Good afternoon. I would like to have a rest this year in Greece in August-September. Therefore, I am interested in what the weather is like at this time in Thessaloniki. I would also like to know about the availability of beaches in these places.

In Thessaloniki itself, a beach holiday is not so hot, there is a promenade and a port. The port is one of the largest in Greece, you know. There are many beaches in the vicinity of Thessaloniki - the best options are Halkidiki, but it's an hour or two drive from Thessaloniki. And if you don’t go to the beach, then the city is interesting, ancient and beautiful. Farther...

I was able to combine all this in Halhidiki. Only Athens - 11 hours on the way, Meteora and Kastoria - 5 hours each (this is one way). So you need to go for at least 2 weeks, but in general I realized that Greece should be mastered gradually, in the summer - to sunbathe, in the winter - to explore the sights) Farther...
Good day to all! We are a young couple, in August we are going to go to Greece for the first time .. We deliberately do not consider the islands because we want to see the sights. Help with the choice. I would like to lie in the sun, swim in the clear sea, sandy beach, beautiful landscapes (well, very beautiful), and travel on excursions. I read that it’s very far to travel from the resorts of Halkidik for all excursions, but it’s beautiful there. Is it so? Is the Peloponnese inferior in beauty? Since we are a young couple, we would like the presence of bars and a couple of discos. Tell me where exactly in the Peloponnese you can actively and have fun? There is relatively little information on the Internet about the resorts of this peninsula. For a long time I can not decide where it is better to go.

The beauty of Halkidiki is very much inferior to the Peloponnese! There are no sights in Halkidiki, Mystras, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Olympia, Corinth, Namfplin, Athens, Lavrion, Sounion is the Peloponnese. Delphi almost. Halkidiki is just sandy beaches and hotels promoted by travel agencies "under Turkey". There is Athos, but women will not get there, and men need to try - they have their own visa, you need to follow a lifestyle, etc. The Peloponnese is the mountains that start right out of the s ... Please tell me if it is possible to get to Thessaloniki by public transport from the hotel or from the village. How much do you need to buy something to use a sunbed on the beach. Thanks.

From the hotel to the a / p Thessaloniki, according to the description, about 90 km. in one direction, why go so far on vacation and even by public transport? If you wish, you can go on an excursion to Meteora. On sunbeds: sunbeds on the beach are paid, if you buy something for 3-4 euros at the bar, you can use a sunbed near the bar, but as soon as you go somewhere, you lose the right to use this sunbed. If you just pay for the sunbeds, then you can use them all day. If you do not want to pay fo ... Farther...
You need about 50-100 km from Paralia Katerinis. All hotels, sand for the child, food for the beloved husband. Thank you!

Olympian Bay 4 * - 30 km from Paralia Katerinis, large sandy beach - the entrance is a bit rocky, the food is good, although the beach bar seems to be for an extra charge even on the alley. Farther...
