Judging by the signs in Russian, only Russians are brought in (would they try to pickle the Germans like that! ). They settled in right away. The room was standard, they said: You have a gift from the hotel - a family room. The gift turned out to be a trick, the smoke from the kitchen and the clink of plates did not allow opening the balcony. The room is small, clean, though the shower is a little shabby but the water pressure is very good). The door in the closet was broken (the husband tried to insert the door, a beam fell on him from above). They asked for another room, they gave it without talking, but... with a view of the road. It's even worse than cymbal clatter. All night the passing transport does not let you sleep.
The rooms are cleaned well. Towels are changed every day, the bar is also replenished every day, water is always in the restaurant, take as much as you want. They feed great. Everywhere you can eat. The staff in the restaurant are efficient and very friendly. The sea is beautiful. The fact that deep is only a plus. Of the shortcomings - a lot of smokers, especially the Germans, they interfere everywhere on the beach and in the evening near the pool at the bar. It seems that they come to the hotel to drink beer and eat. You see them from morning till night sitting at tables with beer in their hands and smoking in all corners of the hotel.
Paid wifi and safe - VERY BIG MINUS! You can complain about the fact that in the hammam and sauna they do not give towels if you do not have a massage (and it is paid). Once you can bring with you from the room. In general, despite some shortcomings, we had a good rest. The sea is gorgeous, and this is the main reason why we fly so far.
The cuisine is striking in its diversity. For 13 days, we counted 10 types of fish (dorado, sea bass, mackerel, horse mackerel, trout, carp, catfish, anchovies, tuna and pink salmon. As well as salads with shrimp and salads with mussels. Several types of meat - chicken, turkey, beef and lamb, cooked and grilled and fried and baked.
Fruit up to 15 species. It’s hard to talk about desserts and pastries in general.
Drinks and ice cream to choose from. The minibar is replenished every day.
Who cares about food.
The sea is very good, clean, at the entrance after a few meters it is already deep. The beach is pebble, it is advisable to take slippers, even to enter the water. There are always places.
Cons - the rooms are small, for two it’s normal, but for three adults it’s not enough (after the first night they changed the room to a larger one). But there are very few of them in the hotel. Also the territory is very small for such a hotel with so many guests. But this is our subjective opinion. The staff is kind but not intrusive.
1. The accommodation went quickly, we were given a good room, according to the scenario described by many. The day before, I went through online registration on the site, but there were no traces of her in the hotels. I had to re-write everything in place. Currency exchange is formally designated, but when I tried to change money for lira, I was refused. By the way, the indicated course was quite tolerable.
2. Number. It may not be large in size, but we are going to Turkey not to sit in the same room? And for sleep it is quite comfortable. Compared to 1997, the number has changed slightly, the main change is a 32-inch flat-screen TV. Everything is clean, but already slightly dilapidated... Disposable slippers and bathrobes were not delivered with the addition of a fifth star. In the bathroom, the tiles are broken in some places, the shower-faucet mixer switch does not work, the plastic of the hair dryer and telephone, yellowed from old age... They gave one magnetic card for three to enter the room (later this created a lot of inconvenience). As written by many, the safe and Wi-Fi are paid, 1 euro from one device per day (at the same time, the day ends at the checkout time, at 12 noon, although no one warned about this). After connecting the third device, the "family rate" applies and 3-4 devices per room will cost 3 euros per day. In the rooms, the network is extremely unstable, constantly knocking out, a good reception in the lobby and restaurants, and at the pool bar.
3. Sea. Pier appeared. And the beach itself remained with large pebbles, so many go into the sea only in "coral" rubber shoes. There are a lot of sunbeds, umbrellas are large, but they are not regulated in relation to the sun. The beach is relatively clean, but the sea is not really, there are a lot of plastic cups, bags, garbage floating around. A bath attendant and a local photographer constantly walk along the beach, with a trained eye choosing untanned tourists as a "victim" and offering them their services.
4. Pool. The main pool remained the same, only the depth everywhere became 145 cm. The children's pool was moved to another place, next to the pool with slides. Water slides with seams at the junctions do not particularly pleasantly "massage" the body during descents.
5. Main restaurant. There is still plenty of food. But its quality has deteriorated. And it is difficult to choose delicious food, in our opinion. Yes, it looks beautiful, beautifully designed, when you pick up a plate you want to eat everything with your eyes... But when you start to try, you understand that not everything is so rosy. Grilled fish is dry, dishes lack flavor, etc. Almost all food is repeated every day (side dishes and salads). Much food remains virtually untouched. In our opinion, it would be a good idea for the chefs to monitor the leftovers and remove those dishes from the menu that are not in demand. The waiters are excellent, as are all the staff we encountered.
6. Animation. At a very high level, the knowledge of the languages of the animators allows you to communicate with all vacationers. They create an interesting program every day, where everyone can find themselves.
7. Territory. Small, but cozy, pleasing to the eye. Lots of greenery.
Overall, the week at the hotel left mixed memories. Do you want to come to Turkey again? Yes, I really want to... But not in this hotel, unfortunately.
A hotel for families with children. There are no cons, I recommend it to everyone.
There are pebbles on the beach, I advise you to take special shoes with you in advance so that you can go into the sea without any problems, there is a panton 30-40 meters long, when there were big waves, you could swim without any problems by going down the forest. The only thing that bothered me was to carry beach towels with me (they are issued 1 time, they are not changed at check-in, only for a fee) and I would like free Wi-Fi (and it costs 1 euro per day). After the rest, there were pleasant impressions, the children ask for the next year in this hotel!
I'll start with the check-in - the young man at the reception offered to go to dinner, thank you, but after dinner he was not there, and the not very kind receptionist issued a card from room 461. My rule is to look at the room before checking in, but here I was tired from the road after a 3-hour delay in the Ural Airlines flight, so I went straight away with my things.
