In general, I agree with the previous answer. I was in Thailand twice: I went on almost all the excursions (only I didn’t go to Cambodia and Ayutthaya - I hope to do it during my next visit). I’ll add from myself: in Bangkok, you can not take excursions, but see everything on your own - it will be much cheaper and more impressions. In Bangkok: Safari Park, Bayoke Sky (observation revolving platform, panoramic view of the city). In Pattaya: you can see Mini Siam, Alcazar and Tiffany shows, crocodile and snake farms and surrounding islands on your own. Of all the excursions, I liked the most: the Kwai River, Safari Park, Khao Kheo Zoo, Wat Yan temple complex, Nong Nooch, Chanthaburi province.
