On the beach: nothing has changed, as if we had not left, also a sunbed 30 baht, coconut 20 baht, fish 100 baht (you can bargain 2 for 150). Although the Thais began to speak a little Russian, they ask for 4000 for a boat on Koh Lan baht, for 2500 they can agree if you drive 2-3 days in a row. (I. e. 2500 for 7-8 people, they take them, they wait, they bring them back).
We bought a ticket to the island of Samet from a tour operator. 1600 baht. They promised exclusive, few people, etc. Sorry for overpaying. It was the same as on Ko-Lan, only a long road of 1.5 hours by bus and 15 minutes by motorboat, and there were a lot of people, half-sitting sun loungers. It was necessary to take on the street from Manop.
We took an excursion to Bangkok from Manop. In addition to the Russian guide, there were 2 Thai: a woman in her 50s and a guy. Both speak Russian, only the woman speaks very correctly, with a slight accent, and the guy is worse, but everything is clear. In the temples, Taika told, very interesting, she has a good sense of humor, in the Royal Palace the boy is Thai. True, at the end of the tour it started to rain and we got wet through. But they turned this minus into a plus, saying that the rain in the holy place washed away our sins from us...
I will return to the hotel. In the room (last year we also lived in a deluxe suite) there were only chairs on the balcony, there was no table and there was no sofa in the room itself, and everything is as before: shampoo, soap, brush, shower gel, body lotion, hat - it is given every day. Tea, coffee and sugar too. The electronic safe is very convenient.
Fishing enthusiasts: Behind the hotel there is a reservoir 300-400 meters away. there for 440 baht you will get a fishing rod (or spinning it is called, I don’t know) and a fish snack. For 100 baht, a local Thai will help you with everything. Fish from 10-15 kg. Catch-release. Class! You can go there from the tour agency -900 baht. They take those who don't know. There is a canopy and a tap with water and a table with benches. We went to lunch at 14-00, you sit in the shade until the fish bite, you drink drinks.
All in all it was a great holiday and we will be back next year.
They flew not from Bangkok, but from U-Tapao (30 minutes from Pattaya). The plus is that it's close, the MINUS - WE ARE LEFT WITHOUT DUTY FREE !!!! !
You can dry swimwear and towels only on the doors of the bedside tables.
DISTURBANCE!! ! We booked a table at the stage for the New Year's holiday included in the package at the first meeting with the hotel guide on 12/27/11, but on 12/31/11. We didn’t have our armor, we sat in the most inconvenient place. Nothing could be proven. But there were many polite smiles. I note that just before the New Year, tickets to the restaurant were sold at 4.500 baht (1 baht is approximately equal to 1 ruble). Draw your own conclusions.
OUTRAGE, CONFUSION! We leave the doors to the room and the balcony are closed, we arrive - they are not locked, and the front door does not close. We call the reception - the staff came, pressed the latches of the lock and the door began to close, they say such locks. Other tourists also had unlocked front doors after cleaning the room.
- We wiped ourselves after a shower with two towels (small and large). We bought three large towels (they came in handy on excursions). True, at the request they brought the rest late in the evening. Explanation - the hotel does not have enough towels.
EVERYTHING ELSE IS NORMAL.
