Go to Tai don't listen to anyone. They go there with babies. No fried cockroaches. Normal food. There are many quiet places in Pattaya. If you want exotic, go to the center in the evening if you feel like it. The sea in Pattaya is really unclear, but people swim everywhere. As for civilization - either by taxi or minibus 15-20 minutes to Lamai. It is easier to take a jeep for the entire period of rest.

I traveled with a child for 1.5 months (almost a year and a half) alone! Na Koh Chang. True for three weeks. I don't see any problems. This is paradise for a child, and even more so for an adult. From my tom pit he ate all the shrimp, mango, pineapple, everything! And we have rickets in children here .... When it's -20 in Kyiv, why not? Charged by the sun, the sea, vitamin D! I flew with a stroller and food, but it was not useful, absolutely everything can be bought on the island! The road - the little one sleeps mostly on the plane, if I didn’t sleep, I went to the toilet to the emergency exits so as not to disturb the passengers. Then another by car for about 4 hours, by ferry, again by car and in place. Had a great rest. Now he is almost 8, he has been to Spain twice and to all the sights, he has been to Sri Lanka twice, including in Kandy and on a safari. This year we are planning Africa Tanzania safari. Do what works for you and everything will work out! And yes! Thailand is a very civilized old, with developed medicine (definitely better than ours).
