near the drinks on the way to the beach. But the glasses were brought within a minute.
6) The choice of dishes in the restaurant is more than sufficient (although meat and fish dishes are a different story).
Although, if you are a gourmet and a big fan of variety, it is better to immediately go to another hotel. But all kinds of sweets and pastries - a lot and very tasty and varied. Moreover, with all the "dirt" that was written about in the reviews, no one suffered from an upset stomach.
7) unobtrusive animation: POOL DANCE - entertainment for everyone: the hotel wakes up to the melody of this dance, and falls asleep to the same melody. The disco is not audible, as there is a disco in the room. Charging in the pool, volleyball, darts tournaments - every day. But the animators still need to work on the evening programs. Great disco for kids every evening.
But the hotel has "nuances". I think that because of them the hotel is really a weak 4 *:
1) the air conditioning system is specific: it works according to the “1.5 hour” system: that is, it cools the air for 1.5 hours, and just drives for 1.5 hours.
In addition, this system only works when you are in the room (as in general, all electricity). Therefore, it is better to close the balcony door when entering the balcony, so as not to let in hot air.
2) The rooms are clean only once: when you move into it. During cleaning, only vacuum and fold the bedspread. During the 8 days of my stay at the hotel, they never cleaned the sink (the stains from the washed-off carcass only intensified by the end of the holiday). Towels were not changed in 8 days. Moreover, there really was a need for this, since the towels simply did not dry out and by the end of the rest it was simply impossible to wipe them off - the moisture was almost not absorbed. The same with the bed (although the services were engaged). The quality of cleaning did not depend on the number of tips. It is useless to say something at the reception. They will listen to you, write down the application in the journal and make ends meet. The telephone in the room did not work for many in the hotel. Nobody makes them.
3) the beach area is small, so you have to lie close to your neighbor by 11 am. Beach towels are not a fountain (I advise you to take your own), they are issued according to the deposit system ($ 10). If you are going to travel with children, then look for something else: you will not find any slides, water parks or anything like that there. There is no independent entertainment for children, a playground on the territory of the hotel. It is forbidden to take out drinks to the beach area, and not just call the waiter and ask them to bring you water.
4) in the main restaurant there is no variety of meat dishes: chicken 5 days out of 8 (stewed, in breadcrumbs, shawarma, with peas), 1 time fish, 2 times lamb. That's it. All pickles have the taste and smell of sour vegetables (but this is more likely not a problem of the hotel, but of the national cuisine). Ice cream - once, there is no fish restaurant on site and fish is not included in the menu.
5) with elevators, the question still remains open: service elevators did not always work, and the main ones drive slowly and often break down.
6) excursions with hotel guides are 2 times more expensive than across the road from local tour agencies. But you are less likely to be forgotten somewhere in Pammukale if you go on an excursion from the Tour Operator. Although, hoping that you will learn something interesting is unreasonable. Local guides believe that talking about the ancient era and its surviving monuments is unnecessary details for anyone. After all, it’s better to bring people to the “textile center” for about an hour, and then to a dozen more shops and tell how Russians know how to drink and hangover (it seems like we don’t know this! ), And how Russians in Turkey mock the Germans on May 9 .
Since the main contingent in the hotel is Russians, less Ukrainians, Belarusians, even less often Germans and Turks, then the atmosphere is appropriate. Judge for yourself: 7.
03 in the morning, breakfast, the restaurant has just opened, the first vacationers enter and instead of saying “Good morning” to the cooks and waiters, you hear a loud: “What the hell are they doing today - they haven’t even put out all the buns yet! ? ". That's it.

2) it’s true that we changed towels for a week, they changed them 1 time, and we all continued to throw them on the floor (like dirty ones, they picked them up and hung them back)
3) there was no stench, on the contrary, it smelled very tasty of fried meat and fish (if you are vegetarians, then the hotel is not to blame)
4) And the fact that the waiters are rude, only your fault, for example, I made friends with them all, and instead of plastic glasses they brought cola in glass ones. There were, of course, individual citizens there, so you just don’t mess with them, don’t spoil your vacation !! ! Their hair is not greasy, but varnished, but for you, the guests are trying, but as for the shape, it’s certainly not super, but here’s a big difference to you
5) dishes are of course a little lacking, just many customers ask for five glasses at a time and then another hour they come again 6
6) By the way, in ordinary 5 * shawarma is always only on Turkish night, and I also want to note that this night was in our hotel, which says that it is quite normal, because usually people are taken to other hotels... They even prepared a delicious cake for us -ice cream!
