I did not foresee such horror even for a 3 * hotel. Dirt, noise (especially at night) opposite the disco and "bass" hammer until 3-4 at night. The food is very poor, boorish staff (just start yelling). They are cleaned mainly on demand, the linen has never been changed, the Internet only works at the reception, and within a radius of 10-15 meters.

And a huge dominance of Arabs who come in whole buses for 2-3 days, then the next batch. Arabic speech is everywhere, they are very emotional, I speak loudly, with their own mentality, quiet horror, Russians on the strength of 5-6 numbers (they all clustered together, you can’t say otherwise !!! ). There wasn’t even soap in the room, we didn’t they did not bring it, as well as toilet paper, etc. One can only dream about a refrigerator! I will never go there, and I will not advise others!!!!! !

And once there was an omelet! And there was also an incident, my child doesn’t eat so early in the morning and they still gave cheap buns every morning! And I decided to take two buns with me for later! Come to me the cook came up and said that I would immediately put the buns back, he screamed like a beast! I explained what it was to the child, but he didn’t care! How can I take a piece of bread from a child? ! it seemed that it was heaven compared to that hotel!

I myself did not expect that such unpretentious people as we would want to quickly return home to Ukraine. . . Just the facts: Hotel: the rooms do not provide ventilation (even if there is a hole in the bathroom - the effect of "0") and in a closed room there is a terrible stuffiness and humidity that does not allow you to sleep. The administration turns off the air conditioners and forced to pay extra 5 euros per day for an air-conditioned room. The inconvenience is explained by the widespread shutdown in hotels from 15.09, but this is a pure lie, how much we were not interested even in hotels in 2 *. The room is as in the photo, it was cleaned daily, but the cockroaches are not touched (even in the dining room) At the receiption they politely smile at you, but apart from currency exchange and service for your money (by the way, the Internet via WiFi costs 2.5 euros an hour) they will not do anything . Let me explain: we were fed with a promise to relocate new neighbors until the day of departure (because the manager was only in the morning, and the Polish neighbors showed up in the evening). Therefore, if you have an adjacent door with a neighboring room, you should know that you live together. Food: for the week from 01.10. 12 to 07.10. 12 there was cottage cheese for breakfast only once, no butter and close - chopped margarine (trust my wife). Dirty eggs, the additions of which sometimes had to be waited for a long time from waiters with sour faces, were once even gray (cleaned already). Puff pastry cinnamon rolls in the last 2 days allowed to take 1 per person, with the words "Too many people". And they will not even hesitate to tell the girls about the ban on the removal of the latter. From drinks there are 3 tubs with milk, coffee and tea. Cold lemon and orange yupi tastes like sugary fermented jelly. All of the above is an unchanging and constant breakfast, and within a week my wife felt like she was in the movie Groundhog Day. For dinner, liquids are not given at all, in return - melon or watermelon, an empty tray of which can be taken away with the words "Too many people". Also had chicken, fish and meat in meat sauce for dinner. In principle, if you take a serving from a disgruntled ladle again, then a hearty dinner will come out for those who like to eat heartily. Sea and beach: go from the first time for 20-30 minutes, then, knowing all the passages, - 10 minutes to the beaches of other hotels, lie down where you like. . . The bottom of the coast is mainly in grass (algae), which is carried ashore in abundance, and if they are not removed, the smell will be appropriate. I hasten to upset those who like to swim: even 1 km from the shore, the whole bottom is also in the grass, at a depth of up to 5-6 m. I saw a couple of mollusks, hedgehogs, jellyfish with a basketball driving boats with "bananas" and claims "No swimming here! ". There is nothing to see and nothing to see. After a storm, the sea becomes gray-brown in color (like ours in Azov). Population: they are trying by all means to knock money out of tourists, they are afraid of thefts in local minibuses so that they go 5 times more expensive by taxi. Staring at women in shorts like they haven't seen the internet. . . Arrogant and sticky. Judge for yourself. . .

