How much money to take? What are the costs for ski rental, ski lift, etc.?
I'm going to rest in a month, the first time. How much money do you need to take with you? Which things?

For skiing you need a ski jacket, trousers, gloves and a hat. Maybe more glasses. Take a backpack - a useful thing in the mountains. Price data can be viewed at www.tatry.sk Depending on where, if you take Strbske Pleso, the most expensive place, the lift per day will cost, I think 25-30 Euro per person. Equipment rental - there are discounts if you rent for several days. Instructor - at least 50 Euro per day, but in principle you can learn in a day. Don't learn on your own!

Goggles (ski mask) - not just possible, but definitely necessary. Without it, you will be in the snow like a hedgehog in the fog. And just imagine the wild speed of descent - without a mask, tears from the eyes in different directions. But the backpack is just useless. Some kind of extra winder behind your shoulders, which, by the way, will not be useful in case of falls :) The clothes are desirable for mountain skiing - from gloves to a hat. Its advantages will become clear after the first fall head over heels down the slope:) Not trousers, but always overalls. A cap that fits snugly on the head. Special gloves in which poles do not slip and in which you cannot cut your hands on ski edges or snow crust. The ski jacket has enough pockets, pockets and flaps to load everything you need. You are not going to go mountaineering to unbridled mountains, but to a resort. But nevertheless, remember that skiing is still more of an extreme sport than entertainment.. There is everything on the mountain - cafes, toilets, etc., etc. Ski pass for 7 days will cost 140 euros, I guess. Strbske Pleso, by the way, is not the most expensive place at all, in Slovakia there is no such gradation at all, but the best place for skiing is Jasna. Wish you luck!

Dear eakor is very respected by me, but I insist on my own.
Glasses are desirable, yes, but not required! You can ride without them, it's individual.
Need a backpack!!! at least 1 per campaign. Let the man have a backpack. You can put water and shoes, a towel, slippers, a camera, etc. there. For example, you come to the ski area, rent equipment, which includes special ski boots, and put your shoes in a backpack. After skiing, you can go to the sauna without returning to the hotel, get slippers from your backpack. Do not listen to this ... that backpack in the mountains is a very useful thing !!!! I mean not Abalkovskiy for climbers, but an ordinary medium-sized ski backpack. It doesn’t interfere with riding at all, on the contrary, it cushions you if you fall on your back or someone hits you from behind, which happens.
Strbske Pleso is the best place to ski in Slovakia - any Slovak will tell you that. I do not rule out that it is good in Yasna.
If skiing in Smokovec is cheaper, then why can't Strbske Pleso be more expensive?
Where do these immature wise men come from?

Eakor turned out to be a woman, like in that movie. I went to the mountains once and already considers myself an expert. Why breed bullshit?
It happens to women.

Also take thermal underwear, it is very convenient. Glasses are a must. Take a cream or ointment against bruises and injuries with you (it was very useful to us) deepRelief.

I agree with lanos - glasses for a person who goes skiing for the first time, judging by his questions, are generally optional. Maybe a person will try what skiing is and will not trample him, but everything costs a lot of money. A ski suit and gloves are needed specifically for skiing (this is all later and you can wear it at home). Strbske pleso is the only resort in Slovakia with guaranteed snow all season long - tested for yourself! go to www.holidayinfo.sk for some useful information. What is the cost of rental and ski passes this year is not entirely clear. They entered the Schengen area and, judging by the not weakly increased cost of the hotel, where they stayed for 3 years in a row, it is difficult to say something about everything else. In general, Slovakia is just a fairy tale! You will definitely enjoy your trip to this country!

Dear Lanos! I attribute the attack of unmotivated aggression that you had in response to my message to your bad mood and forgive you. I advise you to go to ... the sauna in those shoes that you usually "LAY" in your backpack and then go skiing with them. Happily.
Helen20, I apologize if the answers to the question you asked on a public resource have turned into a field for polemics that are not distinguished by correctness. I wish you a wonderful holiday :)

Eakor, I have a very negative attitude towards disinformation, especially when inexperienced people ask for advice. Here you need to answer clearly and correctly, otherwise what you are not sure about, be sure to emphasize it. You are deceiving Helen20 on several counts. So this is the reaction.
I myself have many times encountered the fact that I listened to the advice of people like you and then wondered where such people come from.
аватар Helen20
Being a kind person by nature, I forgive everything and everyone at once))) and advice, that’s what advice is for, to listen, weigh the pros and cons, collect the necessary information and draw your own conclusion. Therefore, do not worry, no misinformation will confuse me. Thank you, Lanos and Eakor for the information provided and the desire to help))))

Unfortunately, you didn't write a review.
Please answer if you managed to go, and if so, what were the real prices.
Thank you.
