I won’t say how it is in Russia, but in Ukraine this shop is closed and information about changing the surname and passport is immediately visible ... I know a girl who was turned up at the airport ... In Ukraine, you can make a foreign passport in 7 days officially for an additional fee.
аватар Natali_NN
And the air tickets, too, were bought for the old surname? They write that it is important that the surname in the tickets and the passport be the same. In the Russian Federation, you do not show your Russian passport anywhere.
аватар moy_contakt
Air tickets are of course an important point, but there is also a border control at the airport. I know people who, up to a certain point, calmly flew on vacation after changing their surname and internal passport, but for a year now, for sure, and perhaps even more, they see all the information on control, and if there was a change of surname and passport, then there are no options (in Ukraine). There is an option when a girl, getting married without changing her passport (30 days is given for this matter), goes on vacation, and upon arrival changes her internal and foreign passports. Check on the spot, maybe it will be cheaper and calmer for you to make a foreign visa in an accelerated version (I'm sure that this can be done in Russia as well). And to make changes to the tickets .... it depends on which tickets, there is where the tariff provides for the replacement of data, there is where with a fine, but there is also a completely economy tariff where cancellation (I met this only in the cheapest tickets, but it was). In general, check, consult. It is strange that this moment bothered you only now, and not before buying tickets ...
аватар moy_contakt
Natali_NN we also don’t look at our internal passport anywhere when crossing the border, but the border guard sees all the information.
аватар ollennka
Comrades, there are no problems with this in Russia. If the surname on the tickets and in the passport matches, you can fly to visa-free countries using the old foreign passport calmly until its expiration date.
Nobody turns anyone. Mashuncheg, have a great honeymoon!
аватар Mashun4eg
Tickets have not been purchased yet. The bottom line is that since the passport will be done on the periadenitis of the holiday weekend, there is a chance that they will not be in time. Departure is planned in the first days of February, and the data for issuing a ticket must be provided 2 weeks before departure.
аватар ollennka
To be honest, you have a lot of time. The deadline for issuing a passport is 1 month, and it does not matter how many holidays fell on this month.
But even if it’s just too lazy to bother with all this before the honeymoon, there’s nothing wrong with that. Take tickets for your maiden name and fly with your old passport. Of course, the right way is a timely replacement when changing a surname and a foreigner as well. But the paradox is that the databases on internal and foreign passports each live their own independent lives. Therefore, there are no problems when crossing the border with a maiden name.

Thank you :) we'll try to catch it then :)

Contact the travel agency where you are going to take a ticket for information. But it’s still possible to make a foreign visa and it doesn’t cost a million money to worry about being missed / not missed.
аватар ollennka
You definitely don’t need to worry, because everyone is let through. And the level of knowledge of employees of Russian travel agencies, unfortunately, with rare exceptions, is very low.
On the forum "the one whose name we do not name" there is an extensive thread on this topic, the author, you can read it.

In Russia, absolutely no one will stop. They only have databases of malicious non-payers of alimony and loans, and even then they are incomplete. And in Tae, no one needs your last name. Fly and rest easy. I don’t know about Ukraine, but if there is such an ambush, then this is just the idiocy of local bottling. I understand, change your surname if the old one is in the database of travel restrictions and try to fly away under a new "nickname". And who bothers the old one if it is clean? No one needs an internal passport on a trip. In general - a happy holiday! Everyone is good...
аватар lazy_person
After receiving an internal passport (general civil with new data), it is necessary to change the Passport.
аватар moy_contakt
JeryLee which means "the idiocy of local bottling". These are correctly executed documents, and as soon as a person has changed his surname, then all identity documents must be brought into line. The fact that there are such moments of loopholes is actually not good, because at the time of leaving the country a person is traveling with invalid docks, though only the owner of these docks knows about this, and perhaps those who travel with him. This is absurd. I also consider it absurd the impossibility of simultaneously submitting docks to replace internal and foreign passports, but here, alas, our realities ... When traveling with such docks, there can be different moments, the simplest of them is the occurrence (God forbid) an insured event. If everything worked out and everything was done for you abroad, then ok. And if the continuation is already on the territory of the country of residence, then nothing is compensated. I will not go into other points (transportation of the body, etc.) everyone always expects that everything will work out and usually it happens.

