Jomtien is one option, and the second is the north of Pattaya - Naklua. There, too, the water is "clean" compared to the center. But I'm squeamish, to be honest. That’s what it was like that before that they swam only in the Red Sea, but there I left the hotel and immediately the beach + corrals, but here I’m worried that we won’t deal with trips to the islands, we also have to go by ferry there. We were in Pattaya several times, looked at all the hotels, but stayed 2 times at the AMBASSADOR. This is Jomtien, where the beach is clean, I must say, and the territory is large. My family and I rested there 2 years in a row for 20 days. We chose and considered many hotels, it is impossible to live and swim in the center, dirt and unpleasant smell, it seems that it is everywhere, but it is not on Jomtien! So we recommend it there!

Let's go to the farthest point, Botany Beach (in Thailand, you can relax in any hotel, using its entire territory, even if you live at the station). My daughter swam, we also got in once, but there was no more special desire to go into this water, we swam in the pool. Not in Pattaya itself. But there is Koh Larn, a half-hour boat ride from Pattaya. The water there is great. 5 dollars in both directions is not so much.
