If you have been to Turkey and Egypt, you will be shocked by the service. And to see, Kwai, mini Siam, Nong Nooch, be sure to go mini Siam in the evening. The flight of the gibbon is a thing. You don’t have to go to kolan, the same garbage as in Patai, it’s better to Samet, if finances allow, then Phi Phi noi.

Well, yes, mostly Turkey and Egypt))) I've already heard about the service! it's not scary, it's just that there is so much information here that your head is spinning! Of course, I would like to see more culture, but also have fun on the beach too. Also, I see that it’s better not to take anything for less than 12 days, you won’t have time) So it’s better to go to the islands right away (then you can take excursions from there?) Or for the first time to Potaya?

I liked the combined tour of Pattaya + Koh Chang + Bangkok. There are a lot of interesting excursions from Pattaya and they are much cheaper than from Bangkok or from the island, the island is a clear sea, nature waterfalls, Bangkok is excursions and shopping. Go to Amir1 http://my.turpravda.ua/Amir1/ write him a letter in a personal, he lives and works in Pattaya, can help with hotels, transfers, excursions, get cheaper than a travel agency. I will send you his website in PM (they will erase it here) there are hotels with prices, excursions from Pattaya with prices. Take a maximum of 15 days anyway at a time in this country to see everything is not realistic. If you want to visit me in a personal, see pictures from excursions and the island. Yes, bring money in large denominations, there the rate depends on the denomination, the highest is $ 50 and $ 100, change in the city in exchange offices, at the airport and hotels the rate is worse.

For the first time impressions will be enough from Pattaya alone. + 1) The cheapest tours - more money for excursions, 2) Abundant excursion - see the country and next time you will imagine what you like and where to go. Koh Lan Island is not bullshit-good beaches-40min. by ship. On excursions, the choice is huge - from free to Cambodia, Vietnam and Hong Kong. There are two types of excursions in Tai - very good and very, very good :))) See what is more interesting for you, 12 days is not enough - take a tour as long as possible ) - It will not be boring. The service is not shocking-sufficient!

Thanks for the useful information!)

Yes, not at all, it’s good for you to relax.)))) Take things to a minimum, and a bigger suitcase.)))
аватар Smoliynka
Thank you))) Lina, but tell me through Amir, you can completely organize the rest?
аватар Smoliynka
))) and one more thing, if it doesn't make it difficult... I heard that 5* hotels and food all make no sense to take! Tell me how it goes with this?
аватар Lina23S
It’s possible and completely through Amir, there’s no point in fives, they take triples but normal, well, a maximum of four on the island, All is not for this country at all, you just bind yourself with this, the food industry is so developed there that it’s simply not possible to die of hunger really, the tastiest and cheapest food on the street is near Makashnikov, these mobile cafes do not look very presentable, but it is absolutely safe to eat there, in my opinion the only dangerous place in terms of food in Thailand is Russian restaurants, and at Makashnikov, the Thais themselves eat and work on the same place from grandfather great grandfather. Almost every street has a lot of cafes and hawkers with different food, I really liked Tom Yum soup with seafood, fried rice and racial noodles with shrimp, and all sorts of skewers and squid on the grill at macarons.
A huge variety of fruits are sold both whole and already peeled and chopped.

I highly recommend breaking your vacation into an excursion part and staying in Pattaya, a week is enough (it’s better to take excursions from locals - it’s cheaper, Russian guides work with them, who actually lead excursions, choose an agency near the hotel based on reviews, but don’t delay with a choice , because excursions are scheduled by day). Look at Tai and fly away to Koh Samui, now this is the best place, I highly recommend it (Phuket is more developed, but more dirty and crowded). From the beaches for the first time, choose either Chaweng (party, but the most expensive), or Lamai (quieter, but also nothing and cheaper). Usually they offer Bangkok at the end, take it. There is good shopping (go to Siam Paragon), go to the survey.

It’s better to chat with Amir via Skype, it will be easier to decide on the excursion program, Anatoly will be happy to help you compose it, but upon arrival, immediately buy a local SIM card to contact him, because. from our exit a little different, and when I was in Tae I started calling from "Beeline" through "0", there was naturally no connection !!! After meeting with the hotel guide and ordering the main excursions, I found out that I had to call 66. By the way, prices on the street can be found cheaper than those of Amira. Be sure to visit R. Kwai. To be honest, 12 days were not enough for us to go where we wanted! budget - Inessika73 offers a great option.
аватар Smoliynka
thank! Now at least the picture is clearing up))))) and you can roughly sort the price))) if you go in the second half of January, for example, according to the Inessiki option. And is it possible to go to Tai on a hot one (3 days to buy) or is it better in advance?)
аватар Lina23S
The risk is a noble cause, but not always justified, look at the difference in prices and what hotels offer on last minute. Often, either not very successful hotels remain on the last minute, or the location of the hotel is not very good, far from the tuk tuk and the center.
аватар Smoliynka
is there a difference in january or february?
аватар Lina23S
No high season from December to March. There are a lot of tourists there during these months, I booked one hotel on the island in early November, only the most expensive rooms remained, I had to take a neighboring one. Everything that is cheap and well raked out quickly, then you choose from what is left, so I wouldn’t pull it if I were you.

thank!

Please, good luck in your search, and have a good rest.)))

Decide on a resort (if it is an island, then which one, because the season is on them, oddly enough, at different times). For example, my daughter and I rested on Koh Samui in late June-early July, that is, at a time that is not considered a season for Thailand, upon arrival, local guides said that it was great there in the summer. In Pattaya were earlier in May, very high humidity, unpleasant. In general, the high season ends somewhere at the end of March, after prices are calm, you can catch last-minute tours. But you should not count on very large discounts, the high price for the flight. By the way, we lived on Samui on Lamai at the Samui Jasmin Resort 3 * hotel, a very decent hotel, it has excellent reviews. If you decide to stay on it - I will give some advice.

I would like to add some more information to my answer. There are 5 * hotels in Thailand, it is better to leave them alone, the order of numbers is very serious there, they often go to them for a good SPA, service, etc., and the situation is interesting with 3 * and 4 *. For the most part, they are identical. Choose from reviews. As the guides explained to us, tour operators almost determine their star rating by eye, but this is a subjective matter (our hotel on Koh Samui is 3* on some sites, 4* on others) !!!!
аватар Inessika73
I'll add more prices. 10 days on Koh Samui in a building overlooking the sea + 2 days in Bangkok + 2 free sightseeing tours and BB meals for two adults cost us about $ 2,500, but we were from Ukraine and flew from Kyiv on a regular flight, not a charter. And you, as I understand it, are Russian. So your compatriots called prices higher, I don’t know what it depends on.
аватар bileg
Prices at the beginning of the season (November) jumped due to the fact that the media spread rumors about an unprecedented flood, many tourists who booked tours in advance simply refused. We bought a tour for 13 days in Pattaya park 3 * with BB for two paid 67,000 rubles (we paid at a rather high rate, because the dollar was growing in Russia at that time), departure from the Ural city, our plane was full of lucky people who bought tours in a couple of days and paid 40,000 rubles for the same program. But I would not count on last-minute offers in the season when no weather disasters are expected.
