Because you will not see all the beauties of Sakhalin. If you take excursions from the locals, it will cost you a pretty penny. Therefore, you need to have friends here, then - yes, it might be worth going. I often hear from my friends (who have never been to Sakhalin) that there must be AH, some kind of romance. There is no romance there. And the prices will surprise you unpleasantly. From my own experience, I will say that for me Moscow prices after Sakhalin simply seem like heaven. Probably even cheaper in Kaliningrad. By the way, many from Sakhalin go to Kaliningrad to live :)
