tell me which island is better to go in early May with a child of 7 years
tell me which island (Koh Chang, Koh Samui, Phuket, Koh Kood, Krabi, etc.) is better to go in early May with a child of 7 years old. We were on Koh Chang, I liked it very much - a very good beach, a gentle slope to the bay, a swing over the water, a heavenly place. You can go there again, I want a quiet beach holiday, so that there is less storm, and also sometimes see the sights (an interesting excursion)

In May, Koh Samui or Koh Phangan is better - the weather will be good only there. Be sure to combine the two islands - you won't regret it! Look at my review, there is about Phangan too.

At this time of the year from the islands - Koh Samui, Tao, Koh Phangan.
I would choose Koh Samui as a "base", with trips to the other two islands.
We also repeatedly visited the May holidays in Krabi (Ao Nang), although it is not quite the season that counts. The weather was also excellent, a strong and short downpour was caught only once, there were no storms. Nature in Krabi is second to none! But there are nuances in choosing a beach.

Packok, thank you!
Could you share your nuances for choosing a beach in Krabi? :)

With pleasure. The most popular beach is Ao Nang, which is where tourists usually go from Krabi Town Airport. A great place to live - lots of hotels for every taste, inexpensive food, a beautiful promenade ... but the sea is not suitable for swimming - shallow, muddy and very long low tides. Long tails are also parked there, on which people swim on Railay and Pranang to swim. These are two good beaches, which are located on a small peninsula separated from Ao Nang by a mountain, you can only get there by water. There are also hotels there, but the situation is reversed here - the beaches are good, but the infrastructure is not normal. We usually chose Ao Nang as our base, from there we went on excursions, and swam to Pranang for swimming.
In general, the province of Krabi is large, the island of Lanta also includes the Phi Phi Islands.
The most stunningly beautiful place that I saw in Thailand is Hong Island (also swam from Ao Nang), but there, God forbid, there are no hotels.
