I recommend it to everyone if you want to bring good memories!... I put 4 food, because I didn’t find my favorite cereals for breakfast, and from the entertainment in the hotel there was only live music in the lobby bar, but wonderful! all the entertainment in the city itself))) Dusit is a friendly well-trained staff, cleanliness, beauty, comfort, coziness, great atmosphere, proximity to the sea and the city, but not the fuss, safety, the scent of flowers is everywhere, a gentle melody on each floor, orchids for sleep coming! . . everything is super)))
Of the undoubted advantages of Thailand, its people should be noted. These are exceptionally honest people who are not going to prick you, like the Turks, for example. Thais care about tourists. For example, on excursions they offer umbrellas, which are always needed in this country. When it doesn't rain, then such a sun shines that you simply melt under it.
Another highlight is the food. Despite my sick stomach, in Thailand I completely forgot about it. And this despite the fact that all the products are outlandish, peppered, there is no question of any hygiene in cooking. Draw your own conclusion. The thing is that the products there are fresh and natural. It would never occur to anyone to use rotten shrimp, because the sea shares its gifts with people in abundance.
I lived in a 5-star hotel Dusit Thaini Pattaya - a very good place. If not for one "but". There was a renovation going on. From my window, the view was not only of the pool and the sea, but also of a bunch of Thai workers who were busy under the windows with building materials. All day long sawed, planed, brought something. Agree, the pleasure is small. I asked the front desk to change my room. Changed... To another floor, higher. From above, the fuss of the workers was even better visible. The most interesting thing is that they not only worked there, but also lived, right on the lawns. And what? - The climate is warm. In the morning, at seven o'clock, they had breakfast. At first I didn’t understand: I think they give, they didn’t have time to come to work, but already with a plate in their hands. But it turned out that they were still at home, or rather before work. I lived on the second floor (although according to the strange hotel system, it was considered the third, and the lobby was the fourth, but it had access to the street, that is, in fact, the first floor. My friend also lived on the third floor, but his windows overlooked the garden ( opposite side), but for some reason this room was actually the first floor of the building. So imagine his surprise. He goes out onto the balcony, and from there the view opens up picturesque: a beautiful garden, on the lawns of which Thais sleep.
After my meeting with the general manager, my number was changed again. This time on the 7th floor with a view of the green dirty roofs, the sea and the construction site (on the side).
By the way, the hotel honestly warns its guests about temporary inconveniences in connection with the reconstruction of the hotel in the form of a sheet in English, found among a pile of papers, inviting them to visit spa treatments, dine in a chic restaurant, etc. These temporary inconveniences will last until the end of November. Or maybe longer. The Thais are not particularly in a hurry. They have a lifestyle. For example, according to the original schedule, repairs were supposed to be completed in October.
If not for the constant knocking, the hotel is not bad. But who wants to live on vacation to the sound of a hammer... Moreover, as I understand it, they have a lot of rooms with a “but”, apparently because of the strange project by which the hotel was built.
The hotel has 3 swimming pools, outdoor jacuzzi. The pools offer great views of the bay. Orchids fall from the trees into the water and swim with the rest. Not many people near the pools. Asians prefer not to undress at all, they even bathe in what they walk down the street.
Breakfast at the hotel is a fairy tale. For every taste and color. The choice is large. You can crunch sushi in the morning or Thai soups, or traditional eggs with sausages. Large selection of juices, several types of fruits.
The only negative is that sometimes around 9 o’clock you won’t be crowded for breakfast. Just pandemonium. In general, the hotel is always full, although if you are not at breakfast, then this is not particularly annoying.
Another downside is the elevators. Their doors close very quickly and painfully. I've never seen a door hit so hard against my body. A big minus is the passage from the hotel to the street. It is very long and, coupled with the heat, unbearable.
Holidays in Thailand are controversial. On the one hand, exotic. Lots of interesting excursions, monkeys, elephants, delicious food, but on the other hand, this Pattaya is kind of a mess. How one can live there is not clear. But some Russians buy apartments in this place.