I didn’t like the room (quite decent in itself, with two beds, which is the standard of this hotel) right away - on the left is the highway, below the hum of air conditioners and the working entrance of the neighboring hotel (in the morning, by the way, it turned out that there was food delivery and garbage cans). I immediately returned to the reception, where there was already another receptionist, the same young man, and asked to change the room, but he said - come tomorrow. The next day after the information meeting, we went to the reception along with the hotel guide with the same request to change the room - again "come tomorrow". Maybe someone doesn’t care where to sleep, but I live in a quiet area in Moscow, so the presence of noise from the highway and the hum of air conditioners, as well as the clinking of plates from the restaurant from the early morning, did not contribute to rest. So, for two days I don’t unpack my suitcase, on the third day I’m again at the reception. I turn to the receptionist, he says - now the manager will come.
A young lady appears - with a menacing look and a question - why didn't you immediately turn to me? For the first time I hear that in order to change the number you need to demand a manager, now I will know. The lady spoke extremely unkindly, but since I had nowhere to retreat, I even offered money, although I understood that they would not take it - they seem to think of themselves as a European hotel, but they don’t take money for it))). They didn’t take the money, but I was ordered to come at 2 o’clock - and lo and behold, a room on the third floor overlooking the courtyard was found. I must say right away - then I came across this lady (a long-haired Turkish woman) a couple more times, I have never seen a more boorish treatment anywhere ((((- if you don’t like tourists, but in a particular case it seems to me - Russian tourists - leave your attitude at home or stay at home and don't ruin anyone's vacation.
For the first time on vacation, there was a desire to complain, but I didn’t want to completely spoil the mood, especially since there was someone to spoil it without it, more on that below.
The hotel itself is small, cosily planned, green - but nothing special, outwardly everything is very simple. There were a lot of guests, but somehow no one interfered with anyone, everyone was in his own corner. The only thing that bothered me was that in the morning there were already towels on the sunbeds (((. There are a lot of sunbeds in principle - but you still need to borrow in the morning ((((
The beach, as already mentioned here, is just a disaster: sand and cobblestones, people, if there are no shoes, move like lame ducks, and sometimes children are on all fours. I've been to many places in my life, but I've never seen anything like it. The water in the sea depends on the river flowing to the right, it can be cold, muddy. The entire coast is broken by piers of hotels that stand right next to it, so there is no panorama of the sea from the coast. But luckily we were very lucky with the weather, it was sunny - I spent all the time on the beach.
Animation at the hotel, despite the end of October, in full, but not annoying at all. quiet in this respect.
There is no Internet in the room, someone bought cards, but I had enough in the lobby, restaurant and by the pool.
For children - there is everything, food, chairs in the restaurant, strollers, swimming pools, slides, a children's corner and charming animator girls. I would not go here with a child just because of the beach.
Rooms are clean, cleaning is regular, minibar is free every day. Plasma TV in the room, lots of channels. I didn’t use the air conditioner, because it was cold at night, but they are old, I don’t know how they are in summer.
The hotel itself is absolutely European-style, calm colors, good smell, music.
The restaurant - everything is just fine here, the waiters are great, the cooks are all wonderful. The only thing I would pay attention to is the cleanliness of the plates. Yes, coffee from the machine is something ((((
Now about the sad - it's SPA.
I can’t say anything, because I didn’t get there, although I took special money with me for this, - a Russian (Ukrainian? ) girl explained to me very intelligibly - everything here is for the Germans, “don’t you see, today 200 people stopped by! And the Germans spend money on vacation! Naturally, I am not a person and my money is not like that - then let Barack Obama cry, since his national currency is not quoted in Spa Meriana)))) came up two or three times, but I didn’t find adequate time and attitude. Maybe for the better - after the girl’s phrase that “osteochondrosis is in the muscles”, I was afraid for my back))) Then I heard good reviews about massage in the neighboring Premium, it was cheaper and without national preferences, I had to go right away there.
In principle, it is not clear to me why the hotel is put on the Russian market - the Russians are not in business there.
At first I thought it was because of the crisis, they opened in Russia recently, but one Russian lady, who came for the third time, said that they first went here more than 10 years ago. The hotel has a slogan - "Home away from home" - for Russians it sounds like "ALIEN's home away from home". Merian positions itself as a European hotel, in terms of service, safety, etc. , it's true. But in Europe, I somehow did not come across the fact that everything is done for one nationality. In 2006, I was in Serapsu, also a German hotel, where everyone was on an equal footing, and the rest turned out to be lovely.
Now one more sadness - the contingent. I understand everything, October, the end of the season. I was in Spain at that time, there is also a lot of German social work - but not the same - the old, the sick, the downs, the disabled - the very thing for relaxation! ((((Hospice - as a vacationing compatriot put it. In this sense, it’s also a shame - we pay real money, and there the state pays, and the attitude is worse.
And I want to have a normal rest for my money, and not be in a European sump. In the end, I got the impression - a departmental sanatorium with a bias towards a nursing home. I don't know if it's always like this or if I'm just "lucky". I've read good reviews, it's called.
For the hotel administration, which will read this site, I’ll also say that you have been working for Russia for several years, decent people come to you, including women, okay, not everyone is required to speak Russian, there are quite a few people from the administration in the hotel , although for me personally with my two European languages, a philological education and ten or fifteen phrases in Turkish and that's a lot, somehow I never had problems - the staff turns to women "Hey friend! ". I understand they just don't know how to apply, but not the same way! I had to explain that a friend is a man, a girlfriend is a woman, but this is impolite. Better just - madam)))
In general - very sorry.
