we plan to go with a child of 6 years to Pattaya. choose between Ravindra and Centara
And in one and the other hotel has its pros and cons, including issues with food for the child. earlier we were in Dor-Shad, which is near Ravindra - we liked it very much, but we were alone without a child. Thanks!!!

Good evening! Children were seen both in Dor-Shad, where they lived, and from the balcony of the room overlooking the reception of the Ravindra Hotel. For breakfast in Dor-Shad, they put out a type of porridge, various options in dry form, and separately hot milk. The Japanese and Chinese used it. Good luck and have a good rest.

Probably better than Tsentar. Closer to the center, fruit markets, supermarkets. When we were in the Ambassador, we saw a bunch of tourists from Ravinda who came to our store and market. Ravinda was strained with this.

in Tsentar it is better, there is a good pool for children, a climbing wall, you can swim in the "river", swing on suspension bridges

I advise Centara, at least from a variety =)

I support. For the Centara.

The closer to the center the worse the beach. Hotel Ambassador is like a city with shops, a lot of noise. Tourists complained that they had to stand in line to eat, and they didn’t have very good rooms. We went from Dor-Shad to Ambassador for shopping. In Dor-Shad, there is a children’s playground and a shallow pool. Fruit on the beach, maybe a little more expensive for a couple of baht than in the city.

Centara_is better than Ravindra in every way!!! We rested there a couple of years ago, and what a beauty there is, a lot of pools, slides, waterfalls, a grotto, swinging bridges, etc. You won’t regret it, and next to the center, tuk-tuks go right next to gate!!!

definitely Centara, if we are talking about the Centara Grand Mirage. But this is the level of the hotel, which involves a permanent stay in the hotel. Personally, I think that if you want to spend more time at the hotel and you don’t really need excursions, then you don’t need to go to Pattaya. If I were you, I would fly or go to the islands. There the sea is good and the hotels are beautiful. And Pattaya is a transit base for tourists who spend all their time on excursions and the hotel is not important here. What is the use of Centara if you are constantly on excursions and you hardly see the hotel? Or what is the use of Centara, if you constantly sit in a hotel, but it is impossible to swim in the sea, because. is it dirty? That's just the islands. This is, of course, my personal opinion and it may differ from yours. Then definitely Centara.

I am definitely for the Centara Grand Mirage. I was with my husband and daughter 5 years old in the second half of January 2012. We were extremely pleased with this hotel. There is everything for children and water slides as many as 9 pieces. for any age and children and adults and the river on the territory in circles to swim. We were the first time in Thailand. Managed to go on excursions and go shopping. Were 12 days. Not enough. Wish they didn't take 15. Not enough. With children, you need to go here. A great hotel with awesome territory. The first two days there was a problem with what to feed the child, they only took breakfast, but then they found a Russian-Thai restaurant opposite and the problem disappeared. They themselves took Thai food, and Russian food for their daughter. You can even take it away. And everyone was happy. In the evening, by the way, all Russians who had dinner with children there. For the first time, they were impressed by the hotel. We advise!

Thank you very much!!! And what is the name of the restaurant with Russian food for the child and is there food close in quality to the diet?
аватар degtyareva
I don’t remember the name of the restaurant, but as you leave Cetara, the street goes straight (perpendicular to the main street), walk 30 meters and you will immediately see it on the left. There are waiters on the street and they call out in Russian and there is a sign. On the Russian menu, everything that we have: from borscht and broths, Caesar salad, vegetable salad, Olivier salad, pancakes, cutlets, dumplings, meat, cabbage, mashed potatoes, etc. The choice of a normal feed is possible. All sorts of freshly squeezed juices cost a penny.

There are a lot of cafes and restaurants, bars and eateries all over the street, so you will definitely find something for yourself ... We often bought food from macarons, by the way, they also cook very tasty, we took something like fish, chickens ... they also have fruits, so you definitely won’t have problems with food !!! You can also buy ready-made food in LOTUS, BIG C stores, we took sushi and grilled chicken there in the evenings fish and various pastries ... Do not worry, in general, the pleasure is great, but the hotel CENTARA-YOU will not leave you indifferent !!! On * Dolphins * there is another hotel of European quality WOODLANDS 4 * - we rested in it a year ago, so my husband liked it even more than Centara, but it makes no sense to compare the territory, it is larger in Centara and full of all the slides. ..But the hotels themselves are equivalent, although the price of Centara is much higher.

exit Centara to the right, go up 5 minutes along a small street (it already has an Italian pizzeria, a German restaurant), go out onto a big street - there are solid cafes and restaurants, many have menus in Russian, almost everywhere there are steaks (excellent), tapioca (our fries), chicken is on the menu, fish, juices and cocktails are great, sundae...
аватар marmentyeva
You can see photos of both hotels in my albums, though Ravindra is not there, but I wouldn’t go to this hotel, it’s too far from the city ... But of course YOU choose
аватар Amir1
degtyareva If you often went on excursions and shopping and were few in the hotel, then calculate how much you overpaid for the time when you were not at the hotel. Centara is not a very cheap hotel. Wouldn't it have been easier to book an inexpensive hotel near Centara and just use its territory for entertainment in your free time? For those who do not count money, this, of course, is not important, but I am always used to arranging holidays for tourists at the minimum rate with maximum comfort. Although, maybe you are right: the rest is not for counting money. Then, too, unambiguously Tsentar.

with a child of course in Centara! On the islands, of course, the sea is beautiful, but accommodation and food are many times more expensive, moving around Phuket, for example, to a store is 500 baht, and as you yourself understand, back the same 500 baht.
аватар 4yuka
Where is this from and to which store?
аватар exsido
It's from Kata Beach to Festival, Taxco Lotus, Big C.
Transfer from Kata beach to Kata Noi beach (actually 4 minutes on the way) 200 baht. And it is worth saying that taxi drivers DO NOT BARGAIN. They just don't go anywhere!
