Santa Claus arrived in the city of Cheboksary
On December 24 at 12 noon, Father Frost arrived in the city of Cheboksary on the Republic Square, launched the procession of the "Parade of Fairy Tales" and opened his Residence on Red Square.
More than a thousand people took part in the fairy-tale movement, among them schoolchildren, members of creative teams from cultural palaces, music, art and sports schools, and citizens. Each participant was dressed in a fabulous costume made by himself. The main theme of the carnival was folk tales, legends, legends and epics.
To the sounds of the concert and brass band, Santa Claus, accompanied by fairy-tale characters, went to the main site of New Year's celebrations - Red Square, which is located in the most picturesque and favorite place for citizens and tourists - on the Cheboksary Bay.
On Red Square, Santa Claus greeted the citizens and guests of the capital, awarded the winners of New Year's competitions and opened his Residence, where he will meet the kids until January 8.
After the grand opening, the start of the holiday was given: Cheboksary residents were waiting for a theatrical performance, a New Year's quest, a flash mob and a concert.
Every day from December 24 to January 8, in the Christmas town on Red Square, citizens and guests of the capital are waiting for meetings with cheerful animators, and every evening at 18:00 in front of the Father Frost Residence there will be fabulous theatrical performances in which everyone can participate.
According to the instructions of the head of the city administration Aleksey Ladykov the entire infrastructure has been created for holding winter holidays and active recreation for citizens. Red Square shone with many lights. This year, the concept of bright lighting design was carefully thought out and implemented, new equipment was used, 15 spotlights were installed, a Christmas tree in front of the Chuvash Drama Theater, where the main city stage is located, was illuminated with green LEDs, lighting poles were decorated with garlands stylized as chandeliers, and a 14 exquisite openwork arches. All this creates an atmosphere of fairy tale and magic.
The largest skating rink in Chuvashia has been opened on Red Square - more than 3 thousand square meters have been flooded.
The Christmas market is open. It is filled with New Year's souvenirs. Hot tea, fried sausages, shish kebabs and fragrant fresh pastries are waiting for guests.
Slides have been built for lovers of outdoor activities, and snowmobile, banana, and cheesecake rides are organized for children.