You have 30 days to change your passport. In this case, we are talking about an internal document. To this must be added another term for issuing a passport. But you can go on a trip immediately after the wedding - according to the old documents, which, according to the law, will be valid for a whole month. Then, upon returning, it will be possible to calmly change all the documents.

It is better not to test the case, but to change your passport at an urgent rate. This is a general requirement. The surname has changed, all documents, not only the international passport, must be brought into line with the new personal data.
аватар Natali_NN
Replacing a passport when changing a surname through the State Services Column: Passports, registrations, visas The validity of a passport is from 5 to 10 years, depending on the sample. Due to the fact that you often have to change your passport, early replacement due to a change of surname is an optional condition. However, if a citizen plans to travel to a country where a visa is required, the passport will have to be changed before the expiration date. An exception is a trip to countries with visa control. If the visa in the passport with the former surname has not yet expired, there is no need to change the foreign passport.

Read the question carefully. The girl already has a new surname and a new civil (internal) passport.

my_contact. I just expressed my personal opinion on this matter. And it is different from yours. And it's not scary at all. No need to prove here that two times two is four. All this is presented. I have been to 41 countries and now I continue to travel with different visas and without them at all. I am not saying that there is no need to change the documents at all. Necessary. But in order not to spoil your nerves and not tear your ass because of this, you can also fly on an old passport. ALLOW IT'S ONLY. But if you count on an accident and insurance, then you need to stay AT HOME, and not climb the devil somewhere in the world ... This is again my personal opinion. Everyone is good!
аватар ollennka
Friends, what do personal opinions and practices of other countries have to do with it? There are no "general requirements". There is Russian legislation that obliges to change documents within 30 days after changing the name. Moreover, if a person is late with the exchange of an old passport, it does not become invalid, you can travel abroad with it. For violation of the deadlines, you can only get a fine of several thousand rubles (depending on the timing of the delay). But in reality, the border guard does not see information about the change of surname in the database, so the probability of even this fine tends to zero.
аватар Natali_NN
lazy_person Yes, I seem to understand this and in the first post I wrote that there is no need to change the foreign passport, the need arises only when visiting a visa country, and I inserted the excerpt in full, because I think that in such matters it is better to focus not on opinion, but on legislation. And we have everything that is not forbidden, it is allowed ...
аватар ollennka
An internal Russian passport also does not become invalid if you are late with its replacement, no matter if it is due to a change of surname or age. At the age of 20, I did not have time to change my passport, I overstayed it for about a year. From this, my passport did not become invalid, I continued to travel on it and be serviced in state institutions, but then, of course, I could not avoid a fine.

Do you have to change your last name when you get married?
аватар JeryLee
On an expired internal one, it was impossible to fly by plane (they did not sell tickets) and they were not allowed to enter sensitive facilities. They passed... We traveled by train and issued temporary orders... It was also possible to fly away with a certificate of loss of a passport... If it was urgently necessary...
аватар ollennka
I didn’t have to fly on airplanes at that time, but I calmly traveled on trains, the cashiers and conductors had no questions.
аватар JeryLee
Because under the Railway Union, tickets were depersonalized. :-) Only Avia were with surnames and demanded a passport.
аватар ollennka
JeryLee, well, I'm not that old)))) I turned 20 already in this millennium))).
аватар veritasana
ollennka... apparently I'm older...
аватар JeryLee
Olenna. I envy you white-white envy. ;-) I'm already 40+ in this millennium and then everywhere...

JeryLee And if I fly to Thailand after marriage, the 29th day falls from the date of marriage. I do not have time to change Russian and foreign, respectively, too (ng holidays). With foreigners, I realized that they did not know that I had changed my last name. I don’t take Russian with me, but do they have a registry office base, maybe the registry office submits data to the Ministry of Internal Affairs? In fact, at the time of departure, I do not violate the 29th day, but when I return, I have already overstayed 30 days for a replacement. Thanks in advance for your reply.
аватар Natali_NN
Yes, in general, it is your business whether to change your passport, maybe you do not plan to change your last name at all. Hard deadlines only after reaching a certain age.
