We were in Phuket for 14 days, disappeared at sea and never saw seagulls. Why?

Probably, the tourists got scared and flew off into the distant
countries.

Humor is good! But I'm seriously interested in this question.
аватар sigur62
Because they are all in my car, they have already spoiled everything, they would rather fly to Phuket, or something ...
аватар 4yuka
If it's not a secret: where is the car? Well, I really want to see seagulls!!!
аватар alex45
There the car was dirtied, but not the seagulls remained.

Not gulls live in the city, but monsters - their name is martyns. This is the scourge of the dumps.
аватар sigur62
4yuka, in Vyborg, not far from St. Petersburg. And the seagulls are here. True, they mainly eat in the garbage dumps, there is more food there than in the Gulf of Finland, such huge and strong cormorants, or whatever they are, martyns ("S", allenyshka).
аватар alex45
And I also thought. Maybe they are being poisoned in Phuket, because
they yell a lot and interfere with sleep for tourists! And, an option ???!
аватар sigur62
In general, motorcyclists also interfere a lot, but they are not poisoned ...
аватар alex45
And why motorcyclists are not poisoned, unfairly!
аватар sigur62
Alex, modera piss off. It's still no Pope74 today))))
аватар alex45
And why, what questions, such and answers. Soon they will ask. Why sharks do not swim to Sharm. And here are the brains of land!

4uyka, great question!
As for the seagulls, I once asked myself a question for a long time, but he, having not found an answer, disappeared into the depths of a long box =)))
In fact, as I was able to find out, seagulls, due to the location of Thailand in such latitudes, are rare guests here. Brown-headed gulls (Larus brunnicephalus) and sooty terns (Sterna fuscata) are rare. But pygmy terns (Sterna anaethetus) live here permanently, but for the most part, for some reason, much to the south of Phuket. It remains only to find out why =) Local ornithologists are convinced that birds are looking for wild, uninhabited places, but I believe that this is another Thai invention =)))
