In Pattaya, you can also see hotels in the center. Beach-islands, Ko Lan. Ferry-40min. $ 1, tuk-tuk on the island $ 1, sunbed with umbrella $ 1-2. For me, the best beach is Samae. I was in Camelot, the reviews are contradictory, but I had no problems in 2 weeks, I liked it / like 3 stars /. Pluses - 10 minutes walk to the pier, everything else is also within walking distance.

I was in Pattaya and Phuket, in Phuket the beaches are better and the sea is cleaner, in principle all the beaches and Patong and Karon and Kata are good ... in Pattaya the sea is no longer the same ... In terms of excursion load and pricing policy, both places are approximately the same , and yet I liked it more in Pattaya, I stayed at the Centara Grand Mirage 5 * hotel, an excellent hotel on the seafront, all rooms with sea views, a huge area, many pools, 4 restaurants, and much more. I recommend excursions to Bangkok, and to the Nong Nooch tropical garden, Koh Lan I don’t recommend ..... Sammet or other islands are better .... If you go to Phuket, I advise you to go to the Similan Islands, and Khao Sok

You definitely will not be able to combine the sea with impressions. But you can do the following. To go to Pattaya, the hotel is absolutely not important, just to spend the night. From Pattaya, make a tour of the country, gain impressions (and there will be a lot of them if you don’t sit in a hotel, but watch, watch, walk, hang out ...). For this, the hotel needs to be closer to the center. There is NO clean sea in Pattaya ANYWHERE!!! Only impressions from excursions, although it is much steeper than the sea. Then for 4 nights go to Koh Chang to a cool hotel for relaxation. It's not far from Pattaya (3 and a half hours by minivan) and not very expensive. Transfer from the hotel to the hotel and back costs me 1500 baht. Which hotel you choose, but something good is better. For example, my favorite Paradise resort on Klong Prao. On the last day, return to Pattaya, do some shopping (I'll show you where the prices are normal even for brands) and return home with impressions and a tan. If you need to arrange, please contact. Otherwise, I somehow went home, and there is nothing to remember except for Thai food (very tasty!), funny trances, a hotel and a merry song "Pattaya-Pattaya", in fact, there is nothing!
