Please help me develop an interesting route in Asia
Dear forum users, I ask for help in developing an interesting route through Asia. The first such trip was carried out in May of this year along the route: Singapore-Phuket-Bangkok. It just so happens that we have complimentary Emirates tickets for the Dubai-Bangkok flight or another itinerary that matches this fare. I ask for help in choosing countries and fascinating places to visit. I have already considered options for Vietnam, Malaysia, Cambodia, Bali, but I still don’t know how to finalize the route.

Duration: 10-12 days. In Asia, we plan to use the carrier AirAsia. Thanks in advance!

Good afternoon. In February 2016, we traveled this route: we arrived for 3 days in Phuket (on Katya), then for 3 days in Phi Phi, then for 3 days in Krabi, returned to Phuket (to Karon) and from there to Malaysia (there are more than two days nothing to do). Thailand is the best. You get tired of moving, but it's worth it!

Hanoi (2 days) - Ho Chi Minh City (2 days) - Phnom Penh (2 days) - Sihanoukville (seaside vacation - 2 days) - Siem Reap (2 days) - Pattaya (2 days)

I would include Cambodia for sure. We really liked Malaysia, categorically disagree with the opinion of previous authors that there is nothing to do there for more than two days. We liked the island of Langkawi. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh for an amateur (losing half a day in endless traffic jams? Transfer 120 km 6.5 hours)? I would choose the North of Thailand-Laos-Cambodia and rest in Sihanoukville by the sea.

Ahaha, guys, how can you decide in two days that there is nothing to do in Malaysia? This is a huge country with a bunch of attractions, on the microscopic Langkawi alone there are activities for 5 days.

10 - 12 days is catastrophically short. Is there any way to extend the trip? This option: Bangkok - Krabi (5 days) - Bangkok (air) - Pattaya (bus) 5-7 days, including 2 day trips to Cambodia and, say, to the Kwai River.

10-12 days is not the number of days that should be divided into a large number of places ....
I would suggest the following vacation option .... but we travel at least 15-18 nights ... Bangkok (2n) - Pattaya (5n) - Siem Reap (3n) (Cambodia) - Ho Chi Minh City (2n) - Vung Tau (4n )....this is of course running....but if you have such an idea....From Bangkok to Pattaya by bus, from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau on a comfortable minibus - in 2.5 hours in each city there is something to see... We have visited all these cities...
Or you can visit Bangkok-Pattaya-Kuala Lumpur-Borneo ... or Langkawi ... 3 n for each ...
Choose YOU!!! I love Southeast Asia ... there is so much positive energy and wonderful places where the soul sings directly from pure energy ... personally, I would go along the first route I proposed ... I sincerely wish YOU a great train and a sea of u200bu200bbeautiful positive emotions

Thank you all very much for your advice. Bangkok was disastrously disliked. There is no desire to return there. Pattaya confuses with a large number of tourists from the former Soviet Union and a relatively dirty sea. A preliminary route began to emerge little by little: Kuala Lumpur (3n) - Phuket (5n) - Siem Reap (3n). The question remains how to get from Siem Reap on your own to Angkor Wat or where to buy an organized tour to the temple complex in Siem Reap.

Sorry, and there is one more question. In principle, Pattaya could be replaced with a seaside vacation in Sihanoukville and at the same time add a visit to Phnom Penh, but please tell me, again, how to get there from Siem Reap. AirAsia does not see a connection between these two cities, so I'm looking for an alternative. Thanks a lot!

Cambodia Angkor Air flies from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville (KOS)....price tag around $220...look at those https://www.skyscanner.ru !!!!!

If I were you, I would leave Kuala Lumpur for 2 days, and add one day to Cambodia. And if it’s absolutely right, then I would fly Malaysia-Cambodia with an excursion and with a rest at sea, but unfortunately I can’t tell you about moving.

In Siem Reap, find a tuk tuker (there are a lot of them) and he will take you to temples for $ 15 a day. No guide is needed! I advise 3 days to all the temples and 1 day to Tonle Sap Lake. There are night buses from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville (sleeping bass and wanted bass) lying down. So it is quite possible to sleep through the night on the road. You should not visit Phnom Penh, there is absolutely nothing to do there
