I can suggest one hotel, a bungalow on the first line, the center of Lamai, 42c.u. day, everything is new (launched in November 2008), there is no information in the internet at all.

Be careful with pre-booking
This is our problem with the preliminary by Lamai INN99
OUR ONLY HORRIBLE DAY (out of 17 days) IN THAILAND!
It was our 9th day in thai after our north tour with two flights from chiang mai via bangok to koh samui.... but here is the counter of Lamai Inn 99.... we are led to a pool view room which we booked through savey .... and shock: the view from the window to the neighboring roof and from below under the balcony dry cleaning .... we return to the reception, we ask you to still provide us with a view of the pool .... in response, a complete refusal and we will not return the money to you, use the arguments in order:
- savadi connection and what is indicated in our reservation
- tourist police (1155) - they manage to convince them that Savadi is guilty of this
- we move on to the next stage of moral pressure by telling that this whole story will be on the Internet and no one will go to you - in response - and we are not interested in reviews on the Internet .....
as a result, we moved to another hotel the next day, we decided to try to return the money through Savadi .... by phone they promised to return it within 2 weeks ....

I think it's still the exception to the rule. everything went well with us and friends booked and stopped by at different times - everything is also fine, so think about it.

By the way, I highly recommend taking a hotel in the center or south of Lamai. To the north there is a large shallow and it is unlikely that you will be able to swim.
