white sand, blue water, but in fact it is an illusion, like much in this hotel

Good time everyone. We returned (08/09/2018) I want to write a review. I apologize in advance if my words offend anyone, but I really look at things and these are reviews about how wonderful this hotel is....
So, we flew with Azur, no complaints. Met by representatives of Anex. Everything is clear, no complaints.
The first thing you will be greeted at the entrance, when the doors to the hotel are opened, is a terrible smell. I don’t even know how to describe it more accurately... A musty, damp smell, partly reminiscent of the smell of a toilet. He is everywhere in the hotel. One has only to blow a breeze and that's it - the stench spreads through the air. And by the pool, and by the sea, and at the reception. Apparently, this is the specificity of the country, its smell.

Settlement. They settled in a normal room from the second time (no additional fee), although they probably counted on it. The room is standard, the furniture is old, plumbing, electrics, new TV, the air conditioning worked (we lived in the first building), which I can’t say about the rest.
In general, the hotel has been renovated, the owner seems to have changed, but COSMETICS repair with repainting the walls from yellow to white.
Our windows overlooked the right, deserted side of the hotel closer to the sea, the first building (the sea was around the corner) We didn’t need a sea view, we had two children 3-8 years old with us (those who know will understand)))
Cleaned daily, towels changed every day. Maids are adequate.
Restaurant. Food.......... for me and my family is the saddest topic. Over the past two years, we managed to visit 2 Turkish 5 star hotels with ultra all inclusive. Maybe this fact influenced my vision of this problem. I'll start with breakfast. The fact that breakfasts are not varied in all hotels is not news. It's the same here - sausages, boiled eggs, sliced potatoes, rolls, sliced flakes, rice with milk. But to get a portion of scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, you have to stand in line. On average, there are usually 20-30 people. Maybe someone has a desire to stand in line for an uncooked omelette))) The next line, consisting of 20-30 people, is a line for fried donuts....It's sad to watch, even humiliating, how our people are mixed with Arabs (who, by the way, behave impudently, gaining a lot of food and not eating it) toil behind a piece of fried dough. They take out 10 of them on one plate and there are not enough of them for everyone. The queue does not disappear.
About Arabs and queues in the canteen: twenty rams are waiting for one ram until he roasts a ram)
In order not to spoil our mood and not waste time, we did not stand in lines and chose what was freely available. As a result, the food came quickly.

Lunch and dinner were also almost the same. Side dishes are ALWAYS the same, without imagination: rice, pasta, potato slices, boiled vegetables (or boiled, stewed, casserole). Meat such as goulash (beef), stewed chicken, fish in 10 days, two varieties (battered and fried), two types of soup-puree. Vegetables and fruits of terrible quality. For a country where agriculture is the leading industry, yellow dry cucumbers and grapes that "died the day before yesterday". If you are not a gourmet and are used to eating the same thing every day, then you are here. People write that they simply ate. We are accustomed to eating tasty and varied foods of good quality. All unsalted food (one salt shaker with salt and rice for five tables) tastes the same. Eat just what you need to eat. Fruit is taken by people (especially Arabs, of whom there are a lot of people in the territory from Friday to Monday) with their hands. 10 peaches are pawed to take 1 single one and not finish it. The people behave like cattle. Everyone climbs somewhere, grabs them, they are afraid that they will not get it....The contingent in the hotel (I don’t want to offend anyone, but this is a fact) is very peculiar. If there is a cake, then you need to cut off half, shred it, do not eat it, but if only others do not get it. We tried to eat quickly and leave so as not to see this whole circus (((
Tea, coffee - Tunisian tea and coffee to try (to put it mildly) did not work out, there is only one coffee maker Karl, ONE in a huge hotel))) and that during the dining room, well, even in the lobby bar they can make coffee, two office coolers (one dining room, only during the dining room) for the entire hotel, make tea (in bags) and all this in disposable cups. People who have been visiting the Turks will understand me: coffee machines in each, EVERY room of the MMM hotel... what Turkish coffee....
The result is not tasty, queues, flies everywhere, dirty (dishes not washed)
The dining room staff is untidy, the clothes are worn out, the shoes are worn out, but in general they are polite and friendly.
Serving dishes - looked at the photo of 2013. of this hotel in the VK group on the tables are the same tablecloths Karl, the same tablecloths, burgundy red with yellow bedding))) (maybe these are national colors? ))) They clean the tables! No, they don’t clean it))) they turn the bedding over and brush off the crumbs, leftover food on the floor, and even then not always, basically it will do)))
Dishes - catastrophically there are not enough spoons in the hotel, you sit eating soup or yogurt, the waiter comes up and politely, so politely forgive your spoon when you are refused, stands aside and looks after you) and your spoon))) There are not enough glasses, glasses, coffee cups, All drinks are served in disposable containers.
The territory and the presence of the water park are the positive aspects of the hotel. The territory is large, but 30-40% of it is simply not used, there is little greenery (it seems to be there, but withered, dried up, yellow, sad looking) about eight old semi-abandoned tennis courts (I got the impression that they used to position themselves as a tennis base)

The hotel is divided into 2 zones, there is a 2nd reception, where they settle in a bungalow, where there is also another restaurant (about it later), it has its own fresh water pool and its own amphitheater.
The pools are the positive side of the hotel, they did not disappoint in this matter, The large pool with salty sea water (which was a pleasant surprise) The water park is good.
Animation - I also have a calm attitude to animation in the style of "village club presents". Compared to Turkish hotels, where animation is a strong point, there was no desire to look at animators dressed up in different clothes (depending on the program), we went to a mini disco (which is also an old hackneyed record in a circle every evening) went EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHILDREN
The sea... for the sake of which we were driving, we were not very pleased. If you have ever rested on the central beach in Anapa, then you will understand me. It's about the same here. Mud in the water is not the right word. Panties, diapers, bags, bags, bottles mixed with grass are floating near the shore, which no one removes from the water. People do not pay attention, cross the garbage heap and climb into the water. They came to the sea. Well, there were jellyfish, but not many. The water is very warm. The sea view was gorgeous, (from afar) white sand, blue water, but in fact, this is an illusion, like so much in this hotel.
The beach is a good “children of the desert are not enough” they ate bread not to the sea later)
There were always free sunbeds, the number of pools affected, well, probably jellyfish)
Merchants on the beach MINUS THE HOTEL, no one can and does not want to do anything with them, they are rare bores, they get them at tripod prices with their consumer goods, it’s strange, but I know all of them by name))) (how they got it) every day they go nagging, they bend over a sun lounger , buy, buy, buy. On occasion, hello to Lesha Vitamin-Bankrupt)))
Weather - The most interesting thing is that after arriving at the hotel, two days later it started to rain, which lasted for 4 days intermittently, so during the breaks everyone went out to swim.

Also a mistake of the hotel, because in bad weather there is nothing to do there. There is an old - broken-down slot machine hall, but there are 2 billiard tables and 2 air hockey (I threw a dinar two goals and hung)
I understand that this is a poor country and a 4 star hotel. And many will write that pay more and enjoy your vacation. And bad weather does not depend on the owner of the hotel... I understand all this. I am simply surprised by reviews like "it's almost 5 stars", "unforgettable vacation and delicious food". You have to look at things realistically. This is not 4 stars, but 3, and then with a stretch. The owner of the hotel saves a lot on business, buying low-grade raw materials for the dining room, hiring unprofessional staff, does not bother with the equipment of the rooms. If you are ready to turn a blind eye to this and pay money then go ahead and good luck.
I wish everyone at least once in their life to spend an unforgettable vacation in a 5-star hotel, and not go to such garbage dumps as this one!
