I won’t lie, we always took it as a set. But purely theoretically, if each item has a price, then you can take it dismantled. True umbrellas are different; there are those that stick into the sand, they are lighter, others are more stationary with a heavy stand. This is unlikely to carry far. When we rested on another municipal beach, some bought a small umbrella and walked with it, relaxing on their bedding. It turned out cheaper than paying for the kit.
