For citizens of Ukraine, visas can be purchased at Bangkok airport
аватар Oleksii64
For citizens of Ukraine, a visa at the airport is 15 days. To obtain a visa for up to a month, you need to contact the Honorary Consulate of Thailand in Ukraine - you must attach a certificate of employment and it will cost not 30, but 40 dollars.
Some TO sell tours for more than 15 days and, accordingly, help with visa processing.

There is another nuance: the visa that is stuck at the airport for 15 days (VOA) can be extended for 7 days right in Thailand at the nearest immigration office. The cost of the service is 1900 baht.
If you want to travel to Thailand on your own or learn more about it, I recommend specialized forums, there are a lot of sensible tips and direct links to resources with low-cost flights. Links can be thrown in a personal, on the truth, one mention of these forums leads to deletion :-)

1900 baht - 65 dollars! And there will be no questions at passport control: a visa for 15 days and a return ticket in twenty days?
I don't think it's the best option.
аватар Viltis
Will not arise. You can extend your visa right there. In BKK. This time, and secondly, this is a good insurance option for a 14-day tour to the islands. You never know .. not always a plane from the island will arrive at the right time, but here is the option to extend the visa.
аватар Oleksii64
I didn’t understand something ... “the plane from the island does not always arrive at the right time” - if it doesn’t arrive, it’s a complete well ... - tickets to Kyiv disappear! - lay out another 500-600 dollars. for a return ticket? Or offer to go without a return ticket? Among other things, there will definitely be questions at passport control.
Extension on the spot goes: 30+65=95 USD. Registration in Kyiv-40, and nothing in Tae hurts my head.
аватар Viltis
Tickets are not lost, you recompose them. For extra money.
Alexey, are you a tourist? Or a travel agent?
аватар Oleksii64
Yes, I'm a tourist...
аватар Oleksii64
P-sy-minus is not mine.
аватар Viltis
So I'm not saying anything :-) I just asked. It's good to be a tourist :-)
аватар Waldi
Viltis visa is not glued, but stamped for 15 days =) You can extend the permitted period of stay in the country by contacting the nearest stationary office of the immigration police of the Kingdom, as you correctly noted earlier.

Thank you all for your answers. If you apply for a visa in Kyiv, do you need to go there with the whole team, including children, or is it enough for adults only? Viltis, skinte, please links to the forums.

If we proceed from the fact that TO issue visas at consulates without the presence of a tourist at all, then it will be enough for one person to go with a package of documents for all.

There is another option, if you are planning an excursion to Cambodia for 2-3 days, then when you re-enter Tai after the excursion, you are again given a visa for 15 days (regardless of which day of your stay in Thailand on the first visa you left).
аватар Oleksii64
Lina, the option with Cambodia was discussed several times, but something is not quite smooth there, can someone say that he had such an option?
I SUGGEST such "ambushes":
1 Passport control at the airport: visa 15 days, ticket after 20 - can you explain what is the matter and will they agree with you?
2 The visa itself when entering from Cambodia, are there any restrictions on it (say, re-entry to Thailand in three months, or the continuation of the old visa, or some other cartoon)?
аватар Lina23S
At the airport at customs, the main thing is to present a ticket and a hotel reservation, and you can always explain that you plan to leave the country during your vacation and enter back.
In the case of leaving Thailand on an excursion to another country, a similar tourist visa is issued on return for 15 days from the date of the last entry. They write about this when describing any programs, it doesn’t matter Cambodia, Laos, Burma, Malaysia, I’m thinking for myself what else I can see on my next visit to Thailand and, of course, I’m also interested in the visa issue.

Polina200075 threw off :-) Please :-)
аватар Polina200075
Viltis, thank you!
We are going to Cambodia, but not with a full team, so this option is not suitable.

Citizens of Ukraine on the border with Cambodia issue a re-Entry, that is, you freeze your visa received at the airport.
If you do not do this, then you will not be allowed back in, you will have to go to Phnom Penh and get a new visa at the Thai Embassy.
The information was updated as of August 16. 2012 21:21 Bangkok time.
P.S.
Tell me, when was Re-Entry canceled for citizens of the post-Soviet countries?
Re-Entry costs 1000 -1050 baht.
аватар Oleksii64
As expected, not everything is so simple with the return entry (according to the length of stay). If you really chew this question:
1 When returning from Cambodia, a different visa is issued (marked in the passport) as at Bangkok airport.
2 If the visa is, say, from 1 to 15, and I was in Cambodia for 2 days from 10 to 12, then I should not leave on 27 (12 + 15) and not on 17 (minus 2 days in Cambodia), namely on the 15th.
Is this schedule correct?
аватар Pattaya-Tours
Re-Entry makes your visa valid when you leave Cambodia, it is not cancelled. But Re-Entry does not freeze your Thai visa. That is, how many days you were given at the airport - so much remains upon returning from Cambodia, or any other country.
аватар Polina200075
Thank you all! We resolved the issue with a visa without leaving Kharkov.
аватар Oleksii64
Polina, if possible, tell us more.
аватар Polina200075
$50 one-time, $60 two-time. Issued by the agency through which the tickets were booked.
аватар Oleksii64
Sure, that's exactly what I assumed.
аватар svtol
and if we buy tickets ourselves? Does anyone know how to issue visas?
аватар svtol
"Persons who have arrived in the Kingdom in accordance with the above rules (i.e. tourists who have received a visa at the airport) cannot apply for an extension of the period of stay in the country (except in cases of illness). An application can be made at the Immigration Service www.immigration. go.th" - an extract from the consulate
аватар Polina200075
Wrong - two times - 90 dollars.

I received a letter from Kyiv:
If you want to apply for a visa to Thailand for more than 14 days, then you will be offered a one-time tourist visa. Necessary documents:
· Questionnaire (in English) - we fill in ourselves, we only need your personal data
· 2 photos (3.5 x 4.5)
· Certificate from the place of work or study (if available)
· Passport (valid for at least 6 months, at least 2 free pages)
· Certificate from the bank on the account balance or traveler's checks (not less than 20,000 baht (650 USD) per person or 40,000 baht (1300 USD) for the homeland)
· Round trip ticket fully paid (copy)
· A copy of health insurance
The child still needs a birth certificate. If the child is traveling with one of the parents - a power of attorney to remove the child from the other parent.
Term of registration: about 5 years
Visa is issued for 30/90 or 60/180 - this is the decision of the embassy.
Cost: $ 60 - Adult, $ 40 - a child