Going there to satisfy sexual appetites is also not clear. Do men really care so much about who....Thais are images. On the strength of all the time I saw two more or less pleasant.
Of the excursions, I definitely liked the elephant village, an independent trip to the island of monkeys, safari couples, but without shows there. Nong Nooch Park did not make any impression, although Thai traditional dances deserve attention.
For those who stay at the Dusit Thaini Pattaya hotel, I advise you to eat at the Kiss food and drinking eatery, right at the crossroads at the exit of the hotel. Although it looks like a shabby place, the food and drinks there are worthy. Plus a menu in Russian. And most importantly, the stomach really liked it there. For 200 baht or less, you can have a good dinner and even drink wine or a martini.
I will definitely not go to Thailand again. If only on a business trip : ). But emotions and impressions and cultural shock, as the Americans say, are more than enough.
The hotel has a fitness room with modern equipment and a Turkish bath. The hotel has a beautiful Devarana Spa with a view of the winter garden with a pond, separate rooms with bathrooms and a patio, the minimum cost of procedures is 1600 baht.
Breakfast at the hotel is included. Great buffet at Cascade cafe; which includes both European and Thai dishes, as well as fruits and freshly squeezed juices. Lunch at the hotel to order, in the evening at the restaurant buffet 750 baht per person. On Saturdays, there is a BBQ party at the Bay restaurant (1200 baht per person children from 3-12 years old half price), which is located on the very cape of the hotel, offering a fantastic view of the sea bay and the coastline of the city center. The hotel holds seminars on cooking Thai cuisine as a gift (cost - 3000 baht as a gift give a book about Thai cuisine. )
The hotel has a lounge bar where from 19-00-24-00 musicians play and sing European music. There is a Chinese restaurant on the 8th floor of the hotel.
All rooms have air conditioning, balconies. The room has a safe, TV with 30 channels, bathroom with shower and hairdryer. In addition to beds, the rooms have couches. The beds in the room are large, so children under 3 years old are accommodated free of charge in the room in joined beds. It is better to stay in rooms on the sea and on the garden, if the room overlooks the garden, do not take the conference hall on the arena building, during the day various conferences of various noise levels are constantly held there. There are non-smoking rooms on the 5th floor.
Wi-Fi in the rooms is paid, to run the Internet on a laptop, you need to buy a card at the reception. The cost of a 30 minute card is 200 baht, 1 hour -300 baht, in Dusit Club Longue internet is free.
Conclusion The hotel is ideal for both family vacations and just if you need comfort and at the same time be in the abyss of city life.
You enter the hotel and you are enveloped in a unique smell!!! ! He then stood in my nose for a long time (in the best sense of the phrase! ) On the territory of the hotel there is a SPA center "Devaran SPA". Near the entrance to it there is a table with a plate on which the components (all sorts of leaves, bark, flowers) of the "scrub of the day" lie! It's unique and smells amazing! Beckons...Calls....M-yes, daydreamed and drowned in memories!
Essentially:
Location - already mentioned. Big C within walking distance. Passing tuk-tuks from everywhere and in all directions!
There is a tuk-tuk parking lot on the ring, you approach the one standing in the right direction, sit down, then 10 pounds for the fare (well, if you drive a decent distance) at the exit. For longer distances, the price list hangs in each tuk-tuk or you agree, as usual.
Territory - beautiful, green, well maintained. Under the trees there are nameplates and there are guided tours. In general, nice and "groomed" satisfies five stars. Merchants do not wander and in general no one else wanders around.
The contingent is a lot of Europeans. A little Russian, a little Asian. The audience is quiet. Few children were seen - it is understandable - there are more cheerful hotels !! ! Sun loungers and tables at breakfast - in abundance significant. Many age-old tourists - politely greet in the elevator and constantly smile. Nicely. No noisy companies in the hotel did not see.
Parking - good, large, with a canopy. "Avis" is located right next to it.
