The Piestany resort opened the summer season
This year, again with my husband and friends, we went for a walk around our resort town and watched the parade. For four days, residents, visitors and tourists are celebrating here and the organizers spoil them with a rich program. There are concerts in the parks, boating competitions on the Vah River, stands with products - handmade by Slovak craftsmen and of course there is something to drink and eat - beer, wine, meat, sausage and even Slovak cheeses - grilled Slovak cheeses. And I must add that on Friday the art exhibition BRIDGES was opened - this year artists from Ireland participated in the exhibition and on Sunday in the Victoria Bowling Center there was a tournament between the teams of individual countries for the Mayor's Cup prize. There was also a Concours ; Elegance competition between veteran cars. On one of them, the president of Slovakia Ivan Gasparovic and the mayor of the city Rem Chikut were brought to the opening.
It doesn’t matter that you didn’t have time to come and see, the summer season is open and by the way, in the summer the music festival and in September the international film festival CINEMATIK begins.
