Autumn in Slovakia
Rested in the hotel-sanatorium "Ozon 3 *" in Bardejov (Bardejov), Slovak Republic. From Uzhgorod about 130 km. Ordered a car transfer through a travel agency for certain reasons. In principle, you can get there yourself, but you can spend a whole day on this route (by car - just 2 hours, not counting the border crossing). But I will paint an exemplary route (local time everywhere).
Uzhhorod (bus station) - Kosice (bus station) 7:40 - 10:00 - the only daily flight. Every Thursday there is another bus at 15:00. But if you do not want to spend the night in Kosice - it will not work.
Kosice (bus station) - Bardeev (bus station) 14:40 - 16:25.
Next, from Bardejovski you need to get directly to the resort area, where hotels and resorts are located (Bardejovski Kupele), for this you need to use local buses №№ 1 or 12 (each of them runs about once an hour). If you do not want to wait long - a taxi (about 10 E).
I did not see a taxi stand, you need to call by phone.
I remembered the following: 54-166-66-66. If you call from foreign mobile phones, do not forget about the country code: +421 (or 00421).
The resort has about 10 hotels, about the same number of villas, as well as a spa (Kupelny Dom). The Ozon 3 Hotel was built in 1986 and looks like new, although no traces of renovation have been noticed. Perhaps the thing is not in the year of renovation, but in the contingent of vacationers with the appropriate attitude. Ozon 3, Astoria and Alzbeta are connected to the Bathhouse by covered passages. Depending on the tour package, it includes a certain number of procedures (we had a package "Standard" -3 procedures per day). Procedures are prescribed by a doctor, the reception is conducted only in the morning. Of course, you can stay in apartments (villas), and food and treatments to buy separately in hotels and "buying house". All procedures are strictly timed.
If you want to make a diagnosis or undergo tests before the procedures, it is already paid (full ultrasound - 20 euros).
Urgent medical manipulations (injections, ECG) - I can't say, maybe it's covered by insurance. The medical department is located directly in the sanatorium and will occupy the entire second floor. Floors from the 3rd to the 6th - residential. The first floor is occupied by a spacious hall with a fountain and an exhibition of paintings by local artists, a wellness salon (paid), a swimming pool (according to our package - 2 hours a day free), a souvenir shop and 2 restaurants - "Amelia" and "Napoleon" . We ate "Napoleon". Breakfast and dinner - buffet, lunch - pre-order for the day. There are no restrictions on drinks, the set is always standard - tea and juice 3 times a day, in the morning also coffee from a coffee machine and milk. Everything is dietary, but very tasty.
The central place of the resort (and otherwise) is a colonnade with mineral springs (water and dosage prescribed by a doctor), as well as a pump room with drinking ordinary water ("Ludovy pramen" - a folk spring).
Next to the colonnade (also in the center) is a functioning Catholic church.
Entertainment at the resort includes indoor tennis courts, as well as outdoor pools (but the latter have been closed since the end of the year) and numerous cycling and hiking trails. On the outskirts of the resort is the Slovak Museum of Folk Life "Skanzen", but it is open only in the morning, so it was not possible to visit. As I said above, on the outskirts of the resort there is a bus station from which buses depart to Bardejov, as well as major cities in Slovakia: Presov and Poprad. In Koš ice and Bratislava, buses run only from the bus station in Bardejov.
Next to the bus station there is a small food and clothing market (things, unfortunately, China is not of the best quality). Nearby is also a "Resort shopping and entertainment complex" with one grocery store, two souvenirs, several cafes, a local tour agency and a cinema and concert hall.
The main souvenir from Bardeyev - waffles, cared for and sold at the resort in two bakeries, is also available in the store (price 1.5 - 2.0 euros per package).
There will be a separate story about the city of Bardeyev, I will note only that buses №1 and №12 go to its center, each about once an hour, strictly on schedule, the cost of the trip is 0.50 euros. And now a little more about the hotel. The rooms have TV (except Slovak, there are Polish, Czech and German TV channels), there is wi-fi, the rooms are cleaned daily, on the ground floor there is a computer with internet, on the third - a pool table, children's corner at the entrance to restaurant area.
The resort is located in a clean area, like a gorge, but the air around is very clean, ideal for a relaxing holiday. The only problem is that it is not easy to get from Ukraine. Theoretically, of course, you can get past Kyiv-Bratislava (it stops at Art.
Kosice), but by bus or train, but it is best if WizzAir launches a flight Kyiv-Kosice, especially since the second largest city in Slovakia, the airline operates flights to other European cities
