We rested at the end of October-beginning of November 2009. We were terribly afraid for the weather, but for the first time the days were cloudy, but the rest of the days were roasting very well.
I bought the tour in Kyiv, at the Lux-Tour agency. Initially, when choosing a hotel, I had the following difficult task: to choose a hotel of an unambiguously good level of 5 stars or 4 stars with reliable information. The manager Natalie helped me decide on the El Mouradi hotel.
Well, let's start... The meeting party is just great, NORD Travel amazed us. the best guides are local, not ours who work there, this is our own experience. Excellent organization of excursions, kind staff from the driver to the guide. Special thanks to our hotel guide Read, people like him should be greatly appreciated.

The location is wonderful and the hotel is not bad, the rooms are not rich, but clean. The standard room has a safe, a bath, a toilet, air conditioning, a TV with a Russian channel, no slippers and a bathrobe. Calm, pleasant, few Russians, friendly foreigners. The guys from the animation are just great, day and night they constantly lure with something and without coercion. In the evening, disco, first the German pensioners dance, and then they turn on normal music. In hotels, no one speaks Russian, except for Ali, (he works in the spa center) he helped us out more than once, so contact him, he learns the language himself and delivers the pleasure of communicating with the Russians.
The kitchen is like everywhere in Tunisia, not very salty, not very peppery, no spices, but always fish, several types of meat, salads, various side dishes, juice, cereal with milk or yogurt for breakfast, ice cream, pizza and pancakes are cooked in front of you, a lot of fruits, including dates, various sauces, tea and coffee.
The beach in Mahdia is something
there were enough trestle beds, towels, mattresses, who loves a beach holiday - there are all conditions, including water activities. The sea is clean, only a breeze every day, I didn’t see it calm at all, there were no jellyfish.
Well, now about the most important thing - about the Sahara. This is a real exotic. The 2 day tour was very interesting.
A visit to the second largest colliseum in the world, well-preserved, in the city of El-Jem, we visited the cave Berbers - troglodytes, saw the scenery for Star Wars, and the sunset in the Sahara, which we were taken to watch on a camel caravan, and riding in jeeps? ?? ? Our guide's name was Shokri, dressed in spectacular national clothes, he knows Russian very well, if he hits you, then you're in luck! All the way he told the life and customs of Tunisia. You have to feel it all yourself. The most interesting excursion. And not tiresome.
We also went to Carthage, visited the Bordeaux mosaic museums, were in the city of Tunisia itself.
The very life and culture of Tunisia is fascinating and interesting.
I want to go to Tunisia again, but I will not go to Mahdia, but to Sousse and I will definitely take a telass course.