The beach is formally there, but I have never seen anyone on it, it is somehow located on the sidelines. Yes, and the sea in Pattaya does not have to swim, it seems to me that they go there for another : )
There are several pools. There is a rectangular one (with a flower at the bottom), there is a curved one. The depth is different. A small waterfall (massage your back), jacuzzi. Water does not cause thoughts of hyperchlorination, while clean. Decent sun loungers, towels och. decent, there are capes with a pocket that lay on a deck chair and nothing rolls under you : ). And if you give a beach boy a little tea, he will recognize you from the next day and spread everything, and open the umbrella faster than you go to him, and all this with a smile. And he will ask about the Motherland, and then he will fall behind : )
Breakfasts are normal. There was enough. It's somehow difficult for me to talk about this topic - what we eat, we have breakfast: ) There is a lot of everything, everything is tasty, the tummy never hurt.
Aunt Belching and Uncle Heartburn did not visit : ) The atmosphere is pleasant. I remember Chinese dumplings (it is understandable - there is a Chinese restaurant on the 8th floor) - delicious! Fruits - 4-6 types.
Service is on the level. I have no complaints. I never saw the maid on both trips. Clean well, everything was clean. All sorts of flowers on the bed. Nothing is missing. When you check in and at breakfast, everything is ok. quickly, kindly, with a smile.
Room equipment - I will not list everything - the necessary is present. Bathrobes (very cute - pink and blue, and most importantly, a big one for boys, and a small one for girls - everything is right: ) ), slippers, a kettle, a tea set, a safe, soap-gels, a toothbrush with paste - in short, normal!
Entertainment - every evening live music and singing (mostly jazz) in the bar on the lobby floor, but we didn’t see anything else - it wasn’t up to that. Theoretically, I know that there are Italian and Chinese restaurants there and people praised them. SPA-center......
I’d rather not, otherwise the sheet will not be enough. In short - VERY high quality, but not cheap! Even expensive (with the reservation "for Thailand")
Children - Already wrote - there are not many of them. There are no slides, as well as water entertainment. All this, if necessary, just outside the hotel on a public beach. I saw a basketball court. I didn’t pay any more attention, to be honest, because we went without a child.
And finally - the hotel is not new. The rooms need updating and it's coming. On our floor, one wing was covered with a film, there was a repair going on. There was no noise, there was no dirt, the workers did not loiter. Just the entrance was closed with a film. They upgraded the upper floors and expensive rooms, slowly getting to the usual ones. Let's hope they get it sorted out soon. By the way, there, if you take a room a little more expensive than the standard, then for 300 baht (for the whole trip) you are provided with laundry. Nicely!
When you check in at the reception, they announce which rooms are available in a higher class, if you wish, pay extra and go ahead!
I will not write about Pattaya, if you have any questions I will answer. No time. And the review will be about the hotel! I hope it helps someone : )
Summary: we have been twice and will go again! This autumn we will go (pah-pah): )
P. S. I will never forget the smell of the SPA in the hotel!!! ! (pronounced with a dreamy idiotic smile and drawl)
Good luck!
I would describe it as a 3 star hotel with great location and nice friendly staff.
The grounds are ok, the overall design of the hotel is outdated except for the refurbished Chinese restaurant on the 8th floor. In addition to the design, this restaurant also has great food and atmosphere.
My room definitely needed a makeover, especially the bathroom.
The positives were the view was great, towels and linens were always fresh and new (it can be changed twice a day if you wish), fresh fruit in the room every day, helpful and very friendly staff.
During my stay at the hotel some renovation work started, it was disturbing so there was an unpleasant noise, some lifts were not working. I believe that such work will be completed no earlier than September 2006.
The only really negative thing was the next room, where a man lived and brought "guests" every night. I thought Dusit was not that kind of hotel. . . I felt bad to have such neighbors. . . well, since this is a public forum, I won't go into all the details, just to say that the walls in the hotel are very thin.