We had a desire to change the hotel even on the way from Hannibal Park to the main entrance - all flowerpots for flowers were peeling off and had not seen fresh paint for many years, the plants were neglected. Well, it's okay, there was more. Breakfasts are not just meager, but very meager: the same every day - boiled eggs of poor quality, margarine instead of butter, triangles of cheap processed cheeses and jam, and buns had to be guarded, as they brought 5-7 pieces and then a break for a new batch). There was not even a smell of cottage cheese or other dairy products, as well as vegetables, fruits, although they are very cheap in the country (a melon was bought for 1 dinar - this is 20 rubles, a watermelon for 2 dinars). The administrator of the restaurant, an elderly but very smart man, tirelessly darted between the tables, but did not serve, as one might think, but openly looked out for someone not to take an extra bun with them. And if someone tried to take this bun (there was simply nothing else to take, everything else was practically not edible), then they happily announced that they were running to write down 1 dinar on your account. For this he received the nickname from our compatriots "Mr. 1 Dinar".
Rooms: the tiles on the floor were peeling off, as well as the blue paint on the doorposts and cabinets, the air conditioner in all the rooms where our new acquaintances lived did not work a day. The freezer in the refrigerator is so full of ice buildup that it is not possible to close it. But the taps in the bathroom can be closed, but only by using male power, for women this is an impossible task, the curtains in the bathroom are all in the fungus, as, indeed, the tile. There are rusty smudges on the toilet, sink, bath, which we managed to get rid of only by poking the manager from the front desk, who quickly found the maids for additional cleaning.
Instead of animation for guests, the hotel area near the pool is periodically rented out for large family holidays of local residents, such as birthdays, with such noise and din that it is simply not possible for the guests staying there to relax at this time. This is probably why none of the Western tourists were there. There were only Russians and one night Arab families with many children, using it as a roadside motel and swimming in the pool in all the many black clothes - after that we didn’t even come close.
Before leaving the room, I threw things into a suitcase under the lock (there was no confidence in such a hotel), and my husband was too lazy, as a result, he stole a recharge for a gift electronic cigarette with a spectacular box.
In short, I have never seen a worse hotel, so we spent the entire time of our stay in an unequal struggle with our hotel guide to change the hotel, but it was useless, even the police had to be called to demand supporting documents from the hotel manager, the only way we could put the guest on the card hotel stamp. I had to draw up an official claim to the Moscow head office with demands for compensation.
In my opinion, this hotel is the best example of the worst Soviet sanatoriums such as Krasnaya Zarya or some kind of Oktyabr. If you don't want to spoil your holiday, I advise you to choose another hotel. We will definitely never go back there.

