when they offered me, I chose Phuket and we really liked it))) I haven’t been to Pattaya, so I can’t advise ... but in general, soon they will probably ask Phuket or Koh Samui?)))

Well, Phuket or Koh Samui - depends on the season.
In Pattaya, the season is all year round, but there is a different vacation for everyone :)

If you want a noisy rest and party, then you are in Pattaya, but if you are looking for romance and tranquility - Phuket.

I would not say that Patong in Phuket is quiet and romantic...

I would like interesting inexpensive excursions - the right choice. Interesting and inexpensive - from local travel agencies. Which - the mass. Visit the River Kwai for me.

Here are some excursions we were on, briefly about each:
1. Temple of Truth - a temple built of precious woods (teak, golden teak and mahogany). The craftsmen have been working on this building for about 30 years and, they say, it will take more than one decade before the temple is completed. Very beautiful!.
2. Nong Nooch Tropical Garden - if you are going here, plan to spend at least half a day visiting it, and preferably all day.
3. Park of million-year-old stones - fantastically shaped stone sculptures that look like animals, as well as petrified tree trunks, which are over a million years old. You can move around the park on foot or on a tourist train with open trailers. Park opening hours - from 08:00 to 18:00, daily.
4. Crocodile and snake farms - visiting a show where trained reptiles perform, tasting crocodile and snake meat (very tasty !!!), an exhibition of reptile skin products. It is possible to feed the reptiles in the aviary with fresh meat using a special fishing rod.

6. Mini Siam Park - miniature mines of all the most outstanding architectural structures of the world are collected here in the open air: ancient temples, cathedrals of Old Europe, the Eiffel Tower, the Tower of London, the Statue of Liberty, etc.
7. o. Samet + fire show - a truly fabulous vacation on the ocean, sun, white sand, palm trees ..., dinner in the evening, and a fire show (must go!)

1. Royal Palace - a complex of buildings and structures, which includes the royal residence itself, Buddhist temples - the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which houses one of the most valuable relics of the country - a Buddha statue made from a single nugget (a cool sight).
2. Safari park - at first the tour will be on the bus, the feeling that you are in a real African safari: giraffes, lions, zebras, tigers ... roam freely in the wild. You can hand feed the giraffes. In the park every hour there are interesting performances in the dolphinarium, monkey circus, pool with fur seals.

I advise you to Phuket, and even better on Koh Samui, it is much more beautiful there. But if we compare Phuket and Pattaya as a beach holiday - of course Phuket. There, the sea is cleaner and more beautiful, and the trips to the islands are wonderful. If you choose Phuket, be sure to go on excursions to James Bond Island, to the Phi Phi Islands, and to the most beautiful island in my opinion - Raya.

I was in Phuket and Koh Samui, and in Pattaya. Everywhere is excellent in its own way.

3. There are more texts from travel agencies about Pattaya, about the islands they often can only say one thing - "relaaaaks".

Really more expensive only by the amount of the cost of the road. Hotels, contrary to popular belief, at the same price as in Pattaya. I'm talking about Koh Samui. Only here on the beach of the budget "three-ruble note" you can swim, and there is less trash.