7) yes, soy cutlets were there, but it’s not necessary to eat them, because there are also lamb and poultry and fish... And these cutlets have finally been removed to the very far, so if you really want to eat
8) no one pulls out any plates, on the contrary, near the pool, on the contrary, during lunch and dinner, there are salons and napkin holders, they are not fools to put them for beauty! Here in the room, but you can’t take food... well, it’s the same everywhere
9) elevators break down, but there is a service one next to them, so he drives faster and is always empty (no one rides him)
10) and the animation is normal for all ages, and the shows are quite interesting... and the disco is excellent, people from neighboring hotels came to it
11) absolutely no queues. . . unless of course you have to resort to the very beginning, and there is always food. .

- accommodation: there is no attention to vacationers, they try to immediately foist the worst, less popular rooms, which can only be replaced after a scandal. Example: there were 8 of us (rooms 2 + 1.2 + 1 and 2), the only wish is to be placed side by side, at least on the same floor. This request was confirmed when purchasing the ticket (2 weeks before the arrival date) and duplicated immediately at the airport. As a result, instead of the ordered rooms, family "apartments" of microscopic sizes (they came at a much lower price) and a 2-bed room were offered. After we saw this and refused, they stopped talking to us at all, immediately "forgetting" the Russian language. We received our ordered rooms (but already in completely different parts of the hotel and on different floors) after 4 hours of staying at the hotel.
- food: no variety. What was not eaten yesterday is poured with sauce and served the next day. If the sourness does not knock you down, the administration considers it quite suitable food. Of the fruits - I saw only half-rotten cherries... The dishes are practically not washed, I saw how the remnants of food are brushed off the plate and the plate is put in "clean". Those that are washed are dangerous to pick up, because of the remaining fat they can slip out... It is not removed from the tables, finding a free and clean table is a problem. In the only bar there are queues, in order to order something you have to wait about 10-15 minutes. There is no choice - then it ends, then another...
- the sea: the only thing that is good. Sandy beach, comfortable and pleasant entry into the water. But... there is a free exit from the city to the beach, the territory is almost never cleaned, there are stone (or other) slabs in the sea, which, if you are not used to, are very easy to break your legs. In addition, the beach itself is narrow and small, there are not enough sunbeds... The shortage is created artificially - a beachboy for a dollar at 5 in the morning takes sunbeds for vacationers, finding a free place at 7 in the morning is no longer realistic. Well, access to the beach is a slippery sloping path, slipping and falling is the easiest thing. Cabins for changing clothes and showers are available, but without doors.
- rooms: tolerable, if you do not pay attention to the wretched and hacky repairs and design. The paint is smeared, everything is glued so that it barely holds, crooked and askew... But it’s impossible to sleep at night - the air conditioner roars and makes noise, but there is no result, heat, stuffiness, coolness can only be a dream (if you manage to fall asleep... )
- staff: "Russian-speaking" staff does not communicate, not only in Russian - they do not know English.
- animation: I haven't seen it, I can't say anything. The animators had a day off and understand it how you want...
Summary - a day later they ran away, paid extra and everyone left for the Gallery. Let them fly into the money, but the rest still took place! You can't even compare these 5* hotels! I sympathize with those who could not escape and were forced to stay in this squalor! Those who rested before and wrote laudatory reviews (which I bought into) were lucky, after another scandal of vacationers, a special commission worked, they say it was not bad... a couple of weeks.
We participated in all the competitions that the animators held there and were satisfied. For children, of course, there were few entertainments, firstly, not a single slide, the mini-club is open from 9 to 12 and from 15 to 17 (it's time to sunbathe and swim) And it is located in the basement of this hotel. Moreover, you can take children there only on the condition that the parents are on the territory (the meaning of this mini-club ????? ) But in general it’s not bad.
The territory is small, but quite clean (you can safely let the children go, even if you are on the beach and the child is in the pool), we never queued at the bar, the service is normal.
We were given a two-room suite for four, with two balconies (we were counting on a one-room suite), the repair was not bad, although the air conditioner worked somehow strangely (in time). disco in the hotel itself is good, even foamy in places. Let this not be a five, as it is written, but the price is not five-star.
Shopping is a pleasure. Vendors almost always offer tea or hookah.
I also liked the food at the hotel. We just ate there, pastries and vegetables (stewed, fresh - any) are especially good. The animators did their best, the contests were interesting and funny. Although, it should be noted, vacationers did not treat them very well.
It's bad that there were no fresh juices, and the drinks are not tasty. And there are just awful soups-puree.