Do not go people to the Residence Kantaui for a walk! Good day to all! I just arrived from Tunisia and I hasten to share my impressions of the holiday with my compatriots. Let's start with the fact that I go to Tunisia 2-3 times a year for several years, I like this original country with a rich history. . I am very loyal to hotels - I had to live both in threes and in fives. And believe me, some three-ruble notes are very, very decent. So this time, they offered a last-minute trip to the three-ruble note and, within 2 hours, I packed my suitcase and was at the airport... It all started very nicely, the check-in was quick, the flight was not delayed, the mood is excellent - forward - to the sun and the sea! !! ! Hello, beloved Tunisia!! ! We quickly cleared customs at the airport, the transfer bus on the wings of the night drove me to my hotel (it was 3 am)…. And then it began... Hotel Residence Kantaui, 3 stars, in the heart of the entertainment life of Sousse. The hotel had no identifying marks. signals, not a single beacon was on. Night…. And silence…. Involuntarily I remembered Kramorov. . Well, hello ghost hotel. ! A little creepy, but we are not from the timid ten. . The hotel guide Victoria Pozhidaeva (Pegasus) also seems to have heard a lot of passions about the hotel, so she quickly invited me to go inside, nodded at me to the administrator and just as hastily retreated, nodding goodbye, like stay happily....The sleepy administrator “inflated the night light” and asked for my hotel voucher, studied it for a long time, then yawned and said that he would only check in at 12.0 in the afternoon... He spread his arms and went to bed on a dusty sofa in the lobby. Of course, I understood that these are the rules of the hotel and there’s nothing to be done, but it’s only 4 in the morning I want to sleep and take a shower... And all this is only at 12.0. Therefore, I decided to pass the time by talking with a sincere administrator, at the same time offering a small bribe, ugh, humanitarian assistance to him and his family, in exchange for a number... The American ruble bill had an invigorating effect on him, and when I, in addition, exchanged a couple of phrases with him in Arabic - he almost kissed me at all - tears of tenderness and universal love sparkled in his eyes... We go to the room-room like a room-well, the tile on the floor is peeling off, well, the door to the balcony does not open completely - let's exhale, draw in our stomach and slip... Well, the bath is not quite white, the water in the toilet runs and makes noise, it doesn’t go away at all in the sink... Some little things, tea of not blue blood, this is not the main thing and we didn’t go for this, I also have 2 tiles in the bathroom that have fallen off, I live... The main thing is a shower, a bed on a stone pedestal with even white linen, a toilet (and by this time it was a decisive criterion for me - you know - 6 hours of flying and 1.5 hours on trifles) I quickly said goodbye to the hospitable Arab and rushed to the white tiled miracle... Oopsss. Again, a stupor - I didn’t take the instructions for use - in principle, this is a white sanitary ware miracle, standing in the corner, very similar to ours from a distant scoop, BUT !!! ! On the one hand, it is almost close to the wall. . Maybe the Arabs process proceeds somehow differently? Maybe they have adopted a leg while raising it, like in dogs ?? ? There was no time to think - I got used to it - it turned out !!! ! Hurrah!! ! The first victory!! ! Naive, if I knew how many such victories will be ahead!! ! ok, let's leave the rest of the details of physiology and plasticity in vain. Long awaited shower and sleep!!! ! Yes, by the way, I arrived at 4 am, breakfast from 7.30 to 10.30. And my check-in is only at 12.0 It’s not possible to have breakfast in the morning, and it doesn’t matter, we’ll be slimmer, we’ll eat in the city. This I note Pegasus is a hitch so-and-so. . The morning met with rain and a storm - cool - I'm in Africa, albeit in the North, and it's raining! Palm trees bend-storm!!! ! Let the storm come on!! ! Let's not go to the beach today, let's go meet Victoria. I must say, Vika is terribly punctual - she was only 10 minutes late. . She quickly told me about the excursions, after I realized that I had climbed all over Tunisia up and down, her interest in me completely disappeared, again hastily said goodbye and left. Well, it's time for breakfast. By this moment the sky cleared up and the storm ended as quickly as it started. . . And the world around shone in all its splendor and billions of raindrops!! ! Beautyaaa!! ! Add to this the smell of strong aromatic coffee and the freshest pastries!! ! Looking at the snow-white yachts-ehhhh! And life is a success!!!! ! After walking around the city for a bit, I returned to the hotel, where I met wonderful guys from Pyatigorsk. They had a triple room booked, and the administration gave them a 2 + 1 room, and assured them that everything was fair... Everything would be fine, but my daughter is already big and it’s somehow not comme il faut to sleep on the couch... Yes, and the cost is different, as you understand…. Yes, God bless him, with this triple... The