We bought on the street from the first ones we came across, everything was fine, I don’t remember the prices anymore, the Similan Islands are the best excursion, we bargained very cheaply, everything was fine, the bus just came for us a little one :)

In Pattaya there is such a thing as "auto tour". You order a car with a driver from the agency, who will take you along a certain route. The driver is not a guide, but you are not tied to the time, you can adjust the route, the transfers are faster. It was quite inexpensive, a little more expensive than an excursion from the operator for two.

+1 for motorbike, the most reliable, fastest and cheapest means of transportation. During the day we drove half the island on it and saw everything. Excursions are the cheapest from the locals, if English is not a problem. Russian prices are usually 2 times higher, although the route is the same. In Pattaya, you can already find Russian prices, like Thai ones, but I doubt it in Phuket. At least I have no information about such agencies.
