My first and last trip to Tunisia, Hammam
From October 12 to October 23, I rested in Hammamet, Safa Hotel.
A 3-star hotel, not expensive, but the location (distance to the sea and to the entertainment center of the city) is optimal. This is the only 3 star hotel on the 1st line from the sea. Near only 4 and 5 stars. Unfortunately, this is where its benefits end. Before him, I had never been to a hotel where they did not give shampoo and shower gel, and, surprisingly, there were no towels on the beach and by the pool. This is despite the fact that even the most unpresentable towel in their shops costs about 35 dollars, and they will throw off a maximum of 5-8 dollars (after 40 minutes of trading).
Hairdryer, safe and refrigerator are also missing. There is a TV, but for our arrival in all of Tunisia, for some reason, Russian channels were turned off, leaving only 4 - 3 Arabic and 1 Italian.

The food at the hotel is not very varied, but 3 stars will do. I was surprised by the food system at the hotel - upon arrival at the reception they give a card with a room number, you need to give it to the waiter in the restaurant, he will put this card on the table, perhaps on the outskirts (and the restaurant is just huge! ) And you will have to sit at this table all day . I was in hotels in Egypt, Turkey, Thailand - this is the first time I meet.
Tour service leaves much to be desired. The travel agency that hosted us in Tunisia offered about 4-5 tours, of which only a 2-day trip to the Sahara (about $ 180) and Carthage (about $ 60) is worth it, there is also an excursion to the zoo, but 2 times cheaper go by yourself, since from Hammamet there is about 20 minutes by taxi. Unfortunately, in Tunisia there is no system for selling excursions on the street, that is, there is no competition, which negatively affects the quality and quantity of services.
But there is nothing to do in Tunisia. In the morning the sea - fortunately the weather was excellent, the water is very warm, clean. Then lunch, a walk along the November 7 boulevard, you can go to the shops where the Arabs invite you, but there is nothing to see and buy there - unreasonably high prices, everything is absolutely the same, ugly and of poor quality.
The Arabs were unpleasantly surprised, we were told that Tunisia is more civilized than Egypt, since it was a French colony for a long time, but no. Constantly clinging to tourists, shouting after nasty things, they can even grab hands, in general, it’s not at all pleasant. But they don’t want to work, so they would sit all day, staring at tourists.
In the evening you can go to the Medina, this is such a center with shops and restaurants, but again there is nothing to buy. That's all. True, there is one discotheque in the city, but there are so many Arabs there that it is unlikely that any of the tourists would want such extreme sports.
So all day long - the sea, food and a walk along the boulevard on November 7 (half an hour there and back at a slow pace).
Such a resort for pensioners and parents with children.

By the way, I advise tea and coffee lovers to go there only with a boiler and their own bags. Tea and coffee are poured everywhere into some beakers of 50 grams, and water is poured from the tap (they say that you can drink it like that), and it has a salty taste. And for some reason, they have a tension with boiling water, drinks are always barely warm, they didn’t bring hot drinks in any bar or restaurant. Such a barely warm, salty tea. Can you imagine what a mess?
By the way, October is winter for them, the season is already over, although the weather is wonderful, not hot, but the water is still warm.
