New Year's holidays in Moscow.
I celebrated the New Year for the first time in Moscow as a tenth-grader. I went with a group of peers, had a good excursion program, lived in a modest hotel, but in the historic center of the Soviet capital. I remember that on December 31 we were winding our way along the avenues and boulevards, listening in fascination to the shining shop windows, listening to stories about kings, queens and leaders. New Year's Eve so that very much - I do not remember, but it was fun! On the first of January we were dragged to the Kremlin Armory, and in the evening to the "Christmas tree" to the concert hall "Russia".
20 years have passed, and New Year's tours to Moscow and St. Petersburg are just as popular. Specialists of tour business of both countries offer Ukrainian tourists new and classic routes, new hotels, new entertainment centers and shopping malls. Santa Claus and Snow Maiden invite you to the Christmas festivities in the Great Ustyug.
2009 and 2010 I also celebrated the New Year in Moscow.
Now I know that going to the museum on the first day of the year is not realistic. It is much more interesting to skate in the Hermitage Garden or on Red Square, the party is provided. Festive events are held in the unique royal estates of Tsaritsyno and Kolomenskoye. I was quite surprised when I went out on January 1 near the yard of a high-rise building and saw a holiday organized by the municipality: costumes, competitions, songs, tea parties and gifts for children.
And the adrenaline rush will be at a height of 337 meters if you stand on the glass floor. Guess where it is? Yes, the observation deck of the Ostankino TV tower. At the same time a small number of people go up, pre-order a pass on the site of the TV tower. And you don't need any travel agencies ...everything can be done online in 5 minutes. If it is clear, I will be lucky to see endless Moscow landscapes. The spirit intercepts, but it's worth it.
But the famous restaurant "Seventh Heaven", which revolved around the vertical of the TV tower is still not open after the fire, but be vigilant, rascals are actively offering fake reservations.
I wish you a happy celebration in Russia.
