They weren’t in Thailand at all, they were in the UAE for one day, except for the Dubai Mall, they were nowhere else. In favor of the Emirates, not such a long flight, not such hot weather. Our goal is not a beach holiday, but excursions and shopping. Well, a couple of times you could get out for a couple of hours at sea. I suspect that in the UAE there will be cool water and windy. In favor of Thailand - the opportunity to sit in a street cafe with a can of beer for my husband and an abundance of fruit for me. Prices for tours are the same, shopping, food and excursions, I suspect, will be cheaper in Thailand. The issue of price is not so fundamental, I would like not to get bored, before we always went with friends.

We were from 15 to 22 March last year in Dubai. The water temperature was 24 -25 degrees (we measured it ourselves). Quite comfortable weather for excursions and for swimming. You definitely won't get bored there.

It’s good to go to Tai in December-February, and then it starts to rain, this is noticeable in hotel prices. On excursions, Tai is at least an order of magnitude higher and 10 days is not enough for a third of excursions. In terms of shopping, the UAE is better and more compact for good goods (I think there is no shopping at all in Pattaya, with the exception of souvenirs and fruits. In Bagkok, you can do shopping, but live in the center for convenience. You did not mark the level of hotels, so it’s hard for me to recommend hotels in Jumeirah (Dubai) or 2 *, 3 * in the center of Dubai, in Sharjah there are on the coast and in the center. There are good hotels in Ras Al Khaimah, but it’s far to ride every day. the same category in Pattaya prices are much higher.Have a good selection of trips and holidays.

It was possible to sunbathe, but after the water I wanted to get dressed immediately. Very then I regretted that we had only one day at our disposal, I wanted to return. In Southeast Asia, they were in Hainan and Vietnam, but not in Thailand. Some of our friends are very fond of Pattaya and recommend starting acquaintance with Tai from it in order to feel the exotic. Others spit and advise only Phuket. The Bangkok + Krabi option did not come to mind, it needs to be considered. Frankly speaking, my husband is rather heavy on his feet, he will not master many excursions, the botanical garden and butterflies are unlikely to interest him. And I considered hotels Citimax Al Barsha 3 * in Dubai and Cozy Beach Hotel 4 * in Pattaya. The price is 130,000 and 122,000 in rubles, departure from Moscow.

Prior to that, they always stayed in fives, but went exclusively to a beach holiday, more often with children, so they spent a lot of time in the room. - almost all excursions offered in Pattaya are available from Bangkok, and most of them are geographically closer from the capital. Except, perhaps, Nong Nooch and Sriracha. And Bangkok itself deserves a visit not passing through.

And what else is a very significant difference between the UAE and Thailand for me personally - this is the method of organizing recreation. Hotels in the Emirates give the best prices to operators, an independent trip does not get cheaper. Going to Thailand "on a package tour" makes sense only when you are going specifically and only to Pattaya and there are "burning", and there are almost always there. In case of any "deviations" - only on your own. I see Russian registration in your profile - many of my friends from Russia even bought the cheapest last minute tour to Pattaya in order to use only the air ticket, which separately cost more.
