It feels like the Russian government is trying to make an iron curtain, scaring its residents with trips abroad. Personally, I live here for a long time and no one threatens me. It's peaceful and calm here.

If you follow the logic of the authors of such questions, then you can not leave the house at all, although this does not guarantee 100% security. What if there's a bomb in the basement? Living in Russia is much more dangerous than in Thailand, anyone who has been there will confirm this.

About Thailand. It has never been very safe. One of our trips fell just in time for another mess, we even had to change plans and the route along the way - we stayed longer at the resort, we didn’t even stop at Bangkok on the way back, we went straight to the airport in a taxi along the “district” one. And not in vain. In the center of Bangkok, people died then, including tourists from different countries. Another time in Krabi (Muslim south of Thailand) on Ao Nang, on the pier, everyone arriving by sea was greeted with huge words "fuck israel", also a life sketch.
Another question is that all this has nothing to do with either the Russians or the Russian Federation. They have their own problems and disassemblies, the life of farangs does not really bother them.

Yes, there are troubles in any country, the question is whether it is profitable or not to inflate the news of the day out of this. In London, and in Europe, more than once or twice there were terrorist attacks.
Unfortunately, the actual display of events is rare. Mass media will do everything so that people are chained to the telly and do not think about problems within the country. This is IMHO.

Yes, the iron curtain, cleaner than the Soviet one, seems to be sinking lower and lower. It's unfortunate.
