I was able to combine all this in Halhidiki. Only Athens - 11 hours on the way, Meteora and Kastoria - 5 hours each (this is one way). So you need to go for at least 2 weeks, but in general I realized that Greece should be mastered gradually, in the summer - to sunbathe, in the winter - to explore the sights) Farther...
Need advice from experienced tourists in Greece. Vacation, as usual, two weeks. Arrival in Athens, departure from Heraklion. Preliminarily I plan 3.5 days for Athens. From Athens by ferry to Mykonos, there are 2 full days, then Santorini 2 full days, then Crete 6.5 days. Crete on the residual principle. First of all, I am worried about whether there will be enough time for Athens and Santorini with Mykonos.

I won’t say about Athens and Mykonos, but you need four full days on Santorini. 1st day to walk and Fira and Imerovigli, climb the rock Skaros. Day 2 In the morning, go to Oia, and at 14.00 return to the port of Fira and take an excursion to the volcano. On the 3rd day, you need to go to the excavations in Akrotiri, and after 11.00 drive to the Red Beach, from there take a boat ticket to all three beaches - Red, White and Black. The 4th day is worth relaxing on the beaches of Kamari and Peri ... Farther...

A quality beach holiday in Athens, most likely, will not work. But, of course, you need to see this wonderful historical city. Now it is restless there (however, as elsewhere), but this has not yet affected tourists. Greeks I know go to strikes as if they were going to work. Farther...
Good day to all! We are a young couple, in August we are going to go to Greece for the first time .. We deliberately do not consider the islands because we want to see the sights. Help with the choice. I would like to lie in the sun, swim in the clear sea, sandy beach, beautiful landscapes (well, very beautiful), and travel on excursions. I read that it’s very far to travel from the resorts of Halkidik for all excursions, but it’s beautiful there. Is it so? Is the Peloponnese inferior in beauty? Since we are a young couple, we would like the presence of bars and a couple of discos. Tell me where exactly in the Peloponnese you can actively and have fun? There is relatively little information on the Internet about the resorts of this peninsula. For a long time I can not decide where it is better to go.

The beauty of Halkidiki is very much inferior to the Peloponnese! There are no sights in Halkidiki, Mystras, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Olympia, Corinth, Namfplin, Athens, Lavrion, Sounion is the Peloponnese. Delphi almost. Halkidiki is just sandy beaches and hotels promoted by travel agencies "under Turkey". There is Athos, but women will not get there, and men need to try - they have their own visa, you need to follow a lifestyle, etc. The Peloponnese is the mountains that start right out of the s ...
