Boat excursion to the islands of Koh Hong and Bond from Krabi, Phi Phi or Phuket. And glowing plankton at Shell Fossil Beach, Krabi (Ao Nang)
Is there such an excursion to two of these islands at once - Koh Hong and Bonda? Is it possible to take her closer to dinner and immediately set sail, and not in the evening for the morning? Maybe there is the possibility of a private boat rather than a group tour? And so as not to get up twice) - Has anyone seen the glowing plankton on Shell Fossil Beach, Krabi (Ao Nang)? What does the glow depend on? From the phase of the moon?

Sailed to Hong from Ao Nang. There is a great trip, I would not combine it with anything. The outer beach of Hong, the "inland sea" in the center of the island and then rest on some island nearby. Swim far, there are private boats, of course, we took a long tail. And the private sails when you want, if only there was time to return to the mainland.
Keep in mind that since mid-May the weather in that region is already changeable, there is a sudden storm and downpour. We got into one on the way back from Hong, the waves are huge, the shower is a wall, nothing is visible around, and we are on this decrepit piece of wood, kilometers from the coast. Say goodbye to life :)

Thank you! We are planning in December.
From the very beginning, I only wanted Koh Hong. But then I saw Bond Island and I really need to go there)) But I can only take one exit from Ao Nang, there is no more time. All distributed already)

Dear Apyatka
Alas, Bond Island is already so trampled that only memories remain of it! I would not advise.

Definitely Hong! Just do not forget that this is a nature reserve and you need to leave it before 16:00
But it's not so easy to "make" plankton glow :)
contact Krabi SJ - www.krabiguiding.com - they will advise! The guys have been living there for a long time and organize excursions officially. We went from them just to Hong on a speed boat - we liked it very much!

Any guys "who live there for a long time and organize" put the price tag twice as high as it is worth taking from the locals right on the pier of Ao Nang without intermediaries.

Yes, I agree with the opinion above that Father Bond is no longer a cake.

Having considered the issue from all sides, I decided to go from Phuket to the city of Phang Nga (this is already the mainland), and from there take a boat to Bond Island, with a stop at other islands of Ao Phang Nga Bay. One of these islands is called Hong. It seems to me that this is a different Hong, not the one they carry from Krabi. But, since I definitely don’t plan two sea trips, I stopped at Ao Phang Nga Bay, it resembles the Vietnamese Ha Long Bay.
Here's what I learned about plankton:
1. When plankton breeds, it glows more brightly. When exactly it reproduces, no one suggested. Needs to be tested experimentally
2. The glow is clearly visible on a dark night, that is, it should be close to the new moon)
3. Shell Fossil Beach consists of rocks (this is prehistoric plankton turned into stone), you need a powerful flashlight so as not to get hurt.
4. In principle, if plankton glows, it can be seen on all beaches where there is no lighting.

About "organize excursions." I rarely take ready-made excursions. And almost always dissatisfied with them. Therefore, everything is on its own))
