A little sad
Hello. I want to tell you about our trip to Slovakia.
We organized our trip ourselves. We rented a house in Demanovska Dolina, 9 km from Jasna. Went 4th in cars. We planned to ride for 6 days. why on the first day we bought ski passes for 6 days (144 euros for a ski pass).
Skiing on Chopka is excellent, interesting, you can ride through the forest, you can go along excellent tracks. I especially liked 12 in Zahradki, where the snowpark is : )
The house was excellent. We prepared meals ourselves, watched movies in the evenings, the bedrooms, although small, are clean and comfortable.
Now for the bad. As a warning for future travelers: on the third day of our stay, in the evening we decided to go to Beshanova for thermal springs, since you can’t take your phone and money with you to the sauna, we left everything at home.
upon returning home, we spent another hour in the living room for a pleasant conversation, returned to the room, let's look for phones, but they are not there.
At first they did not understand, and then it dawned on us that we were robbed.
They took away the phones, we had 6 phones for 4 people, by chance we took 1 with us. In addition, they took away GPS, 2 walkie-talkies, money about 700 euros, 1 camera, the camera of our friends, accidentally ended up in the car and stayed with us.
The thieves left us only documents and credit cards. We called the police to file a report. As it turned out, the thief broke open the balcony door on the first floor with a crowbar, then tore off the lock on the bag, and rummaged through our things, taking all the electronics and money. Thank God the skis weren't taken away.
The most interesting thing was revealed later. It turns out that this house is already the second robbery in a month, the police blame everything on tourists, supposedly they themselves do not close the doors in the houses. In order for us not to be to blame, we took all the marks on the doors with the remaining camera.
Then already in the commissariat, the commissar told us that in this region for the 4th robbery of tourists in a month.
Friends, if you are planning to visit this "wonderful" country
European Union, beware:
1. They are watching you: what did you come with, what do you do in the evenings, what do you carry with you, so take all valuables with you. Or better hide.
2. The fact that you live in a hotel does not improve the situation. Do not leave skis in public storage areas, you will not prove anything later.
3. Doors are always and everywhere closed, roofing felts in the house, roofing felts in the hotel, roofing felts in the car.
4. If, God forbid, this has already happened to you, call the police, be sure to report the entire list of what was missing. And remember what banknotes you have money.
5. Put pressure on everyone (the administration of the hotel, the administration of those who sell ski passes) to get your money back for a spoiled vacation. The protocol drawn up by the police will help you with this.
6. Write down on a piece of paper the IMEA of all phones, and the serial numbers of all equipment. This will all help to get more of the cops.
Of the useful tips, at the gas station they cannot say that you need 30 liters : ) You yourself must fill in exactly 30 liters and pay for 30 liters. Otherwise, you will be flooded with as much as you can fit in . . at least, in fact, Uzhgorod is 250 km away, and you can safely get by with Ukrainian gasoline at a Ukrainian price.
2. Be sure to stick the ticket on the autobahn on the windshield . . otherwise the fine is 140 Euro
3. always turn on the headlights, a fine of 60 euros.
Total. Since this trouble happened to us on the 3rd day of our stay, we could no longer stay there and left. And we had a great rest in Bukovel for the rest of the vacation : )