rooms have a gas stove and a refrigerator. The limit of dreams, right? Only the refrigerator does not open in any way, because the door is frozen tightly, and there is nothing to cook on the stove - one-time rent of a frying pan again implies humanitarian assistance to the administrator and his family... The question arises, why then stoves? Cooking in the palms Could have 1 saucepan and left in the room. . In the restaurant, we were lucky to meet another positive character of this hotel, the manager... Here you can say for sure about him, where HE has been, there is nothing for a Jew to do there !! ! I'm not offended by the comrades of other concessions, but this one is simply ubiquitous - like Figaro-Figaro there, Figaro here !! ! He is everywhere!!! ! I don’t want to remember breakfasts - I have never seen such meager ones anywhere - think for yourself - no cottage cheese, no pancakes, no fruits !! ! 1 egg, margarine, 2 croissants per person, triangles of Hochland type cheese, 1 type of jam and coffee-cocoa. Croissants take out pieces of 6-7, no more - and if the company is 5 people, 2 will not be enough for everyone... After a while they will be brought, do not worry, but for now enjoy your morning coffee without a croissant, but with pleasure. Moreover, our Figarov always looks into your mouth and plates, so that everything is honest - 2 croissants per brother... and not a crumb more. . If you want a 3rd croissant, give me 1 dinar. And in comparison, a melon on the market also costs one dinar. . Then we realized that Figaro had a one dinar tax for everything, no matter what. For which we dubbed him Mr. 1 dinar. Dinners at the hotel are not even bad, but with the addition, too strained, our vigilant Mr. 1 Dinar is on guard of your figure, and if you forget, he will kindly remind you. After all, Mr. 1 Dinar imposes portions himself - he always remembers who and how much he imposed. . And that you already 1 time approached for the supplement. I had the opportunity to meet with the boss of this hotel - not a very impression, it seems that he is deep-flying to the guests of the hotel - he inherited the hotel and he has another business, the main thing is that the hotel brings some kind of penny, but you can rent it twice. . How? Now I’ll explain... For the weekend, our enterprising owner manages to rent out the hotel area to local residents for weddings and anniversaries. It may seem exotic to someone to attend a real Tunisian wedding, but, I assure you, at 4 o’clock the sounds of the tambour no longer seem so melodic... And if you add to this that at this time you cannot go to the pool, because the event is being held just by the pool, it becomes not fun at all. And fall asleep under the vestibule and the cries of the guests will not succeed. . And don't try. . The only adequate people in the hotel are the administrator Karima and the maid Sophia. They do their job and even more - you can learn about everything firsthand. Sophia was spoiled for her work every day for 1 dinar, left on the bed, she wouldn’t take it on the bedside table. And Karima liked our Russian chocolate. Of course, the rest, no matter how they tried, they didn’t spoil us, everything is blocked by white sand and a stunning turquoise gentle sea, history, ruins, Carthage, an atmosphere of serenity, the smell of jasmine is dizzying, meeting with old friends, a riot of smells and colors in Medina! I won’t stop going to Tunisia, but I don’t go to this hotel anymore !!! ! If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer. PS-Yes, another fly in the ointment - get ready that you will solve your problems yourself - everything is parallel to the hotel guide Victoria Pozhidaeva, she does not want to spoil relations with the hotel administration or is afraid, so she tries to say something timidly, then she understands all the futility of the idea and quietly, in English, without saying goodbye, leaves, leaving you alone with questions... At best, she offers you to solve the problem with the seller of the tour, where you bought it. . What was a big discovery for me personally. . .

We rested in May 2011 with friends. I liked it very much. The hotel meets its C grade - there is no entertainment. But we relied on ourselves - we prepared dinners for ourselves (there is a kitchen in the rooms), went to the park, went on excursions, went to the port. The hotel does not have a separate beach, but there is a beach in the port.

The beach is not equipped with sun loungers, towels are not given to the beach, but the rooms are changed every day (for a bribe - we gave the maid a coin, she tried her best). sunbathed mainly in the hotel - there is a wonderful pool, sun loungers. The food was not very varied, but tasty - a lot of vegetables, one meat dish for dinner, wonderful cottage cheese was served for breakfast, I never ate tastier anywhere. Who loves to eat, get ready to buy your own groceries. But we had enough. Very friendly staff, but they do not speak Russian, you need to know at least a little English. There were mosquitoes one night, so you need to have a fumigator with you. In general, rest is what you create for yourself, and it doesn’t matter how many stars.
